Visitation will be held on Saturday, May 14, 2011 from 9 A.M. to 11 A.M. at True Light Baptist Church in Merryville.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 14, 2011 at 11 A.M. at True Light Baptist Church.
Rev. Dartez will officiate.
Interment will follow at Merryville Community cemetery.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, June 3, 2011 at 2:00 P.M. at Grace Church in DeRidder.

Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, June 2, 2011 at 3:00 pm at Myers Colonial Funeral Home in DeRidder. The Reverends Arlen Smith and George Glass, Jr. will officiate. Burial will follow at Cannon cemetery in Merryville.
Mrs. Parker is survived by her husband, Charlie Parker, Jr. of Merryville; two daughters, Glenda Goodwin and husband Mike and Shelia Clayton and husband Joel all of Merryville; Grandsons, Joey Goodwin and Devan Goodwin both of Merryville and Granddaughter Morgan Verrette also of Merryville. She is also survived by a brother, Troy Higginbotham and wife Sharon of Merryville.

Mrs. Knighton was a 1959 graduate of Grambling State University. She was an educator for the Beauregard Parish School System for 29 years and a member of True Light Baptist Church in Merryville.
She leaves to cherish her memory: husband of 53 years, Beaver Knighton, Sr. of Merryville; 2 sons, Michael Knighton and wife Pamela of Merryville and Beaver Knighton, Jr and wife Tonya of Sugarland, TX; a daughter, Michele Knighton Spikes and husband Mac of DeRidder, LA; 4 brothers, Matthew Gill, Sr. of Woodville, TX, Robert Gill of Slidell, LA, Lloyd Gill of Leesville, LA and Bennie Gill of Yeadon, PA; a sister, Josie McCoy of Jasper, TX;7 Grandchildren and 2 Great Grandchildren.
