Those left to cherish his memory are his sons, Chad Edward Davis and Donald Patrick Davis; daughters, Carrie Jones and husband Jared, and Sarah Davis, all of Longville, LA; sisters, Jane Greninger and husband Sam of Newton, TX, Kathy Trevino of Woodville, TX, and Becky Couey and husband Ray of Newton, TX; grandchildren, Eric Wayne, Blake, and Brynn Faye Rodeghero, Paige, Hunter Patrick and Kayleigh Davis, Larissa and Jake Jones, McKenzie and Derek Davis; great grandchildren, Corbin Rodeghero and Callie Rodeghero . He was preceded in death by his wife, Brenda Faye Davis; daughter, DeAnna Davis; son, Joe Wayne Rodeghero; parents, David and Eva Davis; brothers, Henry Davis, David Lee Davis and John Carroll Davis; sister, Helen DeWalt and brother-in-law, Cecil Trevino.
Funeral services were held Saturday, April 27, 2013 at 10:00AM at Living Faith Fellowship in Ragley, LA. Burial followed at Davis cemetery in Longville, LA. Bro. David Lilly officiated.
Barbara Bailey
March 16, 1932 - April 22, 2013
Barbara Bailey, 81, of DeRidder, LA, passed from this life on Monday, April 22, 2013. Mrs. Bailey retired from Beauregard Memorial Hospital as Director of Housekeeping. She was a life member of the American Legion Ladies Auxilliary and a life member of the Order of the Eastern Star of Moss Bluff.
Those left to cherish her memory are her husband, Billy R. Bailey, Sr. of DeRidder, LA; sons, Allen E. Bailey and wife Cindy of Sulphur, LA, Billy Ray Bailey, Jr. and wife Debbie of Westlake, LA, and Scott Bailey and wife Denice of DeRidder, LA; daughter, Donna Jean Bailey and son-in-law, Billy Carter of Winnie, TX; sister, Sue Frances Walkner of Lake Charles, LA; 9 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild. She was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur and Opal Dalton and daughter, Jan Marie Walker.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 23, 2013 from 4:00pm until 9:00pm and on Wednesday, April 24, 2013 from 9:00am until time of funeral service at 2:00pm at Myers-Colonial Funeral Home in DeRidder, LA. Burial will follow at Johnson-Bailey cemetery in Rosepine, LA. Bro. Jimmy Glass will officiate.
Clifton B. Smith, Sr.
May 1, 1930 - April 17, 2013
Clifton B. Smith, Sr., 82, of DeRidder, LA, passed peacefully at his home on Wednesday, April 17, 2013 surrounded by his loving family. He was born to Walter and Stella Smith in E. Lumberton, NC, on May 1, 1930. He retired in 1971, as 1SGT in the U.S. Army, serving 2 tours in Vietnam and was the recipient of the Bronze Star for Heroism. He also served 10 years as Captain of the DeRidder Fire Department. In his retirement years, he enjoyed RVing, fishing, gardening, attending Gospel concerts and attending Unity Baptist Church of DeRidder, where he was a member. He will be remembered, and was loved by all who knew him.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 58 years, Elsa Berger Smith; 3 sons, Walter Smith and wife Cyndi of San Bernardino, CA, Ray Smith and wife Tammy of DeRidder, LA and Clifton Smith, Jr. and wife Bridget of Lake Charles, LA; 8 grand children and 6 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Stella Smith; son, Robert “Bobby” Alan Smith; 12 brothers and sisters; and mother and father in-law, Max and Anna Berger.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, April 20, 2013 from 5:00pm until 9:00pm at Myers-Colonial Funeral Home in DeRidder, LA. Funeral services will be on Sunday, April 21, 2013 at 2:00pm also at Myers-Colonial Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Beauregard cemetery in DeRidder. Bro. Roger Gill and Bro. Michael Burkes of Unity Baptist Church will officiate.

Marie Sheffield, 81, of DeRidder, LA, passed from this life on Tuesday, April 9, 2013. Mrs. Sheffield's hobbies included reading, yardwork, gardening, cleaning house and shopping. She retired to Converse, LA with her husband in 1995 and moved back to DeRidder in 2005. She loved her 2 pets, Coco and Donkey.
Those left to cherish her memory are her son, Tim Sheffield and fiancee' Connie Youmans of Lyons, GA; daughter, Terri Carlock and husband Todd of DeRidder, LA; brother, R.C. Johnson of Houston, TX; sister, Betty Jo Skinner of Anniston, AL; daughter-in-law, Regina Sheffield of Savannah, GA; grandchildren, Kyle Carlock and Katelyn Carlock, both of DeRidder, Joshua Sheffied and wife Heather of Savannah, FA and Jake Sheffield of Savannah, GA; great grandchildren, Berkley and Channing Sheffield of Savannah, GA. She was preceded in death by her husband, Cosby Sheffield and parents, W.G. and Martha Ada Johnson.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 10, 2013, from 6:00pm until 9:00pm at Myers-Colonial Funeral Home in DeRidder, LA. A graveside service will be held on Thursday, April 11, 2013 at 1:00pm at Beauregard cemetery in DeRidder. Bro. Scott Hollis will officiate.

Annette Knighten, 66, of Rosepine, LA passed from this life on Monday, April 8, 2013. Ms. Knighten was a loving mother, grandmother, mother-in-law and sister. Her love for our Saviour Jesus defined her life. She loved Jesus and would use any opportunity to share his love with all. Annette’s passion was her children and grandchildren whom she deeply loved and cared for. Jesus and family were her foundation, in this she was unwavering. Her thoughts were always for others, even when she was yard sale shopping. The things purchased were always for someone else. Annette’s greatest dream and prayer was that her children and their families would all find their way home to Jesus. All her pain gone now, there is no doubt that she will continue this work from heaven.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Woodrow and Doris Phillips; brothers, Hoy Phillips and Lanice Phillips.

Funeral services will be Friday, April 12, 2013 at 11:00am also at First Pentecostal Church in Rosepine. Burial will follow at Mitchell cemetery in Anacoco, LA. Bro. Bankson will officiate.
