Ricky Charles Keel, 32, passed from this life on Tuesday, June 19, 2012. Those left to cherish his memory are his mother, Amy Oleta Jones Cranor; brother, Jonathan Dunn and sister, Kristin Keel all of DeRidder, Lousiana. He was preceded in death by his father, Travis Eugene Keel.
Ricky loved skydiving and had received his license to teach. Ricky also loved to help others, he always gave more than he received. His memory will live on in those that knew and loved him. He truly loved the Lord and those in his life. His favorite verse is Phillipians 4:13. I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.
Visitation will be on Saturday, June 23, 2012 at Myers-Colonial Funeral Home in DeRidder, Louisiana from 5:00pm till 9:00pm. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, June 24, 2012 at 2:00pm at Cypress Creek Baptist Church in DeRidder, Louisiana. Burial will follow at Cypress Creek cemetery. Bro. Al Gist and Bro. Charles Hoop will officiate.

Rickey Lynn Doyle, 53, passed from this life on Tuesday, June 19, 2012 in DeRidder, Louisiana.
Those left to cherish his memory are his son, Jamie Doyle and daughter, Delissa Doyle, both of DeRidder, Louisiana; brothers, Robby Doyle and wife Belinda of Glenmora, Louisiana, Edward Lee Doyle and wife Sharon of Pitkin, Louisiana and Lee Doyle of Pineville, Louisiana; sisters, Ester Gaye Neal and husband Herbert of Lakeview, Ohio; Pamela Odom and Bobby Montgomery of Pitkin, Louisiana and Rayetta Coker and husband Emmitt off Pitkin, Louisiana; one grandchild, Skylar Tanton and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Lee L. Doyle; mother, Carrie Marie Maricle Doyle and brother, Faron Doyle.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 21, 2012 at Myers-Colonial Funeral Home in DeRidder, Louisiana from 5:00pm till 10:00pm. Funeral services will be held on Friday, June 22, 2012 at 2:00pm at Lone Star Baptist Church in Cole Central Community, Louisiana. Burial will follow at Lone Star cemetery in Cole Central Community. Rev. Bruce Austin will officiate.

Vashti “Bertha” Hargrove, 85, of DeRidder, LA passed from this life on Thursday, July 25, 2013 at her home. Those left to cherish her memory are her sons, Jerome Coleman of Ontario, CA, Lionel Coleman of Grand Terrace, CA, and Timothy Leger and wife Joyce of DeRidder, LA; daughters, Evelyn Conerly, Linda Simon and husband Franklin, and Eloyce Johnson and husband Levi all of DeRidder, LA; brother, Herman Jackson of Pensacola, FL; sisters, Beatrice Acker, and Evelyn Tanton and husband Willie all of DeRidder, LA; 9 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Bobby Lee Hargrove and Louis Wilford Leger; parents, Steve and Viola Cole; sons, Louis Wilford Leger, Jr. and Jeffery Leger; brothers, Bill Jackson and Willie Donnette. Visitation and Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, August 1, 2013 at Starlight Missionary Baptist Church in DeRidder, LA. Visitation will be from 9:00am until 11:00am, with Funeral Services beginning at 11:00am. Burial will follow at Starlight cemetery. Rev. Daniel Stafford will officiate.

Alice Faye Groves, 62, of DeRidder, LA passed from this life on Tuesday, July 23, 2013 in Pineville, LA. Mrs. Groves served in the United States Army for 10 years, then worked as a travel clerk for Managed Care at Bayne Jones Hospital at Fort Polk, LA. She had 30 ½ years of government service.
Those left to cherish her memory are her husband, Danny Groves; sons, Danny Groves and wife Susan, and Eric Groves; and daughter, Mary Groves, all of DeRidder, LA; mother, Dorothy Gipson of DeRidder, LA; brothers, Gary Ford and wife Terri of Leesville, LA and Clifford Ford and wife Doris of DeRidder, LA; sisters, Mable Hickman, Sharon Ford and Margenette Ford, all of DeRidder, LA; 4 grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, Isaac Paul Gipson, Sr. and brother, Isaac Paul Gipson, Jr.
Visitation will be held on Friday, August 2, 2013 from 6:00pm until 9:00pm at Norris Memorial COGIC in DeRidder, LA. Funeral services will be on Saturday, August 3, 2013 at 10:00am also at Norris Memorial COGIC. Burial will follow at Pine Grove cemetery in Leesville, LA. Elder Murray Piper will officiate.

MaryAlice Wilde, 89, of Merryville, LA, went home to be with Lord on Monday, July 22, 2013. Those left to cherish her memory are her sons, Randy Wilde of Merryville, LA and Ronald Wilde of Denver, CO; grandchildren, JoAnne and Joshua Wilde and Naomi, Daniel and Hanna Wilde; great grandchildren, Tyler, Brittney, and Faith Lockridge and McKenzie and Ruby Micah. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert L. Wilde, Sr. and son, Robert L. Wilde, Jr.
A graveside service was held on Tuesday, July 22, 2013 at Merryville cemetery. Bro. Jerry Day officiated.

Margarite Bedford Thomas, 81, of DeRidder, passed from this life on Tuesday, July 9, 2013. Ms. Thomas retired from Beauregard Memorial Hospital after over 20 years of service. She was a member of St. Mary COGIC where she enjoyed singing in the choir and she also attended Grace Church. She was a stern, in-charge, classy lady.
Those left to cherish her memory are her sons, Harvey Bedford and wife Jenifer of Missouri City, TX, and Carlton Bradford of DeRidder; daughters, Geraldine Horne and husband Joseph of Oakdale, LA, Aline Bedford of DeRidder, Martha Terrell of DeRidder, Cynthia Gonzales of Seattle, WA and Margaretta Mayes and husband Tim of DeRidder; sisters, Laura Mae Woodley of Many, LA and Haneefah (Velma) Yamini of DeRidder; a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. The Homegoing service for Elder Lawrence W. Ford, Jr. 83, of Leesville, LA will be held at Johnson Temple COGIC, 200 Nona Street, Leesville, LA with Overseer Harold Wright officiating. The Viewing will be from 6:00pm until 8:00pm on Friday, July 12, 2013. The Homegoing Service will be at 11:00 am on Saturday, July 13, 2013 at the same location. Burial will follow at Hawthorne cemetery in Leesville, LA. Services are under the direction of Myers-Colonial Funeral Home of DeRidder, LA.
Elder Ford pastored Power House COGIC in Knights, LA for over 47 years. He had a love for people and a desire to see them live a holy and successful life. He was also a school bus driver for the Vernon Parish School Board and retired in 1997 after 20 years of service.
Elder Ford is survived by his wife, Cetta Ford of Leesville, LA; sons, Lawrence Ford III and wife Noetta of Ft. Washington, MD, Floyd Ford of Leesville, La, Dennis Ford of San Antonio, TX, Lewis Ford and wife Teresa of Waldorf, MD and John Ford and wife Wanda of Waldorf, MD; daughters, Esther Bailey and husband Roland and Shelia Ford all of Leesville, LA; brothers, James Ford and wife Ella of Lynnwood, CA and Manuel Ford of Leesville, LA; grandchildren, LaDell, Christy, Franchekia, Jenei, Anthony, Briana, Shelby, Monique, Dadriana, John, Joseph and Tabitha; great-grandchildren, Ethan, Braylon, Jana and Anaira; and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.

Funeral services for C. J. Gibson, 61 of Starks, LA will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, July 10, 2013 at First Pentecostal Church Starks in Starks, LA.
The Rev. Greg Fraizer will officiate. Burial will be in Fountain cemetery in Starks, LA. All under the direction of Myers-Colonial Funeral Home in DeRidder, LA.
Mr. Gibson passed from this life on July 4, 2013 at his residence, surrounded by his family and friends.
He was a native of Starks, LA and a member of the First Pentecostal Church of Starks in Starks, LA.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, cooking at deer camp for his boys and playing music. He loved giving the “love of his life” a hard time. He loved spending time with his kids and grandkids.
