Wilma Jean Miller, 75, of Newton, Texas passed from this life on Monday, August 20, 2012 in DeRidder, Louisiana.Wilma stood by her husband as a preacher’s wife for 41 years. She loved her family with all her heart and soul.
Those left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Anita Mitchell and husband Dale of DeRidder, LA; sister, Mary Jo Caples and husband Buford of Newton, TX brother-in-law, J.D. Miller Jr. and wife Dorothy of Jasper, TX; sisters-in-law, Joyce Gilley of Newton, TX, Zera Miller of Newton, TX and Dorothy Kilgore and husband Robert of Livingston, TX; grandchildren, Amanda O’Brien and husband Aaron of York, PA, Robert Mitchell and wife Kayla of Pineville, LA and Jonathan Mitchell of Lake Charles, LA; great-grandchildren, Rylea O’Brien, Katherine O’Brien and Elizabeth Mitchell and a host of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bro. Gordon Miller; parents, Doctor and Vadie Gilley and brother, Gordon Gilley.
Visitation will be held on Friday, August 24, 2012 at Myers-Colonial Funeral Home in DeRidder, LA from 5:00pm to 9:00pm. Funeral service will be Saturday, August 25, 2012 at 12:00 noon at Myers-Colonial Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Ford cemetery in Bon Weir, TX. Bro. Jay Alexander and Bro. Hubert Franks will officiate.

Pamela Simmons, 50, passed from this life on Sunday, August 12, 2012 in DeRidder, Louisiana. Those left to cherish her memory her sons, Sean Simmons and Corey Simmons and daughter, Ashlee Simmons, all of DeRidder, Louisiana; brother, Michael Glasscock of Waterproof, Louisiana; cousin, Karen Barmore of DeRidder, Louisiana and two grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Simmons and parents, Floyd and Mary Glasscock.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, August 17, 2012 at 6:00 pm at Myers-Colonial Funeral Home in DeRidder, Louisiana. A graveside service will be held on Sunday, August 19, 2012 at 2:00 pm at Pleasant Hill cemetery in DeRidder, Louisiana. Rev. George Lee Glass Jr. will officiate.
Edward Warden

Edward Warden, 73, passed from this life on Sunday, August 12, 2012 in DeRidder, Louisiana. Mr. Warden retired from the Louisiana Dept. of Transportation after 31 years. He then worked for Beauregard ARC for 3 years. Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Marilyn, of DeRidder, Louisiana; sons, Dean Warden of Slidell, Louisiana and Tommy Warden and wife Heather of DeRidder, Louisiana; sister, Verla Warden of DeRidder, Louisiana; grandchildren, Shantana Gann, Skyla Warden, Anakin Warden and Rija Warden. He was preceded in death by his parents, Edd and Verla Warden and sister, Velma Daily.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, August 14, 2012 from 5:00pm-9:00pm at Myers-Colonial Funeral Home in DeRidder, Louisiana. Funeral service will be Wednesday, August 15, 2012 at 10:00 am also at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Newlin cemetery in Singer, Louisiana. Rev. Tommy Magee and Rev. Milbre Amanda Myers LeDoux, 92, passed from this life on Friday, August 3, 2012
at her home in DeRidder, Louisiana. Those left to cherish her memory are her son, Frank LeDoux and wife Mary and daughter, Milbre Etta Redler and husband Bryan all of DeRidder, Louisiana; grandchildren, Bryan Mark Redler and wife Rebecca, Alyson Melissa Dooley and husband Andy; and Dana Michelle LeDoux-Cortez and husband Marc; great-grandchildren, Sydney Milbre Meissner, Zachary Jude Meissner, Olivia Gail Dooley, Bryan Eric Redler and Lauren Lacoste Redler. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Hugh LeDoux; son, Fremont LeDoux; parents, George and Alice Myers; brothers, Henry F. Myers, Gene V. Myers and Bryan Myers; sisters, Ethel Hennigan and Bernice Stephens.
Milbre Myers LeDoux was a member of one of Beauregard Parish’s pioneer families. She lived her whole life in the home where she was born and passed away in the same home. She was a loving daughter, wife, mother, grandmother.
A prayer service will be held at Myers-Colonial Funeral Home in DeRidder, Louisiana on Saturday, August 4, 2012 at 6:00pm, with visitation following until 9:00pm. A private service will be conducted at a later date.

William Virgis Colton, 43, of DeRidder, Louisiana, passed from this life on Monday, July 30, 2012 at his home. Visitation will be on Monday, August 6, 2012 from 12:30 to 1:00pm at New Hope Holiness Church in DeRidder, Louisiana. Funeral service will be Monday, August 6, 2012 at 1:00pm at New Hope Holiness Church. Pastor Michael Harris will officiate. Burial will follow at Beauregard cemetery in DeRidder.

George E. Steward (Uncle George/Moody), 76, passed from this life on Monday, July 30, 2012 in DeRidder, Louisiana. George was a native of Corsicana, Texas and a lifetime resident of DeRidder, Louisiana. He retired from Boise Cascade after over 30 years of service. He was a member of numerous community and civic organizations, and a member of the Starlight Missionary Baptist Church-Rev. Daniel Stafford pastor. Those left to cherish his memory are his mother, Della Steward of Corsicana, Texas: daughter, Tempest Acker of Marietta, Georgia: sister, Christine Crawford of Corsicana, Texas: grandchildren, Machema McGregor of Dallas, Texas: Willie George Steward II of Atlanta, Georgia, Tatyana and Taliya Acker of Marietta, Georgia; great grandchildren, and a host of favorite nieces, nephews, family, special friends, in-laws and god children. He is preceded in death by his wife, Ann J. Steward, father, George D. Steward, brother, Willie Howard Steward, and son, Willie George Steward.
Visitation will be held from 7:00 – 8:30 p.m. on Friday, August 03, 2012 and from 10:00 a.m. until time of service at Starlight Missionary Baptist Church in DeRidder, La. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, August 4, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at Starlight Missionary Baptist Church. Rev. Daniel Stafford will officiate. George Wesley Townsley

George Wesley Townsley, 84, of DeRidder, Louisiana passed from this life on Saturday, July 28, 2012 in Lake Charles, Louisiana. Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 60 years, Doris LaVerne Townsley; one daughter, Karen “Tiddly” Townsley and her husband, Glen Dyer; sons, Damon Townsley and his wife Debby of Prairieville, Louisiana; George (Kevin) Townsley and his wife Jody of Hensley, Arkansas; Barry Townsley and his wife Wendy of DeRidder, Louisiana; ten grandchildren: Jena, Jaclyn and Dillon Townsley, Brandon Broussard, Crystal Parce Harper, Andrea Dyer Wilson, George Kevin Townsley II and Geoffrey Kincaid Townsley and Corey and Celeste Townsley. He also had 11 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Wesley Eugene Townsley and Victoria Loftin Townsley; brothers, Victor, Soloman “Sol”, Fate, Mitch and Pat Townsley and sister, Melba Branch.
George graduated from DeRidder High School in 1946. He served in WWII, and the Korean Conflict. He graduated from LSU in 1951. He was a state dairy inspector, an Asst. Supervisor for the Farm program at LCIS in DeQuincy, a former school teacher at East Beauregard and he retired as a dairy farmer of 27 years. He was a member of the VFW and American Legion for 40 years.
Visitation will be held on Monday, July 30, 2012 at Myers-Colonial Funeral Home in DeRidder, La from 5:00pm-9:00pm and on Tuesday, July 31, 2012 beginning at 10:00am until time of service. Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, July 31, 2012 at 2:00pm at Myers-Colonial Funeral Home in DeRidder, La. Rev. Wayne Kite and Rev. Corey Townsley will officiate. Burial will follow at Whitaker cemetery in DeRidder, La. In lieu of flowers please send donations to the Alzheimer’s Foundation.

Funeral services for Ester Mae Jones, 85, of DeRidder, Louisiana will be held on Saturday, July 28, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at Star of Bethlehem Baptist Church in DeRidder, Louisiana, with Rev. Keith W. Stevenson officiating. Visitation will begin at 9:00 a.m. Saturday, July 28, 2012 until the time of service. Sis. Ester Mae was an avid gardener and she loved to cook. She was a nature lover and loved to collect the beauty of butterflies. She will truly be missed. Funeral services will be conducted under the direction of Myers-Colonial Funeral Home in DeRidder.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Harry Jones of Angleton, TX; two daughters, Glory Hickman of Houston, TX and Mary Washington of DeRidder, LA; one son, Devon Thomas of DeRidder, LA. She leaves behind to cherish her legacy, three sons, Charlie Hickman Jr., James Edward Hickman and Alan (Alice) Hickman all of DeRidder, LA; one daughter, Alphretta M. Johnson of Kirbyville, TX; three sisters, Cleotha Porter of Houston, TX, Hazel (Richard) North of Dallas, TX and Delores (Isaac) Thomas of DeRidder, LA; three brothers, David Husband Sr., Charles Husband of DeRidder, LA and James (Alice) Husband of DeQuincy, LA; 11 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great grandchild and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Rosie Lee “Bobbie” Tinsley, 67, of DeQuincy, Louisiana, passed from this life on Wednesday, July 18, 2012 in Lake Charles, Louisiana.
Those left to cherish her memory are her husband, Denver Roy Tinsley; daughters, Sandy Wilkerson and husband Bubba and Carolyn Clark and husband Brad; brother, Clayton Doyle and wife Ruby all of DeQuincy, Louisiana. She is survived by her grandchildren, James Wilkerson III and wife Emily of Shreveport, Louisiana; Arlene Wilkerson of Lake Charles, Louisiana and Christopher Clark of DeQuincy, Louisiana; great-grandchildren, James Wilkerson IV and Catherine Wilkerson.She was preceded in death by her parents, Rosie and Acie Doyle and sister, Louise Daigle.

Lloyd Lamar (Buddy) Wildblood

Lloyd Lamar (Buddy) Wildblood, 80, passed from this life on Friday, July 13, 2012 at his home in DeRidder, Louisiana. Lloyd was a four year letterman at Merryville High School in football, basketball and track. He earned a two year scholarship for football at McNeese State University. He was a fabrication shop foreman at PPG Industries in Lake Charles for 20 years and was a welder for Boise Cascade in DeRidder for 20 years.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 60 years, Jeanienne Stark Wildblood; son, Lloyd L. Wildblood II and wife Patrice of DeRidder, Louisiana; daughters, Debbie Wildblood Kelley and husband Jimmy of DeRidder, Louisiana and Pam Wildblood Fontenot and husband Bob of Moss Bluff, Louisiana; 10 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by 2 brothers and 2 sisters.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, July 15, 2012 at Myers-Colonial Funeral Home in DeRidder, Louisiana from 1:00pm till 9:00pm and on Monday, July 16, 2012, beginning at 10:00am until time of service. Funeral service will be on Monday, July 16, 2012 at 2:00pm at Myers-Colonial Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Quicksand cemetery in Buckhorn, TX (Newton County). Bro. Johnny Johnson and Bro. Wayne Kite will officiate. Pallbearers will be his 6 grandsons.
