Those left to cherish her memory are her son, Carl Marcantel and wife Tish of Kinder; daughter, Sandra Marcantel of Kinder; sisters, Betty Galloway and husband Vern, Jessie Jones, and Polly Longoria all of Merryville, LA; grandchildren, Scotty Pelican, John Pelican, Kaylee Marcantel, Sage Marcantel and Ethan Marcantel; great grandchildren, Madison, John Luke, Avery, Carson, and Tristan. She was preceded in death by her husband, Alvin Moreau; parents, Leon and Dorothy Frusha; brother, John Leon Frusha, and Jimmy Frusha; sisters, Jean Myers, and Edna Frusha; and brother-in-law, Andrew “Pete” Longoria.

Visitation will be Thursday, October 29, 2015 from 5:00pm until 9:00pm at Myers-Colonial Funeral Home in DeRidder. Funeral service will be held Friday, October 30, 2015 at 2:00pm at Myers-Colonial Funeral Home . Burial will follow at Hennigan cemetery in Merryville.

Roy Thompson
October 26, 1927 - October 20, 2015
Roy Earl Thompson, 87, of Merryville, LA, passed from this life on Tuesday, October 20, 2015 in DeRidder, LA. Roy was a retired operator from Engineers Local 406, and served in the Army in WWII in the Pacific Campaign and during the Korean Conflict.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Allie Vee Thompson of Merryville, LA; daughter, Darlene Perkins and husband Billy of Merryville, LA; sons, Robert Thompson and wife Mary of Merryville, LA, James Lynn Thompson and wife Carla of DeRidder, LA, Harvey Earl Thompson and wife Claudia of Roganville, TX,; and (raised) grandson, Robbie Thompson and wife Sherry of Livingston, TX; brother, Floyd Thompson of San Antonio, TX; and a host of grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jim and Pearl Thompson; brothers, O.C., Otis and Troy Thompson; and sister, Loretta Adams.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, October 21, 2015 from 5:00pm until 9:00pm at Myers-Colonial Funeral Home in DeRidder, LA. Funeral service is Thursday, October 22, 2015 at 2:00pm at Myers-Colonial Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Merryville cemetery in Merryville, LA. Bro. Lyndon Longoria will officiate.

Eloise Perry
July 12, 1932 - October 20, 2015
Eloise Perry, 83, of Merryville, LA, passed away on Tuesday, October 20, 2015 at DeQuincy Memorial Hospital in DeQuincy, LA. Eloise was born on July 12, 1932 the daughter of Willie and Lannie Cooley. She married Eugene Perry on October 21, 1950 and he preceded her in death on June 23, 1997. Eloise worked at Merryville Hospital, Merryville Rehab and Tri-Parish Rehabilitation Center, as Food Service Manager for nearly 40 years.

She is survived by her three children: daughters, Peggy Penn (Gary) of Lampasas, TX, and Cathy Jones of Bon Wier, TX; son, Kenneth Perry of Merryville, LA; grandsons, Chad Lott of Merryville, LA, Jason Penn of Lowville, NY, and Brandon Perry of Merryville, LA; granddaughters, Christi Keener of Lampasas, TX, Kiley Beard of Merryville, LA, and Grayce Perry of Merryville, LA; 8 great grandchildren, Landon Matthews, Haydn Beard, Brant Beard, Abigail Cornes, Tanner Keener, Kaitlyn Keener, Joshua Penn, and Anthony Smith; brothers, Jerry Cooley (Shirley) of Merryville, LA, John Cooley (Liz) of Kirbyville, TX, and Richard Cooley (Bonnie) of Merryville, LA; brother-in-law, Raymond Eaves of Merryville, LA; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and sister, Alice Faye Eaves.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 22, 2015 from 5:00pm until 10:00pm and Friday, October 23, 2015 from 11:00am until 1:00pm at Myers-Colonial Funeral Home in DeRidder, LA. Funeral services will be held Friday, October 23, 2015 at 1:00pm at Myers-Colonial Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Meadows cemetery in Merryville, LA.In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the American Cancer Society in Eloise’s name.

Daniel Ravencraft
June 29, 1950 - October 19, 2015
Daniel Reese Ravencraft, 65, of Vinton, LA, passed from this life October 19, 2015 in Lake Charles, LA.

Those left to cherish his memory are his mother, Ann Ravencraft of Orange, TX; sons, Daniel Ravencraft of Gillis, LA, James Ravencraft and wife Daphne of Sulphur, LA, and Michael Ravencraft and wife Evelyn of Grand Lake, LA; brother, Stanley Ravencraft and wife Sue of Orange, TX; and 8 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father, James Ravencraft.
Visitation and Funeral service will be held Monday, October 26, 2015 at Shiloh Pentecostal Church in DeQuincy, LA. Visitation will begin at 12:00 noon until time of service at 2:00pm. Burial will follow at Rigmaiden cemetery in DeQuincy. Rev. E.R. Hoosier will officiate.

February 6, 1955 - October 18, 2015
Lawrence L. Jackson Jr., 60, of Dallas, TX, passed from this life on Sunday, October 18, 2015.

Those left to cherish his memory are his mother, Ethel Mae Jackson of DeRidder, LA; brothers, Joseph Jackson and wife Carolyn of DeRidder, LA, Ronnie Jackson of DeRidder, LA, Alfred Jackson of Washington D.C., and Derwin Jackson and wife Donna of Tupelo, MS; sisters, Marie Irizarry of Temple Hills, MD, Paricia Bettis and husband Paul of Lake Charles, LA, Brenda Hall and husband Curtis of Hinesville, GA, Victoria Dees and husband Timothy of Mobile, AL, and Felicia Sumpter and husband Estrada of Ft. Drum, NY.
He was preceded in death by his father, Lawrence Jackson, Sr., sister, Debra Jackson; and brother, John Jackson.

Visitation and Funeral service will be held Saturday, October 24, 2015 at Mt. Zion Baptist Church in DeRidder. Visitation will begin at 9:00am until time of service at 11:00am. Burial will follow at Beauregard cemetery in DeRidder. Rev. Reginald Jordan will officiate.

Betty Statum
September 5, 1947 - October 17, 2015

Betty Ruth Statum. 68, of Starks, LA, passed from this life on Saturday, October 17, 2015.

Those left to cherish her memory are her husband, Jerry Williams of Houston, TX; sons, Ben Statum III and Bobby Joe Statum, both of Starks; brother, Edward G. Johnson and wife Chris of Starks; sisters, Ruby Nell Martinez and husband Raymond of Starks; Janice Funk and husband Roy of Vinton, and Patricia Peveto and husband Allen of Deweyville, TX; grandchildren, Alex Cole Statum, Nathan Andrew Statum, Ben Statum IV, and Steven Taylor Statum; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, William Edward and Vera Hyatt Johnson; and sister, Wanda Mae Wilson.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, October 20, 2015 from 5:00pm until 10:00pm at Calvary Apostolic Church in Starks, LA. Funeral service will be Wednesday, October 21, 2015 at 11:00am at Calvary Apostilic Church. Burial will follow at VFW cemetery in Starks. Bro. Keith Smith will officiate.

Sheila Tucker
September 19, 1954 - October 16, 2015
Sheila Carrie Tucker, 61, of Merryville, LA, passed from this life on Friday, October 16, 2015 at her home. Those left to cherish her memory are her son, Ryan Tucker of Merryville; daughter, Nicole Jeans and fiancee' Michael Burleson of DeRidder, and D'Anna Erwin and husband Jeremy of Merryville; brothers, Danny Bullitt, and Kenny Bullitt and wife Allison all of Merryville; sisters, Linda Terrell and husband Tom of Merryville, and Fannie Ruston and husband Jeff of Greenbriar, AR; grandchildren, Jordan Jeans and Madison Jeans; 12 nieces and nephews; and a host of great nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father, Odell Bullitt; brothers Donny Wayne Bullitt, and Ronnie Bullitt; sister-in-law, Linda Joyce Bullitt.

Visitation and Funeral service will be held Saturday, October 17, 2015 at Merryville Church of Christ. Visitation will begin at 4:00pm until time of service at 6:00pm. Bro. Joey Franks will officiate.

Jeffery Anderson

Those left to cherish his memory are his mother, Vicky Bass of Rosepine, LA; father, William Anderson of Moss Bluff, LA; grandmother, Margie Bass; and grandparents, Charles and Wanda Anderson all of Moss Bluff; uncle, Tim Bass and wife Doris of The Woodlands, TX; aunts, Abby Masterson and Sandra Jones and husband Kevin all of Moss Bluff, LA; cousins, Chris Masterson, Melody Benavides, Logan Jones, and Dylan Jones. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, George Bass Jr.

Visitation and Funeral service will be held Sunday, October 18, 2015 at Myers-Colonial Funeral Home in DeRidder, LA. Visitation will be from 3:00pm until 4:00pm with service beginning at 4:00pm.

Robert Knight Sr.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 37 years, Ann Knight; son, Robert Knight Jr.; daughter, Donna Hudson and husband Charles all of DeRidder; sister, Carolyn Gilbert of DeQuincy, LA; grandchildren, Justin Walker and wife JoAnne and Jared Walker and fiancee’ Tamara all of DeRidder; great grandchildren, Laney, Deuce, and Jana. He was preceded in death by his parents, Carrol and Catherine Knight.

Visitation will be held Saturday, October 17, 2015 from 5:00pm until 9:00pm at Myers-Colonial Funeral Home in DeRidder. Funeral service will be Sunday, October 18, 2015 at 3:00pm at Grace Church in DeRidder. Rev. George Lee Glass will officiate. Burial will follow at Old Cypress cemetery in DeRidder.

David May
August 28, 1959 - October 14, 2015
David May, 56, of Starks, LA, passed from this life on Wednesday, October 14, 2015 at his home. Those left to cherish his memory are his brothers, Melvin Roy May and wife Diane of Peel, AR, and Willard May of Starks, LA; half brother, Claudell May of Atlanta, TX; half sisters, Virginia Hutchinson and Marie Lovejoy, both of Blanchard, LA. He was preceded in death by his parents, Melvin and Mattie May; brother, Charles Eugene May; half brother, Harold May; half sisters, Shirley McFarland, Hazel O’Quain, and Elsie Crawson.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Nancy Franklin; son, Henry Eugene Mann; and ex-husband, Earnest Ray Stephens.
