Otis Lester Harris, 72, of DeRidder, LA passed from this life on Thursday, January 18, 2018.
Otis Lester (Bill) Harris was born on July 22, 1945 to the late Frank and Rurhie Mae Harris. departed this life on Thursday, January 18, 2018 at the blessed age of 72. He joined Mt. Nebo Missionary Baptist Church at an early age and later on joined Norris Memorial C.O.G.I.C. Mr. Harris retired from the United States Army, having served two tours in Vietnam. He loved to fish, fish and more fishing. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and was loved by all that knew him.
Those left to cherish his memory are his sons, Derron Griffin and Toni of DeRidder, LA, Devin Harris of Houston, TX, Curtis Harris of Austin, TX, and Otis Harris, Jr. of DeRidder, LA; daughters, Demetrial Washington and Tina of DeRidder, LA and Cynthia Harris of Atlanta, GA; brothers, Lonnie Harris of Cleveland, OH, Nathanial Harvey, Cleveland, OH, Tom Lee Harris of Lake Placid, FL and Riley Harris of Mt. Morris, MI; sisters, Mattie Ree Jones of Tuskegee, AL, Allarea Beverly of San Antonio, TX, Helen Harris of Bradenton FL, Sheree Wilson of Salem, AL; aunt, Marie France , of Oshkosh, WS. He also had eighteen grandchildren; seven great grandchildren and a host of other family and friends.
Preceding him in death are his loving wife, Sandra Lynette Harris; brothers, Clarence Harris, Willie James, Jab Harris, Johnny Harris, Roscoe Harvey; sister, Perline Davis & Salliey Buchanan Harris; parents; Frank & Ruthie Harris.
Visitation and Funeral service will be held Saturday, January 27, 2018 at Norris Memorial C.O.G.I.C. in DeRidder, LA, with visitation being from 9:00 – 11:00 AM until the time of service at 11:00 AM. Burial will follow at Beauregard cemetery in DeRidder, LA.
Huey P. Roberson, Sr.
Huey P. Roberson, Sr., transitioned from life on April 26, 2018 at Beauregard Memorial Hospital after a short illness. He was born in Grant Parish, reared in Natchitoches Parish and spent the majority of his life in DeRidder, La. Roaming the streets of DeRidder and Leesville, he was notoriously known as the Cement Finishing Man.
Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 68 years, Mary G. Roberson of DeRidder; daughters: Elder Emma Wilson, First Lady Augustine Ross of DeRidder, LA and Eula Dominick of Covington, GA; sons, Minister Huey P. (Lily) Roberson, Jr., Overseer William T. (Eleanor) Roberson, Sr., Deacon Lonnie (Claudette) Roberson, Sr., all of DeRidder, LA and Deacon Joseph L. (Dianne) Roberson, Sr., of Augusta, GA; brothers, Reverend Peter (Audrey) Roberson of Natchitoches, LA and Charles (Thelma) Roberson of Houston, TX; sisters, Elnora Helaire of Natchitoches, LA and Eula (Reverend Samuel) Bogan of Elsberry, MO; forty-four grandchildren; fifty-six great grandchildren; fourteen great -great grandchildren and a host of other family and friends.
Preceding him in death are his parents, Peter and Augustine Roberson; two sisters and four brothers.
Visitation and funeral service will be held on Friday, May 4, 2018. Visitation will begin at 9:00 AM until the time of the funeral service at 11:00 AM at St. Mary Church of God in Christ, in DeRidder, LA. Reverend Peter Roberson will officiate the service. Burial will follow at Beauregard cemetery in DeRidder, LA.

Brenda Janice White, 57, of DeRidder, LA, passed from this life on Friday, April 27, 2018.
Visitation will be held Sunday, April 29, 2018 from 5:00 - 9:00 PM at the Church of the Lord Jesus Christ in DeRidder, LA. Funeral service will be held on Monday, April 30, 2018, at 11:00 AM at the Church of the Lord Jesus Christ in DeRidder, LA.
Burial will follow at Whitaker cemetery in DeRidder, LA.
Maxine Snider
Maxine Snider, 88, of Bancroft, LA, passed from this life on April 27, 2018.
Those left to cherish her memory are her sons, Johnny E. Snyder, Jr., and Pearlie of DeQuincy, LA, Guy M. Snyder and Jenell and Louis W. Snyder all of Bancroft, LA; grandchildren, Daniel and Nannette, Kelly and Jason, Seth and April, T.R. and Ruth, Ben and Brandy, Valerie and Mike, Clint and Melissa and Martin; fifteen great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
Those preceding her in death are her husband, Johnny E. Snider, Sr.; parents, Mr. and Mrs. Chester Bingham; brothers, Sanford Bingham and A.D. Bingham; sister, Margaret Stokes and her Chihuahua, Lizard.
Visitation and funeral service will be held on Sunday, April 29, 2018. Visitation will begin at 10:00 AM until the time of the funeral service at 2:00 PM at First Apostolic Church in Merryville, LA. Brother Jerry Gilland, Brother Roy Hoosier and Brother Mike Russell will officiate the service. Pallbearers will be Daniel Snyder, Seth Snyder, Martin Snyder, Clint Snyder, Ben Snyder, T.R. Richmond and Jason Cooper. Burial will follow at Spikes cemetery in Bancroft, LA.
Patricia "Patti" Durham Mayo
Patricia “Patti” Durham Mayo, a 7 year resident of the Fernandina Beach area, was welcomed from her home into Heaven on April, 22, 2018. Patty was blessed to pass surrounded by her family in their home in Fernandina Beach, FL.
Born on December 9, 1963 in DeRidder, LA., Patti attended DeRidder schools and graduated from DeRidder High School in 1982. Patti was a loving wife, mother and faithful servant of the Lord as she was an active member of Mercy Hill Church. She was also an advocate for Breast Cancer Awareness, always reaching out to others who were fighting the same battle. Patti’s faith in God and her determination to fight for so many years touched multiple lives across many states. She often stated, “If Jesus could be crucified and die on the cross for me, cancer is nothing compared to the sacrifice He made for me.” Her stories of inspiration and courage inspired so many people that they were compiled in an e-book which celebrates her persistent faith and unique courage during some very trying times. Patti is known for her ease in frequent conversation, even with total strangers. Patti will be remembered for her infectious laughter, her love of life and a smile that could light up a room.
Patti’s transition into Heaven is preceded by her parents, R.E. “Buddy” Durham and Catherine Delia Durham; her brothers, Michael W. Durham and Robert “Bobby” Durham.
She is survived by her husband of 35 years, Brent Mayo of Fernandina Beach, FL; her sons, Justin Mayo and his wife Kimberly “Kimmie” of Smyrna, GA and Sgt. Joshua Mayo, USAF. In addition, she is survived by her brother, David L. Durham and his wife Charla; father and mother-in-law, Gene and Carolyn Mayo; sister and brother-in-law, Peggy and Shannon Jantz all of DeRidder, LA. She is also survived by many loving aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and a long list of other loving family members a and family friends.
Family will gather together to honor and celebrate Patti’s life:
On Tuesday, April 24, 2018 from 4:00 to 7:00 pm at Oxley-Heard Funeral Home in Fernandina Beach, Florida.
Her visitation will resume on Thursday, April 26, 2018 from 5:00 to 9:00 pm at Myers-Colonial Funeral Home in DeRidder, Louisiana with a Rosary Service starting at 7:00 pm.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, April 27, 2018 at 11:00 am at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in DeRidder, LA. Burial will follow at the Beauregard Memorial cemetery in DeRidder.

Shelia Janiece Dixson, 57, of Newport, TN, passed from this life on Monday, April 16, 2018.
Shelia loved to read, was awesome at arts and crafts and was a mother to all that needed a little mothering. She was a loving wife, mother, daughter, sister, and NaNa to her grandchildren. She will truly be missed and forever treasured in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.

Donnie Ray Irey, of DeRidder, LA, passed from this life on Wednesday, April 18, 2018.
Visitation will be held Friday, April 20, 2018, from 5:00 – 9:00 PM at Pine Hill Baptist Church in Leesville, LA. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, April 21, 2018, at 3:00 PM also at Pine Hill Baptist Church. Burial will follow at Pine Hill cemetery in Leesville, Louisiana.
Robert Edward Foshee
Robert Edward Foshee, 74, of Rosepine, LA, passed from this life on April 17, 2018.
Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 54 years, Louise Cooper Foshee; son, William Timothy Foshee and Sharon of Colfax, LA; daughter, Delean Freet and Rodney of Jacksonville, FL; sister, Sharon Chevalier and M.L. of Rosepine, LA; five grandchildren: Kristi Sweat, Justin Russell, Lindsay Foshee, William Foshee, Isabella Huntsberry; four great grandchildren: Nolon Sweat, Aiden Russell, Natalie Sweat, Braylen Russell; and a host of extended family, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Oscar and Faye Foshee; and brother, Lealon Ray Foshee.
Robert graduated from Rosepine High School in 1963. He was a franchise dealer for Snap-On-Tools for 35 years, and a salesman for LKQ, through which he touched many lives and spread the Word of God.
He was known as Coach, Snap-On-Tool Man, Brother Robert, Preacher and PawPaw. He loved sports of all kinds. He sponsored and coached men’s and women’s independent basketball teams for over 20 years and won several state championships.
He enjoyed working, gardening, attending church at Church of God of Prophecy, and spending time with his wife, children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Friday, April 20, 2018 from 4:00-8:00PM at Myers Colonial Funeral Home, in DeRidder, LA. Funeral service will be held Saturday, April 21, 2018 at 11:00 AM, also at Myers Colonial Funeral Home. Pastors Robert Barker, Don Stephens, and Jason O’Linde will officiate. Pallbearers will be Billy Foshee, Jim Hickman, Rodney Freet, Lee Foshee, Justin Russell, Will Foshee and Kendall Scoville. Honorary pallbearer is Nat Sweat. Burial will follow at Rosepine cemetery in Rosepine, LA.

Modest Lofton
Modest Lofton, 75, of DeRidder, LA, passed from this life on Sunday, April, 15, 2018.
Mrs. Lofton taught school in the Beauregard Parish School System for 34 years, helping shape the minds and lives of countless students. She served willingly and faithfully at Mt. Zion Baptist Church and in the community.
Those left to cherish her memory and legacy are her son, Samuel Lofton Jr. of Lafayette, LA; daughter, Mary Lofton of Lake Charles, LA; sisters, Jeanette Johnson of Panama City, FL, Dian Miller of DeRidder, LA and Betty Keller of Killeen, TX; two grandchildren; three great grandchildren; and a host of family and friends.
Visitation will be held on Friday, April 20, 2018 from 5:00 – 8:00 PM at Mount Zion Baptist Church in DeRidder, LA. Visitation will continue and service will be held on on Saturday, April 21, 2018, also at Mount Zion Baptist Church, beginning at 9:00 AM until the time of service at 11:00 AM. Reverend Ronald Jordan will officiate the service. Pallbearers will be Raymond Ford, Sam Ford, Jared Miller, Leonard Smith, Jr. and Antonio Ford. Honorary pallbearers are the Deacons and Youth department of Mount Zion Baptist Church. Burial will follow at Beauregard cemetery in DeRidder, LA.
