Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Carolyn Hinson of Rosepine, LA; sons, Timothy Prentice Hinson of Dayton, TX and Tommy Landry and Cathy of DeRidder, LA; daughters, Sharon Kincannon and James of Baytown, TX, Angela Gray and Brian of Dayton, TX, Denise Roberts and Earl of Crosby, TX, Amanda Moffett and Ronnie of Dayton TX, Marie Garst and Kenny of Dry Creek, LA, Kathie Terry and Steve of Palm Bay, Florida and Laura Steele and Quinton of Lake Charles, LA ; sister, Ray Ella Self and G.C. of DeRidder, LA; and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nephews and nieces.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Grover and Lara Hinson; daughter, Selina Marie Elliott; one brother and five sisters.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, April 30, 2017 from 5:00-9:00 PM at Rosepine United Pentecostal Church in Rosepine, LA. Funeral services will be held Monday, May 1, 2017 at 11:00 AM at Rosepine United Pentecostal Church. Burial will follow in Hinson cemetery at Rosepine.

Ruby Pearl Head, 94, of Merryville, LA, passed from this life on Wednesday, April 26, 2017.
Those left to cherish her memory are her son, Richard Head, Jr. & wife Joette of Merryville, LA; daughters, Linda Snipes & Gaylon of Weatherford, TX and Sarah Feldes of Merryville, LA; grandchildren, Renee Milner & Stewart, Adam Snipes & Renata, Amy Taylor, Erin Ferguson & Daniel, D’Anna Erwin & Jeremy and Alexis Feldes; nine great grandchildren; niece, Eloise Carmen of Brenham, TX; three great nieces and two great nephews; and many friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband Richard Head, Sr.; her brother, J. P. Lamberth; her sisters, May Harvey and Irene Carsey; her parents, Preston & Effie Lamberth.
Visitation was held on Friday, April 28, 2017 from 5:00-9:00 pm at First United Methodist Church in Merryville, LA. Funeral services were held Saturday, April 29, 2017 at 11:00 am at First United Methodist Church in Merryville, LA. Officiating the service was Pastor Sharon Stewart. Pallbearers were Daniel Ferguson, Jeremy Erwin, Stewart Milner, Richard Taylor, Adam Snipes and Gaylon Snipes. Honorary pallbearers were Alex Taylor & Brody Ferguson. Burial followed at Merryville cemetery in Merryville, Louisiana.
She will truly be missed by all.

James Andrew Goins, 70, of Knight Community, LA, passed from this life on April 26, 2017.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife Wanda Goins; sons, Richard Knight & wife Billie and James Earl Knight, all of Knight Community; daughters, Crystal Fontenot & husband Joshua and Susan Matthews, also all of Knight Community ; brother, Buddy Goins & wife Shirley of Shreveport, LA; grandchildren, Laura Knight, Monica McCarty & husband Jason, Gabby Mills & husband Colt, Rick Wyatt & wife Erika, Galloway Knight & wife Lauren and Ryan Fontenot and eleven great grandchildren; and a host of family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Andy Goins and Joseph & Joyce Dean; his grandson, Jacob Knight.
Visitation will be held Friday, April 28, 2017 from 10:00 am until…. at Mount Carmel Baptist Church in Knight Community, LA. Visitation will continue on Saturday, April 29, 2017 from 9:00 am until 2:00 pm with the funeral service starting at 2:00 pm. Officiating the service will be Brother Hurshel Davis & George Swain. Burial will follow at Hinson cemetery in Knight Community, LA.

Cindy Arlene Sturgeon, 70, of DeRidder, LA, passed from this life on April 26, 2017.
Those left to cherish her memory are her sons, James Sturgeon and wife Pam of DeRidder, LA, Paul Sturgeon and wife Amber of San Antonio, TX; daughter, Mary Phillips and husband Michael of DeRidder, LA; brothers, Ronnie Williams of Rosepine, LA, Duane Williams and wife Diane of DeRidder, LA, Darrell Williams and wife Medda of Oklahoma City, OK; grandchildren, Jeremy Parker, Nicole Taylor, Lacey Thibodeaux, River Sturgeon, Benjamin Phillips, Aislinn Sturgeon and Keira Sturgeon; three great grandchildren and a host of friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Louis & Lois Williams; brother, Ralph Williams and sister, Nadine Fletcher.
Ms. Cindy loved playing BINGO and tending to plants and flowers. Her greatest love, however, was her kids and her grandkids; they were her life. In her latter years, she enjoyed her circle of friends at Westwood Manor and her time spent there was joyful. Ms. Cindy was a life to be treasured and will forever be remembered in our hearts.
Visitation will be held on Friday, April 28, 2017 from 5:00-9:00PM at Myers Colonial Funeral Home, in DeRidder, LA. Funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM also at Myers Colonial Funeral Home on Saturday, April 29, 2017. Elder Jeff Mosley will officiate. Burial will follow at Rosepine cemetery in Rosepine, LA.

Funeral services for Lenora Bourgeois Hitchens, 84 will be held at St. Joseph Catholic Church on Blankenship Drive in DeRidder, LA on May 3, 2017. The one day service will include visitation from 8:00 am – 10:00 am, Rosary Service beginning at 10:00 am and the funeral mass to begin at 11:00 am, to be officiated by Rev. Jude Brunnert, M.S. Burial will follow at Beauregard cemetery in DeRidder, LA.
Lenora passed away peacefully at Cornerstone Hospital in Sulphur, LA on April 25, 2017.
She was totally devoted to her Catholic Faith. She gave her service to the choir, was chairperson of the Rosary Makers and was on several committees as a Catholic Daughter. Lenora help to support foreign missions, nursing home ministries, taught others how to make rosaries and provided them to 1st communion class, confirmation classes and others. Her love for the Holy Family and the Church was unwavering.
She leaves to mourn her beloved and devoted husband of 65 years, Charley L. Hitchens, Jr.; sons, Charley Hitchens III, Michael Hitchens & wife Dorothy and Sheldon Hitchens & wife Sharon, all of DeRidder, LA; daughters, Carolyn Staten of Fort Worth, TX, Marvis Collor & husband Kelvin of DeRidder, LA; brother Earl Bourgeois and wife Elaine; sisters, Marion St. Amant, Lois Aikens & husband Russell, Sr. all of Baton Rouge, LA; extended family Frank & Fran Mayes and Voney and Mary Miller all of DeRidder, LA; and a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, family members and friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Theodore and Alcedie Bourgeois and son Stephan Hitchens.

Those left to cherish her memory are her son, Kenneth Lambright & Debbie of Deweyville, TX; daughters, Meshell Gallier & Eric of Orange, TX and Diana Salters & Brian also of Orange, TX; brother, Tommy Casey & Bonnie of Vidor, TX; sisters, Sally Eaves & Wilbur of Vidor, TX and Patsy Johnson of Neosho, MO; daughter in law, Wanda Lambright of Deweyville, TX; ten grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Stoney Lee Lambright; son, Roy Alvin Lambright; mother, Margarette Ethel McBride Casey; father, Roy Alvin Casey and great grandchildren, Kinslee & Kamber Weber.
Funeral service was held Tuesday, April 25, 2017 at 2:00 pm at Deweyville United Pentecostal Church in Deweyville, TX. Burial followed at Deweyville Community cemetery in Deweyville, TX.
Shirley A. Boggs
Funeral services for Shirley A. Boggs will be held Friday April 28, 2017 @ 11:00 a.m at the Myers Colonial Funeral Home Chapel. Burial to follow at the Rosepine cemetery with Bro. Marty Romero officiating. Visitation will be from 5:00 -8:00 p.m Thursday April 27, 2017 and Friday April 28, 2017 from 9: a.m. until time of service at Myers Colonial Funeral Home. Ms. Boggs, 86 passed away peacefully, Saturday April 22, 2017 at her home.
Shirley was born and raised in Ruston Louisiana, but spent most of her adult life in DeRidder, LA. Shirley was a loving sister, mother, grandmother and great grandmother and a devote Christian who loved her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. She was employed at Beauregard Memorial Hospital as a surgery nurse for over 25 years.
She is survived by her son Alan (Bo) Barmore and wife Vicki of DeRidder, daughter Kim Butler and husband Terry also of DeRidder; daughter-in-law, Lucy Barmore of Nederland, Texas; sister Mable Rees and husband Dave of Mandeville, LA, sister-in-law Glenda Arrant of Ruston LA; grandchildren, Jared Barmore and wife Sandy, Jessica Blankenbaker and husband John, Justin Barmore, Amanda Barmore, Kelli Barmore, Lee Butler and Chad Barmore – step grandchildren; Jared, Jamie, Ryan, Chad and Amber. Shirley also had 13 great grandchildren and one great-great grandson. A host of nephews and nieces.
Shirley was preceded in death by her husband Robert Boggs; sons Mark and David Barmore; sister Louise Maren and brother Billy Arrant.
The family would like to extend our sincerest gratitude to Marlene Cryar, Meldais Johnson, Allene Enos and the staff at Heart of Hospice for the love, care and compassion given to our Mother over the last several years.

Those left to cherish her memory are her son, Leroy Maxie & wife Carol of Pineville, LA; daughters, Mary Sharp & husband Johnny of DeRidder, LA and Joyce Davis & husband Mike of Hornbeck, LA; 16 grandchildren, 36 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, family, friends; and a very special family friend Susie Philips.
Visitation will be held Monday, April 24, 2017 from 11:00 am – 8:00 pm at Myers Colonial Funeral Home in DeRidder, LA. Visitation will continue on Tuesday, April 25, 2017 at Myers Colonial Funeral Home from 10:00 am until 2:00 pm with the funeral service starting at 2:00 pm. Officiating the service will be Benjamin Shaw. Burial will follow at Good Hope cemetery in Singer, LA.

Mr. Cooley leaves behind his sons, Gene Cooley (Louise) of Rosepine, LA, Richard Cooley (Jan-Ann) of Sugartown, LA, Ronald Cooley of DeRidder, LA and Roger Dale Cooley (Sissy) of DeRidder, LA; daughters, Dorothy Ebare of DeRidder, LA, Peggy Prince (Ray) of Tyler, TX and Kathy Farris (Wayne) of DeRidder, LA; brother, Tom Cooley (Lettie) of DeRidder, LA; sister in law, Delores Cooley of DeRidder, LA; Thirty-three grandchildren, Sixty-five great grandchildren and two great- great grandchildren. A host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Blanche Cooley, parents, Mr. and Mrs. Oliver Cooley, sons, Micheal D. Cooley and Gerald Lynn Cooley, daughter, Sandra Pierce, brothers, Robert, Clifford, Earl and Pete Cooley; sisters, Alice Orton and Velma Wilson.
Mr. Cooley was a devoted father, grandfather and friend.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, April 22, 2017 from 5-10PM and again on Sunday from 12PM until time of service at Myers Colonial Funeral Home in DeRidder, LA. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, April 23, 2017 at 3PM at Myers Colonial Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Whitaker cemetery in DeRidder, LA.
