Visitation will be held on Monday, May 22, 2017 at Pentecostal Gospel Lighthouse in DeRidder, LA from 6-9 PM and again on Tuesday, May 23 from 9AM until time of service at 1:00 PM at Pentecostal Gospel Lighthouse. Burial will follow at Whitaker cemetery in Deridder, LA. Rev. Ed Tilley and Rev. Tony Warren will officiate.

Morris Walker Lanier
Morris Walker Lanier, Jr., 72, of Sulphur, LA, passed from this life on Friday, May 12, 2017.
Mr. Lanier was a member of the First Pentecostal Church of Sulphur, LA.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Brenda Lanier of Sulphur, LA; son, Trent Lanier & wife Nancy of Sulphur, LA; daughters, Sharon Dennis of Corpus Christi, TX and Lisa Lanier of Sulphur, LA; sisters, Annette Murray of Dallas, TX and Janice Brown of Beaumont, TX; six grandchildren: Heather Lanier, Amber Lanier, Cory Dennis, Kaya Dennis, Tiffany Daigle and Cody Daigle; five great grandchildren; and a host of family and friends.
He is preceded in death by parents, Morris & Orella Lanier; and six sisters, Norleen McFarland, Allie Mae Bruce, Melba Lean Deason, Melba Dean Gresham, Betty Lewis and Johnnie Sanders.
Visitation and service will be held on Monday, May 15, 2017 from 9:00AM-2:00PM until the time of service at 2:00PM at First Pentecostal Church in Sulphur, LA.
Garsie James
Garsie James, 100, of DeRidder, LA, passed from this life on Thursday, May 11, 2017.
Mr. James loved his God, Family and Country (in that order). His favorite bible verse was Romans 8:28; And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose. He loved working outside and being on his John Deere Tractor. When asked what he contributed his long life to, he answered, trust in the Lord, hard work and clean living (in that order).
Visitation and service will be held on Sunday, May 14, 2017 from 1:00 PM – 3:00 PM until the time of service at 3:00 PM at Myers Colonial Funeral Home, in DeRidder, LA. Reverend Johnny Johnson and Reverend Lindsey Burns will officiate.
Those left to cherish his memory are his daughter, Shonda Thomas and husband Steve of DeRidder, LA; Grandchildren, James A. Thomas and wife Ashleigh of Pineville, LA and Amber W. Thomas of Pineville, LA; Great Grandchildren, Easton Thomas and Brooks J. Thomas. A host of other family and friends.

Donald Jessie Rowlett, 77, of Merryville, LA, passed from this life on Wednesday, May 10, 2017.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife Alice Kibat Rowlett; sons, Matthew W. Rowlett & Twila of Lebanon, MO, Danny B. Rowlett & Debbie of Edmond, OK, and John L. Rowlett & Betty of Orange, TX; nine grandchildren: Joshua, Tess, Adam, Autumn, Jason, Diana, Danielle, Rachel, Nathan; eight great grandchildren: Norah, Reagan, Eisa, Milo, Summer, Aaron, Ava, Gideon; and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Nellie Tennessee Elrod Rowlett; his father, Daniel Jessie Rowlett and his brother DeWayne Rowlett.
Visitation will be held on Friday, May 12, 2017 from 6:00-9:00 pm at Calvary Baptist Church in Merryville, LA. Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 13, 2017 at 2:00 pm also at Calvary Baptist Church. Burial will follow at Cannon cemetery in Merryville, LA.
He will be truly missed by all.

Annie Bee Bass Keel, 86, of DeRidder, LA, passed from this life on Saturday, May 6, 2017.
Visitation will be held on Monday, May 8, 2017 from 5-8:30 PM at Myers Colonial Funeral Home in DeRidder, LA. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, May 9, 2017 at 4 PM at Myers Colonial Funeral Home in DeRidder, LA. Burial will follow at Hopewell cemetery in DeRidder, LA.
Georgia Ray Yule
Georgia Ray Yule passed away on Monday, May 1, 2017, at Beauregard Memorial Hospital in DeRidder, Louisiana. She was born June 12, 1939, to Troy and Mary Ray in Woodsboro, TX. She was preceded in death by her parents and sister Ellen Rexroad. She leaves behind her husband, Ronald Yule, sister Mary Jo McKittrick, sons Troy and Jeff Salmon, Grandchildren: Eric Salmon, Jennifer Midgett, Maggie Salmon, Katie Salmon, T.C. Salmon, Jamie Coeburn, Amanda Salmon, Nicholas Salmon, Georgia Salmon, and Elijah Salmon.
Georgia was a devoted wife and loving mother. She owned and operated H&R Block in DeRidder for twenty-seven years. Georgia was on organ donor and her body was donated to the Bureau of Anatomical Services (LSU). Memorial service pending at this time. The family asks donations be made to your local church in lieu of flowers.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Wanda Lee Bailey and Charles Wayne Sliman.

Jackie Myers Womack 80, of Merryville, LA, passed from this life Saturday, April 29, 2017.
A devoted wife, mother and grandmother, Jackie lived her life nurturing her family and friends. She was honored to serve as Chief of the Four Winds Cherokee Tribe and to hold numerous civic positions throughout the State and Parish. Her unfaltering dedication to the improvement of her community will be greatly missed.
Those left to cherish her memory are her son, Michael Womack of Merryville, LA; her daughter and son-in-law Cathy and Pete Nichols of Elkins, AR; grandchildren, Jessica, Amanda, PJ, Scott, Tawnie, Misty, Todd, and Katrina ; and numerous great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Myers; her husband Bill Womack; sons, Freddie and Keith Womack; brothers, DT and Bob Myers and sisters, Lou Edna Thompson, Mildred McDonald and Wanda Keel; granddaughter, Chere Womack.
