Albertha J. Dabney, a home health care sitter, died Saturday at Memorial Medical Center. She was 90. Mrs. Dabney was born in Port Hudson and lived in New Orleans. She was a member of Star Bethel Baptist Church, where she was a deaconess, president of the Missionary Society and a choir member. Survivors include two sons, Charles N. Green and John Ridley; two daughters, Ora Mae Jones and Janet D. Kinzy; a stepson, Sullivan J. Dabney Jr.; nine grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild. The funeral will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at Star Bethel Baptist Church, 2217 Harmony St. Visitation will begin at 8 a.m. Burial will be in Providence Memorial Park. D.W. Alvin J. Clark Sr., an employee of Sav-A-Center Supermarket, died June 6 of cardiac arrest at Memorial Medical Center. He was 66. Mr. Clark was born in Thibodaux and lived in New Orleans for the past 48 years. Survivors include his wife, Patricia M. Clark; two sons, Christopher and Alvin J. Clark Jr.; a daughter, Theresa Simmons; two brothers, Samuel Haughton Jr. of Marrero and Wilbert Sherman; two sisters, Lillie Dede of Harvey and Cora Walker; and four grandchildren. A funeral will be held Saturday at 10 a.m. at Gaskin-Southall-Gordon and Gordon Mortuary, 1225 N. Rampart St. Visitation will begin at 9 a.m. Burial will be in Resthaven Memorial Park.
CIOLINO, HENRY JOHN

Henry John Ciolino, a retired high school teacher, died Sunday at Memorial Medical Center. He was 84. Mr. Ciolino was a lifelong resident of New Orleans. He graduated from Jesuit High School and received a master's degree in education from Loyola University. Survivors include two sons, John B. and Henry P. Ciolino; a daughter, Jane Ellen Ciolino; four brothers, Sal, Samuel, Felix and Vincent Ciolino; and a grandchild. A Mass was said Wednesday at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home. Burial was in Lake Lawn Park Mausoleum.
CELESTIN, ISABELLA ‘BELL' JONES

Isabella "Bell" Jones Celestin, a homemaker, died Tuesday of breast cancer at her home. She was 48. Mrs. Celestin was a lifelong resident of St. James. She attended St. James High School. Survivors include her husband, Louis Celestin Sr.; her mother, Eloise C. Jones; two daughters, Latoya and Letecia Celestin; two stepsons, Louis Celestin Jr. and Dominic Celestin; two sisters, Genella Aubert and Rozella Williams; two brothers, the Rev. Myron Jones and Samuel Jones; a stepsister, Oneda Griffin; three stepbrothers, Robert Bernard and Steve and Curtis Raymond; and two stepgrandchildren. A funeral will be held Saturday at noon at Mount Calvary Baptist Church in St. James. Visitation will begin at 9 a.m. Burial will be in the church cemetery. David Colburn Brown Sr., a sous-chef at the Audubon Institute, died Tuesday at Charity Hospital of a gunshot wound. He was 22. Mr. Brown was born in Slidell and lived in New Orleans for many years. Survivors include two sons, Steven Taylor and David Colburn Brown Jr.; a daughter, Kateline Elizabeth Brown; his father, David Brown of Bay St. Louis, Miss.; his mother, Carvelle Brown; and a brother, Eldon Ashley Brown of Longview, Texas. A graveside service will be held Saturday at 10 a.m. at Burgetown cemetery, Carriere, Miss. Visitation will be today from 6 to 9 p.m. at Picayune Funeral Home in Picayune, Miss.

Renard Joseph Carter Jr., a kitchen helper, died June 6 at Charity Hospital of multiple gunshot wounds. He was 20. Mr. Carter was a lifelong resident of New Orleans. He attended Frederick Douglass High School. He worked at Mike Anderson's Seafood Restaurant. Survivors include his companion, Tameka Matthews; a son, Renard Joseph Carter III; a daughter, Re'ion Carter; his father, Renard Joseph Carter Sr.; his mother, Delores Johnson Singleton; a stepfather, Maurice Singleton; a brother, Michael Carter; three sisters, Chequila, Renell and Delores Carter; and his grandparents, Joseph and Audrey Carter. A funeral will be held today at 11 a.m. at St. James Methodist Church, 1925 Ursulines Ave. Visitation will begin at 8 a.m. Burial will be in Holt cemetery. Darryl Benard Brown, a painter for Commercial Paint Co., died June 7 of a gunshot wound in Jefferson Parish. He was 45. Mr. Brown was a lifelong resident of New Orleans. He was a former employee of Avondale Shipyard, Louisiana Power & Light Co., Kaiser Aluminum, Sears and the Army Corps of Engineers. He was an Army veteran. Survivors include two sons, Damian and Alonquin Benard Brown; two daughters, Javonka Darrell and Kia Nicole Brown; three brothers, Donnell, Keith and Kevin Brown; two sisters, Janice Atkinson and Natasha Brown; his stepfather, Ivory Brown; his grandfather, Stoney Woodson of Michigan; and three grandchildren. Lawrence Breaux, a retired employee of St. Charles Grain Elevator, died June 6 of cancer at Doctors Hospital of Jefferson. He was 75. Mr. Breaux was born in Seller and lived in New Sarpy for the past 50 years. He was a Navy veteran. He was a member of St. Matthew Baptist Church. Survivors include a son, Vernon Dell Breaux; two daughters, Mae Beth Washington and Debra Lee Breaux; four stepsons, Donald, Ronald, Dwayne and Anthony Myers; three stepdaughters, Jacqueline Marshall, Patricia Davis and Antoinette Myers; four brothers, Edward Chatman and Troy, Michael and Lanis Breaux; 23 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren. Norwood Jackson, a truck driver, died Saturday of kidney failure at Kindred Hospital. He was 47. Mr. Jackson was a lifelong resident of New Orleans and a graduate of Woodson High School. Survivors include his wife, Lulah Jackson; three sons, Marvin Turner, Darron and Dwayne Jackson; two stepsons, Eric and Reginald Jefferson; two stepdaughters, Keyiron Jefferson and Terrylen J. Lacoste; his father, Harry Lee; five brothers, Andrew, Norman and Sylvester Jackson, George Jordan and Harry Lee Jr.; three sisters, Christine and Consuella Lee and Ruby Patterson; and four grandchildren. Vilmore "Junior" J. Mayrbat, an operating engineer at Ursuline Academy, died Wednesday of cancer at Pendleton Memorial Methodist Hospital. He was 74. Mr. Mayrbat was born in New Orleans and lived in Chalmette. He was a Navy veteran. He was a member of the American Legion Post No. 175. He was a member of Pandora, Hercules, Pegasus and Pontchartrain Carnival clubs. He was a member of AARP Pakenham Chapter No. 3926. Survivors include his companion, Rosa Everett; a brother, Bernard Mayrbat; a half-sister, Ann Williams; three stepgrandchildren; and three stepgreat-grandchildren. Theresa Ann Pollard Jacks died of complications from diabetes at her home. She was 39. Mrs. Jacks was born in New Orleans, lived in Marrero and recently moved to Thibodaux. Survivors include a son, Edward Winslow of Atlanta; her father, Alfred Pollard Sr.; her stepmother, Theresa G. Pollard of Marrero; two brothers, Alfred Pollard Jr. of Harvey and Leon Green Jr. of Augusta, Ga.; and six sisters, Patricia Johnson, Malissa Wilson of Marrero, Bridgette Moore of Schriever, Ava M.
