Roosevelt Clark Green, a laborer, died Sunday of respiratory failure at University Hospital. He was 61. Mr. Green was a lifelong resident of New Orleans. He was a graduate of George Washington Carver High School. Survivors include three sons, Reginald, Darren and Cornell "Zion" Green; two daughters, Pamela Raymond and Leslie Green Jupiter; four brothers, Albert, Gregory and Isaiah Green and Phillip Clark; a sister, Bessie T. Green Carter; 12 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. A funeral will be held Saturday at 8 a.m. at St. Paul Church of God in Christ, 1020 Forstall St. Visitation will begin at 8 a.m. Burial will be in Resthaven Memorial Park. Gertrude Geddes Willis Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Kerry Joseph Windham, a self-employed roofer, died March 14 of kidney failure and a stroke at Lane Memorial Hospital in Jackson. He was 45. Mr. Windham was born in New Orleans and lived in Westwego for the past 40 years. He attended Walter L. Cohen High School. Survivors include his father, Luther J. Windham Sr.; his mother, Carol A. Wilson; his stepmother, Rosemary Windham; four brothers, Luther J. Windham Jr. and Brett, Blaine and Kenneth J. Meredith; a sister, Lisa S. Meredith of Marrero; and his grandfather, John P. Wheelock. A funeral will be held Friday at 11 a.m. at Littlejohn's Funeral Home, 2163 Aubry St. Visitation will begin at 8:30 a.m. Burial will be in Green Street cemetery.

Linnie Scott, a retired seamstress, died Saturday at Ferncrest Nursing Home. She was 80. Ms. Scott was born in Osyka, Miss., and lived in New Orleans for many years. She was a member of St. John Institutional Baptist Church. Survivors include two brothers, Willie C. and Kenneth Morris; and two sisters, Helen Bozonier of Rialto, Calif., and Ethel Brown of Batania, Ill. A wake will be held Friday at 8 p.m. at D.W. Rhodes Funeral Home, 3933 Washington Ave. Burial will be in Shiloh Baptist Church cemetery in Osyka.

Geraldine O. Pendleton, a retired private nurse, died Sunday at her home of undetermined causes. She was 70. Mrs. Pendleton was a lifelong resident of New Orleans. Survivors include her husband, Robert Pendleton Jr.; five sons, Walter and Alton Preston and Craig, Dameron and Dennis Pendleton; two daughters, Angle Lewis and Asia Pendleton; three brothers, Earl and Cyril Simpson Sr. and Weldell Bickham; a sister, Winnie Bickham; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Deborah Merchant, a homemaker, died March 14 of a heart attack at Baton Rouge General Hospital. She was 52. Ms. Merchant was born in New Orleans, lived in Hammond, Ind., and lived in Baton Rouge for the past 13 years. She graduated from Hammond High School in Hammond, Ind. She was a member of Belfast Baptist Church in Baton Rouge. Survivors include a son, Allen Merchant; her mother, Margaret Thomas of New Orleans; five brothers, Joseph Thomas Jr. of Seattle, Willie Merchant III of Birmingham, Michael Merchant, Reginald Merchant and Marvin Thomas; and eight sisters, Althea, Karen and Carla Merchant and Wanda Pendleton, all of Birmingham, and Hortense Merchant, Iris Lewis, Pamela Berhan and Tonya Powell, all of Seattle. A funeral will be held Friday at 11 a.m. at Majestic Mortuary, 1833 Oretha Castle Haley Blvd. Visitation will begin at 9 a.m. Burial will be in St. Louis cemetery No. 3.

Tyrone "Shorty" Cross Sr., a maintenance worker with Plaquemines Parish government, died Thursday of undetermined causes at his home. He was 41. Mr. Cross was born in New Orleans and lived in Pointe a la Hache for many years. He was a former employee of Electro Coal and New Orleans East Tires. He was a graduate of Phoenix High School. He was a member of Bethlehem Judea African Baptist Church and its Deacon Board, the Bethlehem Lodge No. 237 and Pointe a la Hache Volunteer Fire Department. Survivors include his wife, Lisa E. Cross; five sons, Tyrone Cross Jr., Caleb, Nicholas, Antonio and De'Andre Cross; three brothers, Wilfred Cross Sr., Gilbert and Gene Cross; and two sisters, Kay C. Williams and Connie Cross.
