Sylvester Nicholas Protti, a retired truck driver, died Thursday at Chalmette Medical Center. He was 77. Mr. Protti was born in New Orleans and lived in St. Bernard Parish for the past 45 years. He served in the Navy Reserves during World War II. Survivors include three daughters, Denise Hartling, Rhonda Craven and Francine Giordano; and five grandchildren. A funeral will be held today at 1:30 p.m. at St. Bernard Memorial Funeral Home, 701 W. Virtue St., Chalmette. Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. Burial will be in St. Bernard Memorial Gardens.
MILES, YVONNE COOK DENNISON

Yvonne Cook Dennison Miles, a retired physical occupational therapist, died Wednesday at Touro Infirmary. She was 79. Mrs. Miles was a lifelong resident of New Orleans. She graduated from McDonogh 35 High School and attended Xavier University. She was a member of St. Mark Missionary Baptist Church and the Mid Day Usher Board. Survivors include her husband, Frank Miles Sr.; two sons, Herbert Jr. and Howard Dennison Sr.; six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. A funeral will be held today at 8 p.m. at St. Mark Missionary Baptist Church, 3219 Daneel St. Visitation will begin at 5 p.m. Burial will be Tuesday at 10 a.m. at Mount Olivet cemetery. D.W. Rhodes Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Albert "Peanut" Delcuze Jr., a retired letter carrier, died Friday of heart failure at West Jefferson Medical Center. He was 72. Mr. Delcuze was born in Gretna and lived in Marrero for the past 45 years. He was a member of the National Association of Letter Carriers. He was a sergeant in the Marine Corps. Survivors include his wife, Marie Michel Delcuze; a son, Troy Delcuze; three daughters, Kim Muhleisen, Shannon and Chastity Delcuze; two sisters, Deedee Gondrella and Helen Silverstein; and two grandchildren. A funeral will be held today at 11 a.m. at Mothe Funeral Home, 7040 Lapalco Blvd., Marrero. Visitation will begin at 9 a.m. Burial will be in Westlawn Park cemetery.

Todd Philip Steckler, a lawyer, died Tuesday of undetermined causes in Pensacola, Fla. He was 40. Mr. Steckler was born in New Orleans and lived in Pensacola. He was a graduate of Tulane University Law School. Survivors include a brother, Steven A. Steckler, and two sisters, Stacey Steckler LeBlanc and Tanya Steckler Kendal. A funeral will be held Sunday at 4:30 p.m. at Jacob Schoen & Son Funeral Home, 3827 Canal St. Visitation will begin at 2 p.m. Burial will be private.

Charles Alfred Snee, president of Snee Lumber Co., died March 16 at his home. He was 82. Mr. Snee was born in Morgan City and lived in Jefferson for the past 58 years. He graduated from Tulane University. He was an Army veteran of World War II. Survivors include two sons, Richard and William David Snee; a daughter, Susan Snee; four sisters, Nancy LeBlanc, Betty Haywood, Jane Bayhi and Joan Uzee; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. A Mass will be said today at 9 a.m. at Tharp-Sontheimer-Tharp Funeral Home, 1600 N. Causeway Blvd., Metairie. Visitation will begin at 8:30 a.m. Burial will be in Garden of Memories.

Constance Osborne Harter, a former piano teacher, died Thursday of a brain hemorrhage at Memorial Medical Center. She was 80. Mrs. Harter was born in Brookville, Pa., and lived in New Orleans for more than 50 years. She attended Beaver College in Glenside, Pa. She was a volunteer at the New Orleans Museum of Art, a member of St. Charles Avenue Presbyterian Church, a founding member of Woodland Presbyterian Church and a former choir director. Survivors include a son, Sandy Harter; two daughters, Cynthia Cay Harter deBlanc and Rebecca Jane Harter; a brother, Herbert A. Osborne of Newark, Del.; two sisters, Joy O. Clark of Houston and Mitzi O. Carr of Trenton, N.J.; and four grandchildren. A memorial service will be held today at 3 p.m. at Trinity Episcopal Church, 1329 Jackson Ave., followed by a reception at the Church Parish House. Bultman Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Michelle Louise Green, an employee of L&R; Security, died March 14 of undetermined causes at her home. She was 42. Ms. Green was a lifelong resident of New Orleans. She graduated from O. Perry Walker High School and the University of New Orleans. Survivors include a daughter, Damita Green; her mother, Elizabeth Green Phillip; three brothers, Larry Wright and Albert and Christopher Green; and four sisters, Patty Arnold, Constance Wright and Shawn and Alvarene Reed. Brenda Parker Webb, a slot dispatcher, died Tuesday of a heart attack at her home. She was 51. Mrs. Webb was a lifelong resident of New Orleans. She was a graduate of Booker T. Washington High School, Phillips Junior College and Steven's Beauty School. She was a former employee of Bally's Casino, the Treasure Chest Casino and the Louis Armstrong International Airport security department. She was a senior usher at St. Paul No. 4 Missionary Baptist Church. Survivors include her husband, Zebedee Webb; a son, William Joseph Bee III; two sisters, Laura Parker Singer and Audrey Parker Jackson; and two grandchildren. A funeral will be held Saturday at 10 a.m. at St. James Methodist Church of Louisiana, 1925 Ursulines Ave. Visitation will begin at 8 a.m. Burial will be in Providence Memorial Park. George Petitpren Jr., a retired employee of Chrysler Aerospace at Lockheed Martin Aerospace, died Sunday of pancreatic cancer at Metropolitan Hospice. He was 79. Mr. Petitpren was born in Anchorville, Mich., and lived in New Orleans. Survivors include his wife, Mary Harvilla Petitpren; two daughters, Georgette Petitpren Johnson and Georgine Petitpren Lightsey; four brothers, Clarence J., Leroy J., Justin J. and Richard J. Petitpren; three sisters, Marion P. Therrien, Justine P. Fraley and Theresa P. Bushey; and a grandchild. A Mass will be said today at noon at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd. Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. Burial will be in All Saints Mausoleum.
