HEBERT, RAYMOND P.
A retired operator from Allied Chemical Corp. with 40 years of service, he died at 8:10 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 1, 2004, at his home in Addis. He was 87 and a native of Addis. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. Visiting at Wilbert Funeral Home, Plaquemine, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday with recitation of the rosary at 7 p.m. Visiting at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Brusly, from 9:30 a.m. until Mass of Christian Burial at noon Wednesday, celebrated by the Rev. Matt Dupre. Entombment in church mausoleum. Survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Huey P. Hebert and Rosemary Ockmand Hebert, Addis; a grandson and his wife, Huey Jr. and Teresa Welch Hebert, Addis; a granddaughter and her husband, Bridget Hebert LeJeune and Kevin of Brusly; and five great-grandchildren, Mason, Abbey and Kaelee Hebert and Logan and Koty LeJeune. preceded in death by his wife, Mary Ann Delapasse Hebert; parents, Luke and Ida Thibodeaux Hebert; two brothers, Leon and Addis Hebert; and two sisters, Cecile Hebert Gassie and Hilda Hebert Guidry. He was a former member of Richfield Hunting Club and the American Legion in Port Allen.

JACOBS, ELOISE ALLEN
Eloise Allen Jacobs went to be with the Lord and her loved ones on Saturday, Jan. 31, 2004. She was a child of God and a true Christian. She loved God, life and her family and friends. She was 65, a resident of Baton Rouge and a native of Franklin County, Miss. Eloise was the daughter of Smylie and Rosie Lee McFall Allen, both of whom predeceased her. She was married for 44 years to William Harold Jacobs, who predeceased her on Jan. 31, 2003. Mrs. Jacobs is survived by her two brothers, Harold Lester Allen and Ellison B. Allen; and her two sisters, Robbie Geraldine Allen Mullins and Anne Rose Allen Temple. She will be missed by her in-laws, Noel David and Ruth Jacobs, Arie and Charlie Cooper, Edward Temple and Judy Allen; her eight nieces, three nephews, numerous great-nieces and great-nephews, family, friends and personal caregivers. Eloise was a lover of sports. She graduated from LSU with a bachelor's degree in physical education and from William & Mary College in Williamsburg, Va., with a master's degree in counseling. Mrs. Jacobs has been a teacher and coach. She last worked at Walsingham Academy in Williamsburg as an athletic director. Mrs. Jacobs was a charter member of Walnut Hills Baptist Church. Also preceding Mrs. Jacobs in death was her nephew, Drew Cooper, and great-nephew, Christopher Edward Stanley. Visiting was at Rabenhorst Funeral Home East, 11000 Florida Blvd., from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Monday, Feb. 2, 2004. Visiting at Siloam Baptist Church, Meadville, Miss., from 10 a.m. until service at 11 a.m. Tuesday, conducted by the Rev. Larry Robertson. Mrs. Jacobs' body will be laid to rest in the church cemetery.

LANDRY, DONALD L.
Donald L. Landry, 71, of Sherwood passed away on Friday, Jan. 30, 2004, in North Little Rock, Ark. He was born Sept. 14, 1932, to Lawrence Phillip and Cornelia Brogdon Landry in Baton Rouge. Mr. Landry, with a love of dogs, started working with them at the age of 9. Through his years of handling, he has bred and shown dogs for more than 50 years with 10 generations of cockers, two generations of Brussels and a number of other winning breeds. One sister, Genevieve Landry Whitehead, preceded him in death. He is survived by two sisters, Rita Landry and Marie Fousse; a brother, Lawrence Landry; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, great-nieces, great-nephews and cousins. He is also survived by a special friend, Patrick Garety. A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 5, 2004, at St. Luke's Episcopal Church in North Little Rock with the Rev. LEBLANC, CASSYL JACKSON
Cassyl Jackson LeBlanc of Birmingham, formerly of Louisiana, passed away on Monday, Jan. 26, 2004. She was a native of Louisiana, where she was born and educated. She was preceded in death by her husband, Leonce Louis LeBlanc, who was a native of Louisiana. Both were very active in the church and state. She is survived by a daughter, Bette Anne LeBlanc Bargeron and her husband, Charlton; grandchildren, Walter Charlton Bargeron Jr. and his wife, Missy, and Leonce LeBlanc Bargeron and his wife, Sara; and great-grandchildren, Evalyn LeBlanc Bargeron, Andrew Charlton Bargeron, Walter Carlisle Bargeron and Olivia LeBlanc Bargeron. A private graveside service was held Thursday, Jan. 29, 2004, at Elmwood cemetery, Birmingham. The family suggests that contributions be made to the Comprehensive Cancer Center, 1824 Sixth Ave. South, Birmingham, AL 35233. Johns-Ridout's Funeral Parlors was in charge of arrangements.

LEBLANC, MARY LENA GUIDRY
A loving mother and grandmother known for her love of cooking, Cajun music and Atlanta Braves baseball, she died at 2:23 a.m. Monday, Feb. 2, 2004, at Plaquemine Manor Nursing Home. She was 83, a native of Breaux Bridge and resident of Plaquemine. Visiting will be held at Pellerin Funeral Home, Berard Street, Breaux Bridge, from 2 p.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 3, 2004, and after 7 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 4, 2004. Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. Bernard Catholic Church, Breaux Bridge. Interment in St. Bernard cemetery No. 2, Breaux Bridge. She will be missed dearly by her husband of 63 years, John Preston LeBlanc; a daughter and son-in-law, Sandra and Clarence R. "Bubby" Dupont, Plaquemine; five grandchildren, John Dupont and wife Liesse, Baton Rouge, Shannon Dupont and wife Kelly, Baton Rouge, Melissa Dupont, Plaquemine, and Andrew LeBlanc and Shawn LeBlanc, both of Lafayette; and five great-grandchildren, Michael Dupont and Jacob Dupont, both of Prairieville, and Nathan Dupont, Nicholas Dupont and Patrick Dupont, all of Baton Rouge; a brother and sister-in-law, Elie and Vivian Guidry, Breaux Bridge; sisters-in-law, Edith Melancon, Yvonne Guidry and Lorraine LeBlanc, all of Henderson; a brother-in-law, Bienville Frederick of Cecilia; and numerous nieces and nephews. preceded in death by a son, Henry P. LeBlanc; father, Joseph L. Guidry; mother, Eva Guidry; a grandson, Mark Raymond Dupont; brothers, O'Niel Guidry and Francis Guidry; sisters, Helen Guidry Huval and Edez Guidry Timmons; a brother, Sidney M. Guidry; and numerous nieces, nephews and close friends.

LEWIS, JAMES FRANKLIN
Retired and a member of Construction & General Laborers Local Union 1177, he died Sunday, Feb. 1, 2004, at 8:40 p.m. at Baton Rouge General Medical Center. He was 90 and a resident of Baton Rouge. Visiting at Nazarene Baptist Church from 11 a.m. Wednesday until religious service at 1:30 p.m., conducted by Dr. Albert Green Jr. Interment in Roselawn Memorial Park. Survived by a daughter, Beatrice Chillis; two grandchildren, Faye Davis and Charles Dixon; four great-grandchildren, five great-great-grandchildren, and a godchild, M. Varise Webb. preceded in death by his wife, Mary Clara Lewis; a sister, Thelma Dudley; and a grandson, James Dixon. Capital Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

MCDOWELL, AMANDA W.
A resident of Tickfaw, she departed this life Sunday, Feb. 1, 2004, at Hood Memorial Hospital, Amite. She was 101. Visiting at Greater St. James Missionary Baptist Church, Tickfaw, from 4 p.m. Wednesday until religious service at 7 p.m., conducted by the Rev. Dr. Wilbard Jones. Dismissal at 11 a.m. Thursday. Interment in Holly Gardens cemetery, Hammond. Survived by her daughter, Ella Mae Keith, Tickfaw; six grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and other relatives and friends. MCKAY, JR. JAMES FRANK
Retired director of placement at Southern University and a resident of Baton Rouge, he died at 11:30 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 29, 2004, at his home. He was 86 and a native of New Orleans. He was a U.S. Army veteran. Visiting at Mount Zion First Baptist Church from 9 a.m. until religious service at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 4, 2004, conducted by Rabenhorst Funeral Home, 825 Government St. Interment in Southern Memorial Gardens. Survived by his wife, Odia Mae Pate McKay; two daughters, Joycelyn McKay Crumpton, Los Angeles, and Cheryl McKay Dixon, New Orleans; a granddaughter, Beryl Mignon Crumpton, Esq., San Francisco; a brother, Warren E. McKay Sr., Los Angeles; and four grandchildren. preceded in death by his wife of 57 years, Annie Ruth Wilson McKay; father, James Frank McKay; mother, Edna Mable Moore McKay; a sister, Annie Louise Payne; and a brother, Edwin Luther McKay Sr. Pallbearers will be John P. He was a 1935 graduate of McDonogh High School, a graduate of Dillard University and Columbia University, member of Phi Beta Sigma fraternity, first black president of the Southwest Placement Association, a champion golfer, avid fisherman and sportsman, chief of Veterans Administration Guidance Center, Southern University, assistant director of student personnel services at Grambling College and director of Placement and Guidance Center, Southern University.

ORLANDO, CARMELITE MARGARET FERRARA
A native and resident of Tickfaw, she died Monday, Feb. 2, 2004, at her home. She was 82. Visitation will be held Tuesday, Feb. 3, 2004, at Mater Dolorosa Catholic Church, Independence, from 9 a.m. until religious service at 10:30 a.m., conducted by the Rev. McDuffy. Entombment in Colonial Mausoleum. Survived by husband of 58 years, Anthony S. "Buddy" Orlando, Tickfaw; two sons, Salvadore "Sonny" Orlando, Tickfaw, and Dominic "Donny" Orlando; six grandchildren, Sal "Bud" Orlando, Ashley Turner, Aime� Nethercutt, Dominic Orlando, Doyle Orlando and Kristin Orlando; three great-grandchildren, Ashton, Austin and Brianna Orlando; two sisters, Kay Losavio and Margaret Stabiler, both of Baton Rouge; and two brothers, Joe and Russell Ferrara, both of Baton Rouge. preceded in death by parents, Dominic and Margaret Inzenga Ferrara; two sisters, Jean Michel and Rose Losavio; and a brother, Dominic "Red" Ferrara. RICHARDSON, BOBBY MAURICE
He passed away Sunday, Feb. 1, 2004, and was born April 28, 1930, in Electra, Texas. He was preceded in death by his father and mother, Harry H. and Agnes Claer Richardson. Bobby served with the 82nd Airborne Division during the Korean War and worked for Halliburton Services for 30 years in Louisiana and Texas. He is survived by his wife, Norma Cook of Lago Vista; a son, Scott Richardson of Oklahoma City; daughters, Lisa Stansberry of Baton Rouge and Nancy Williams and husband Blair of Dallas; and a granddaughter, Sarah Stansberry, of whom he was very proud. The family will receive friends from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday at Beck Funeral Home, 1700 E. Whitestone, Austin, Texas. Graveside service at 10 a.m. Thursday at Fairview cemetery, Gainesville, Texas.
