FERRIDAY, La. -- Services for Kelly Ray Patrick, 83, of Lake St. John, who died Friday, Aug. 20, 2004, at his residence, will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at Comer Funeral Home chapel with the Revs. Buford Skelton and Mark Richardson officiating.
Burial will be held at 1 p.m. Monday at Delhi Masonic cemetery in Delhi with the Rev. Paul Lipe officiating.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Mr. Patrick was born April 15, 1921, in Polkville.
He was a retired drilling superintendent with Crystal Oil Co. in Shreveport.
Kelly was a veteran of World War II, serving as a staff sergeant and earning the Bronze Star for meritorious action in combat that saved the life of his men.
He moved his family from Dunn, La., to Ferriday in 1962, where he was employed as a drilling superintendent for Crystal Oil Co. in Shreveport, La.
Kelly was a member of Lakeshore Baptist Church and of the Masonic Lodge.
He was preceded in death by his beloved grandson, Clint Patrick; his parents, Claude and Bessie Patrick; brother Earl and Charlie; and sisters Louise Williamson, Clemmie Watson and Bessie Sinclair Anderson.
Survivors include his wife of 63 years, Joy Pitts Patrick; three children, Kerry Patrick of Natchez, Johnny Patrick and his wife, Sharon, both of Vidalia, and Joyce Patrick Hunter and her husband, Jerry, both of Delhi; six grandchildren, Cindy Tassin, Mike Kyle and Sean, Sabrina, Keri Ann and Brian Patrick; 10 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Jerri Sanders of Winnsboro and Mary Carr of Keithville; and one brother, George Patrick of Delhi.
Pallbearers will be Doug Madison, Max Huff, Ronnie Tyson, Tom Bell Jr., James Renfro and George Stevens.
Honorary pallbearers will be Sam Sims, E.T. Elliot, Leland Carpenter, Freddie Tyson, Oscar Stewart, Ray Stephens and Stafford Watts.

FERRIDAY, La. - Services for Jesse Lamark "Stanka" Garrison, 29, of Ferriday, La., who died Sunday, Aug. 15, 2004 in Natchez, will be 1 p.m. Saturday at Ferriday Jr. High School in Ferriday, La. with Pastor Robert Cade officiating.
Burial will be in the Vidalia cemetery in Vidalia, La. under the direction of Concordia Funeral Home of Ferriday, La.
Visitation is from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Mr. Garrison was born May 25, 1975, in Natchez, the son of Jesse Milligan and Annette Garrison.
He is preceded in death by his father and one brother, Jonathan Garrison.
Survivors include his mother, Annette Garrison of Ferriday, La.; two children, Camerick Johnson of Natchez and Rayven Webb of Ferriday, La.; four brothers, Anthony (Jacqueline) Garrison of Ruston, La., Alvin Garrison and Lawrence Garrison, both of Ferriday, La., and DeWayne Smith of Vidalia, La.; one sister, Tangelia Goffner of Las Vagas, Nev.; and a number of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.

FERRIDAY, La. - Services for Samuel Henry Sr., 72, of New Orleans, La., formerly of Ferriday, La., who died Friday, Aug. 13, 2004, in New Orleans, La., will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Zion Hill Baptist Church in Ferriday, La. with Rev. Leroy White officiating.
Burial will be in the Zion Hill Church cemetery under the direction of Concordia Funeral Home of Ferriday, La.
Visitation is from 6 pm to 8 pm today at the funeral home.
Mr. Henry was born Oct. 8, 1931, in Natchez, the son of Scie and Evelyn Mays Henry.
He was a retired longshoreman.
He is preceded in death by his parents; two brothers and one sister.
Survivors include four sons, Michael (Kim) Henry, Samuel (Maman Lee) Henry Jr, Jerome Henry, and Ernest Henry, all of New Orleans, La.; six daughters, Octavia Henry, Delina H. (Keith) Johnson, Laura Henry, Edna Henry, Almarie Henry, and Diane Caston, all of New Orleans, La.; a special niece, Rosie Hagans of Ferriday, La.; twenty-four grandchildren and twenty-five great-grandchildren.
Lawrence Lavell Walters
ST. FRANCISVILLE, La. - Memorial services for Lawrence Lavell "Paw Paw" Walters, 77, a resident of St. Francisville and a native of Bogalusa, La., who died Monday, August 16, 2004, at West Feliciana Parish Hospital, will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at First Baptist Church in St. Francisville with the Rev. Joe Ratcliff officiating.
Always with the betterment of his fellow man at heart, he donated his body for medical research.
He was a loving and beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He never encountered a stranger, and counted everyone he knew among his friends. A gifted painter, he bestowed specially painted "ladybug" rocks upon everyone he met. He was retired from the maintenance department of the Crown Vantage paper mill in St. Francisville, and was a member of Local 928. He was a deacon of First Baptist Church of St. Francisville.
Mr. Walters was preceded in death by his first wife, Mary Smith Walters; parents, Russell L. and Vesta Mae Walters; sister, Ellen Walters Bush; and granddaughter, Angel Davis.
He leaves to celebrate his life and mourn his passing his wife, Jo Ann Hubbard Walters of St. Francisville; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Paul Walters of St. Francisville and Steve and Melanie Walters of Tunica; three step-daughters and sons-in-law, Janice and Collins Pertuis and Sharlene and Greg Smith, all of St. Francisville, and Christine and Randy Irvin of Lake St. John, La.; a step-son and daughter-in-law, Lewis and Stephanie Davis of Carthage; and a brother and sister-in-law, David and Carole Walters of Orange, Calif. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Jessica and Julius Metz of St. Francisville; Chelsea Walters of Tunica; Jeremy and Kristen Pertuis of Alvin, Texas; Patrick and Jacqueline Robertson of Centreville; Will Phipps and Carly Smith of St. Francisville; Bryan, Shelby and Samantha Davis, all of Carthage; Janie Irvin of Baton Rouge, La.; and Brad and Beth Irvin of Natchez; as well as his great-grandchildren, Alexis Pertius of Alvin; Jacob Robertson and Emily Hopkins of Centreville; and Blake and Bailey Irvin of Natchez.

Mrs. Ratcliff was born Aug. 15, 1948 in New Roads, La.
She was a resident of Ridgecrest and a Customer Service Manager of Wal Mart. She was of the Catholic faith.
She is preceded in death by her father, Weldon Chustz and an infant sister.
Survivors include her husband, Charlie Ratcliff of Ridgecrest, La.; two sons, James Claxton of Ridgecrest, La., and Michael (Allison) Ratcliff of Praireville, La.; two daughters, Michelle Spillman of Ridgecrest, La., and LeAnne Honeycutt of Irving, Texas; mother, Ethel Chustz of New Roads, La., three sisters, Wilda Webber and Linda Denova, both of Maringouin, La., and Brenda Toney of Glynn, La.; six grandchildren, Trey Spillman, Krystal Spillman, Connor Spillman, Trent Guidrox, Peyton Honeycutt, and Hunter Ratcliff; one godchild, Lisa Landry; and pet dog, "Goochie".

Mr. Bordelon was a resident of Monterey. He was a student of North Wesern University and a member of the Lismore Baptist Church.

Mrs. Temple was born Aug. 10, 1933, in Fayette, the daughter of the late George and Pearlie Rushing Jamison of Natchez.
She is preceded in death by her sisters Annie Rae Dickson, Mary Louise Holmes, Katy Lee Jones, Helen Marie Jamison; and brothers Jimmy, Albert, Carroll, Mack (Pete), and Leslie Jamison; and son-in-law Kenneth Netherland.
Survivors include her husband, Frazier (Buddy) Temple; daughter, Linda Netherland (John) Laird; sons, Roy (Lynette) Temple, and David (Dottie) Temple; five grandchildren, Wendy Netherland (Chad) Harkins, Sandy Netherland (Shad) Roberts, LeNell Temple (Andy) Briggs, Brad (Marilyn) Temple, and Richard Wayne Temple; five great-grandchildren, Kelsey and Blaine Briggs, Brittney Temple, Raylyn Harkins, and Payton Roberts.

Mr. Wimberly was born Jan. 4, 1913, in Hall Summit. He was retired from Chevron and the trucking business. He was a Baptist.
He was preceded in death by a son, Cary Wimberly; two brothers, Lawrence Wimberly and Codie Wimberly; and his parents, Andrew Lawson Wimberly and Etta Mae Wimberly.
Survivors include his wife of 64 years, Helen Wimberly of Ferriday; two sons, Robert Wimberly and wife Pam of Prairieville and Charles Wimberly and wife Susan of Baton Rouge; daughter-in-law Jean Wimberly of Leesville; six grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
