FERRIDAY, La. -- Services for Annie Riley, 53, of Waterproof, La., who died Saturday, May 1, 2004, at her residence, are incomplete at Concordia Funeral Home in Ferriday.

Elizabeth Ann Milligan

VIDALIA, La. -- Funeral services for Elizabeth Ann Milligan, 62, a resident of Vidalia, who died Saturday, May 1, 2004, at Natchez Regional Medical Center in Natchez, will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Vidalia with Rev. Paul Kunnumpuram officiating.

Burial will follow at Natchez City cemetery under the direction of Young's Funeral Home in Vidalia.

Visitation will be from 6 until 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Mrs. Milligan was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, Alphonse Delaney and Mae Jewell Delaney.

Survivors include her husband, Jack T. Milligan of Vidalia; a son, Tommy (Leeann) Milligan of Natchez; three daughters, Terrie (Paul) Gustafson of Beaumont, Texas, Toni (Keith) Lambert of Rayville and Tara Milligan of Vidalia; a sister, Linda Sevin of Vidalia; a step-brother, Walter Sevin of Vidalia; a grandson, Garret Gustafson; and four granddaughters, lacy lambert, Laci Fitt, Jamie Lambert and McKenzie Milligan.

Pallbearers will be Paul Gustafson, Keith Lambert, Brent Smith, Alex Dunaway, Darren Cowart and Mike Willis.

Walter Sevin will serve as an honorary pallbearer.

Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association.

Cindy Denise Knapp Welch

FERRIDAY, La. -- Funeral Services for Cindy Denise Knapp Welch, 40, of Vidalia, who died Friday, April 30, 2004, at Natchez Regional Medical Center in Natchez, will be at 2 p.m. today at Vidalia First Baptist Church in Vidalia with Rev. Dan Glenn officiating.

Burial will be at Tiffee Family cemetery under the direction of Young's funeral Home in Ferriday.

Mrs. Welch was a member of Vidalia First Baptist Church.

Survivors include her husband, Darrell Welch of Vidalia; her father and step-mother, Alton and Theresa Knapp Sr. of Monterey; her mother, Jo Ann Knapp Pecanty of Monterey; a son, Joshua (Lana) McCall of Monterey; a granddaughter, Layla McCall; two brothers, Alton Knapp Jr. of Houston, Texas and Joseph Ellis Knapp of Natchez; a sister, Julie Ann May of Natchez; and a grandfather, Clyde Pecanty of Monterey.

Pallbearers will be Tim Welch, Derek Welch, James McCall, Justin May, Clyde Ray Pecanty and Mike Sanders.

Honorary pallbearers are Bubba May and Floyd McCalip.

Clyde William Hamilton

May 22, 1930 - May 1, 2004

PARHAMS, La. - Services for Clyde William Hamilton, 73, of Parhams, who died Saturday, May 1, 2004, in Alexandria, La., will be at 10 a.m. today at Parhams Baptist Church with the Rev. Chase Weeks and the Rev. Tony Ganey officiating.

Burial will be in the church cemetery under the directions of Comer Funeral Home of Ferriday, La.

Mr. Hamilton was born May 22, 1930, in Sicily Island, La., the son of Leonard L. and Bernice S. Hamilton.

He was a life long resident of Catahoula and Concordia Parishes and formerly Ridgecrest. He was a pipe fitter with International Paper Company in Natchez until his retirement in 1996. He was a veteran serving in the U. S. Army and a member of the Parhams Baptist Church in Parhams, La.

Mr. Hamilton was preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include his wife, Bonnie H. Hamilton of Parhams; daughters, Brenda H. Weeks of Vidalia, La. and Linda H. Cupit of West Monroe, La.; brother, Lamon Hamilton of Dry Prong, La.; sisters, Leona Gardner and Louise Higgins, both of Columbia, La.; grandchildren, Chase Weeks, Nikki Thames and Heather Doucas; five great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Dexter Hutchins, Mikle Hutchins, Mike Capps, Alvin Doughty, Roy Doughty, Ray Sullivan and Jimmy Higgins.

Honorary pallbearers will be Taylor Cothern, Tiffany Weeks, Dominic Doucas, Hailey Thames and Tevin Doucas.

C.M. Richards

LISMORE, La. - Services for C. M. Richards, 77, of Monterey, La., who died Monday, May 3, 2004, at Riverland Medical Center in Ferriday, La., will be at 2 p.m. today at Lismore Baptist Church with the Rev. C. D. Beard and the Rev. Ken Gilmore officiating.

Burial will follow at Ozwalt cemetery under the direction of Young's Funeral Home Ferriday.

He was a member of the Lismore Baptist Church. He served in the U.S. Navy during WWII in the Pacific Theater. He also served in the U.S. Army in the Eleventh Airborne Division as a qualified parachutist and qualified gliderist. Mr. Richards was very involved in the Lismore Community.

Mr. Richards was preceded in death by his father, Tom Richards; mother, Malvy Richards; brothers, Lloyd Richards and Tommy Richards; sister, Lolette McMillian.

Survivors include his wife, Estelle Miller Richards of Monterey; daughters, Penny R. White of Lismore and Elizabeth "Becky" Moody of Orange Park, Fla.; brothers, Lindy Richards of Lismore and Bobby Richards of Hattiesburg; sister, Nell Waltman of Lismore; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Morris Miller Wilson, Jack Mount, Sidney Wiley, Pete Wheeler, Tim Richards and Eddie Waltman.

Dell Granger

Oct. 21, 1920 - Aug. 4, 2004

SICILY ISLAND, La. - Services for Dell Granger, 83, of Sicily Island, La., who died Wednesday, August 4, 2004, will be at 10 a.m. today at New Hope Pentecostal Church with Bro. Roy Archer officiating.

Burial will be in the Highland Park cemetery under the direction of Young's Funeral Home Ferriday.

Geneva Bates Gibson

Sept. 19, 1916 - Aug. 4, 2004

FERRIDAY, La. - Services for Geneva Bates Gibson, 87, of Ferriday, who died Wednesday, Aug. 4, 2004, at her daughter's residence in Ferriday, will be at 11a.m. Saturday at Mt. Pilgrim Baptist Church with Rev. James Washington officiating.

Burial will be in the Whitehall cemetery in Ferriday under the direction of Concordia Funeral Home.

Visitation is from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Ms. Gibson was born Sept. 19, 2004, in Natchez, the daughter of the late Vincent and Sarah Mack.

She was a homemaker.

Ms. Gibson was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Willie Gibson; and one sister, Maggie Plummer,

Survivors include four sons, McKinley Bates (Debra), Arthur Bates (Anna) all of Vidalia, La., Julius Mack (Delores) of Houston, Texas, Vincent Mack (Clara) of Sacramento, Calif.; three daughters, Phyllis Ellis (Ernest), Janie Bates, Velma Fortune (Robert), all of Ferriday, La.; two nephews; thirty-four grandchildren, one hundred ten great-grandchildren; thirteen great-great-grandchildren.

Joe Williams

Oct. 4, 1915 - Aug. 3, 2004

FERRIDAY, La. - Services for Joe Williams, 88, of Ferriday, who died Tuesday, Aug. 3, 2004, at Riverland Medical Center in Ferriday, will be at 2:30 p.m. Saturday at First Baptist Church on Second Street, Ferriday with the Rev. L.B. Oliver officiating.

Burial will follow at Ferriday cemetery under the direction of Concordia Funeral Home.

Visitation is from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Mr. Williams was born Oct. 4, 1915, in Fairview, La., the son of Arthur and Gertrude Williams.

Mr. Williams was preceded in death by one son, Willie Conner.

Survivors include one son, Nathaniel Conner of Ferriday; one daughter, Ethel Conner of Ferriday; and a number of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Rosetta McGraw Standberry

March 10, 1918 - July 31, 2004

WATERPROOF, La. - Services for Rosetta McGraw Standberry, 86, of Waterproof, La., who died Saturday, July 31, 2004, at Heritage Manor Health & Rehab in Ferriday, La., will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Cypress Grove Baptist Church in Waterproof with the Rev. Roosevelt England officiating.

Burial will be in the Myrtle Grove cemetery in Waterproof under the direction of Concordia Funeral Home.

Mrs. Standberry was born March 10, 1918, in Waterproof, the daughter of Welther and Effie Moore McGraw.

She was a homemaker.

Mrs. Standberry was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Standberry, and one son Eugene Standberry.

Survivors include four sons, Clarence Standberry of Crosby, Texas, Harold (Delores) Standberry, Ernest (Diane) Standberry, and Johnny Standberry, all of Houston, Texas; five daughters, Effie Phillips of Ferriday, Mary (Erwin) Jones; Lillie Peters, Martha S. (Rev. Willie) Hunter; Blanche Bradford, all of Houston, Texas; one brother, Nettie McGraw of Tallulah, La.; one aunt, Ella Williams of Ferriday; and a number of other relatives and friends.

LEESVILLE, La. -- Funeral services for Lula L. Pea, 91, of Leesville, who died Wednesday, July 28, 2004, at Byrd Memorial Hospital, willl be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Mount Olive Baptist Curch the Rev. C. Turner officiating.

Burial will follow in Leesville Memorial cemetery under the direction of Davis Mortuary.

Mrs. Pea was born Feb. 12, 1913, in Mansfield, La., the daughter of Jim and Carmilla Harris.

She was a homemaker.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Lucille Matthews Miller

Aug. 9, 1925 - July 29, 2004

FERRIDAY, La. - Funeral services for Mrs. Lucille Matthews Miller, 78, of Waterproof, La., who died Thursday, July 29, 2004, at Natchez Regional Medical Center, will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Young's Funeral Home Chapel Ferriday with the Rev. Jonathan King officiating.

Burial will be in the Natchez City cemetery under the direction of Young's Funeral Home Ferriday.

Visitation is from 5 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Mrs. Miller was born Aug. 9, 1925, in Bude, the daughter of the late L. L. Matthews and the late Edolee Matthews.

She was a resident of Waterproof, a homemaker, and a member of the First United Methodist Church of St. Joseph. She was the Secretary and Historian for Bruin-Vidal Chapter of Daughters of the American Revolution, and a member of the Waterproof Garden Club and the Louisiana Cow Belles Association.

Mrs. Miller was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Dalton W. Miller Sr.; and one sister, Lillian Schiele.

Survivors include three sons, Dalton W. (Beth) Miller Jr. of Louisville, Douglas M. (Casey) Miller of Waterproof, La., and Mark M. (Kala) Miller of Vidalia, La.; nine grandchildren, Dalton Miller III, Sara Beth Miller, Douglas Miller Jr., Marie Miller, Dylan Hopkins, Dalton Hopkins, Duncan Miller, Kacie Gill, and Alex Miller; one sister, Judith Brown of Natchez; and a number of other relatives and friends.

Pallbearers are Johnny Roberson, Lyle Miller, Randy Miller, Andy Anders, tommy Nelson, and Keister Dellinger

The family requests that memorial donations be made to Tensas Academy.
