Services for Roger Martin Smith, 39, will begin at 6 p.m. Tuesday at Evangeline Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Michael Champagne officiating. Interment will be in Memorial Lawn cemetery in Parsons, Kan., on Friday.
Visitation will be from 3-10 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
A native of Parsons, Kan., and a resident of Coteau, Mr. Smith died at 2:50 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 29, 2000, at his residence.
Mr. Smith was a sales representative with American Tank Co. in New Iberia and was a former employee with Peabody Tec. Tank in Parsons, Kan.
He is survived by his wife, Angie Ingram Smith of Coteau; his father, Daniel E. Smith of Parsons, Kan.; five daughters, Chelsea and Tara Smith, both of Tulsa, Okla., and Tabitha and Heather Ingram, and Amanda Bennefield, all of Coteau; one brother, Craig Smith of Easton, Md.; three sisters, Sherry Spare of Parsons, Kan., and Lori Smith and Kyra Rouser, both of Lawrence, Kan.
Mr. Smith was preceded in death by his mother, Rosemary Mibeck Smith; and his brother, Allen Smith.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Roger Smith Memorial Fund, First National Bank, P.O. Box 877, Parsons, Kan. 67357.

A resident of Jeanerette, Demarcus died at 8:37 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 8, 2000, at Iberia Medical Center.
Demarcus is survived by his parents, Lema and Diann DeClouet Boutte Jr. of Jeanerette; two brothers, Lema Boutte Charles III and Arthur Charles, both of Jeanerette; and three sisters, Lamona, Alisa F. and Elzina Boutte Charles, all of Jeanerette.
He was preceded in death by this grandmothers, Elzina "Coosie" Goodwin, Aldonia Lockett Charles and Jessie Mae DeClouet, all of Jeanerette; one great-grandmother, Jeffnitia Guillin; and his grandfather, Arthur "Big June" Charles.

Services for Mrs. Ulysses Bouton Sr., 78, the former Laura Aucoin, will begin at 1 p.m. today at David Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Michael Guidry officiating. Entombment will be in the Holy Family Mausoleum.

A native of Iberia Parish and a resident of New Iberia, Mrs. Bouton died at 7:09 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 11, 2000, at Dauterive Hospital.
Mrs. Bouton was a retired cook and seamstress. She was a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, Iberia Rod and Gun Club and New Iberia Boat Club. She loved sewing, cooking, fishing and helping at the nursing home. Mrs. Bouton was very family oriented and her proudest achievements were raising her children and being with her grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
She is survived by five sons, Harold, Howard, Jerald, Jerry and Ulysse Bouton Jr., all of New Iberia; two daughters, Mrs. Dave (Beatrice) B. Landry of New Iberia, and Mrs. Jake (Barbara) B. Positery of Houma; one sister, Esmee Hebert of Jeanerette; 27 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Bouton was preceded in death by her husband, Ulysse Bouton Sr.; her parents, Joseph and Edmonia Broussard Aucoin; her infant daughter, Debra Bouton; her daughter, Jo Ann Bouton Cherry; two brothers, Dozie and Sidney Aucoin; and two sisters, Louise Darcey and Rose Hebert.
Pallbearers will be Harold, Howard, Jerald, Jerry and Ulysse Bouton Jr., and Dave Landry.

ST. MARTIVILLE - Service for Aimee Castille Parker, 47, will begin at 3:30 p.m. Monday at St. Martin de Tours Catholic Church. Interment will be in the St. Michael cemetery in St. Martinville.
Visitation will be from 8 a.m.-10 p.m. today at Pellerin Funeral Home in St. Martinville, which will reopen at 8 a.m. Monday.
Ms. Parker died Friday, Jan. 14, 2000, at her residence in St. Martinville.
She was employed by Dave's Self Service Station, where she worked for the past 15 years. She was a member of Woodmen of the World. A loving mother, grandmother, daughter, aunt, sister and friend, she will be sadly missed.
She is survived by her father, Abel Castille of St. Martinville; her mother, Aimee Borel Castille of St. Martinville; her son, Daniel W. Parker of St. Martinville; daughters, Tiffanie Parker of New Iberia, and Misty Ann Parker of St. Martinville; brother, Avery "Bubba" Castille of Parks; four sisters, Janina C. Savoy of St. Martinville, Gale C. Bonin of St. Martinville, Lecia C. Broussard of St. Martinville and Monica C. Hamlett of Parks; and four grandchildren, Chas A. Boudreaux, Korie Boudreaux, Kalyb Boudreaux and Hanna Ardoin.
She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Dorsey and Lauran B. Borel, andher paternal grandparents, Laurent and Marie T. Castille.

A native of Lafayette and a resident of New Iberia, Mr. Gerard died Sunday, Jan. 16, 2000, at a New Iberia hospital.
He is survived by his fiancŽe, Linda Bourque of New Iberia; one son, Joshua Postoe of New Iberia; two stepsons, Pernell and Joshua Bourque, both of New Iberia; one daughter, Chrystal Watterson of New Iberia; one stepdaughter, Brandy Bourque of New Iberia; four brothers, Rickey, Michael and Greg Gerard, all of New Iberia, and Jerry Gerard of Lafayette; one sister, Cheryl Gerard of Lafayette; and two grandchildren.
Mr. Gerard was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence Joseph and Lena Boutte Gerard.

A native of Delhi and a resident of New Iberia, Mrs. Waguespack died at 1:20 a.m. Monday, Jan. 17, 2000, in New Iberia.
Mrs. Waguespack was the owner and operator of Waguespack Disposal.
She is survived by five daughters, Bonnie Bacle, Silence Duplantis, Mrs. Barry (Vera) LeBlanc, Mrs. Richard (Lucinda) Peltier and Cynthia Waguespack, all of New Iberia; two stepdaughters, Debbie Myers and Judy Terro, both of New Iberia; three stepsons, Donald Waguespack of Lake Arthur, and Gerald and Marshall Waguespack, both of New Iberia; four brothers, August "Bo," Odell and Ozell Ellis, all of West Monroe, and Billy Ray Ellis of Hattiesburg, Miss.; one sister, Rosie Dennison of Sabine Pass, Texas; 25 grandchildren; and 30 great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Waguespack was preceded in death by her husband, Dalton Waguespack; her parents, Tom and Cynthia Johnson Ellis; her son, Lindy Paul Duplantis; her stepson, Keith Waguespack; five brothers, Augustus, Bobby, Carson, G.W. and Larry Jack Ellis; four sisters, Joyce LeBlanc, Ellen Ellis, Elizabeth Rushing and Dora Clark; one grandson, Joshua James Bourque; and one granddaughter, Rhoda Ann LeBlanc.

A native of Pleasant Hill and a resident of New Iberia, Mrs. Shaughnessy died at 9 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 19, 2000, at Iberia Medical Center.
Mrs. Shaughnessy was a retired school teacher. She taught in Pleasant Hill and was a substitute teacher at St. Edward's School. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church and the Eastern Star.
She is survived by her daughter, Pamela S. Brice, and her husband, Tommy E. Brice, of New Iberia; her grandson, Thomas Yancey Brice of Houston; her granddaughter, Polly Brice Davis of New Iberia; and her sister, Betty Katherine Notar of Mojave, Calif.
Mrs. Shaughnessy was preceded in death by her husband, Elmer Shaughnessy; her parents, Clifton and Betty Rembert Bridges; two brothers, Bland and Rembert Bridges; and one sister, Helen E. Bridges.

A native of Loreauville and resident of St. Martinville, Mr. Escoyne died at 10:45 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 20, 2000, at a Lafayette hospital.
Mr. Escoyne was retired from C.F. Bean Dredging Co. of New Orleans after 42 years of employment.
He is survived by his wife, Joe Ann LeBlanc Escoyne of St. Martinville; his mother, Jeanne Rodriguez Escoyne of Catahoula; one son, Vernon Anthony Escoyne of St. Martinville; three daughters, Gwendolyn Escoyne Broussard of New Iberia, Angela Escoyne Guidry of Parks and Yvette Escoyne Bourque of St. Martinville; two brothers, Bernard Escoyne of Henderson and Bennette Escoyne of Breaux Bridge; three sisters, Theresa Escoyne Lasseigne and Gloria Escoyne Daspit, both of Catahoula, and Hazel Escoyne McCorkle of Shreveport; eight grandchildren, Zachary, Lauren and Natalie Broussard, Hillary Escoyne, Beau and Courtney Akers, Naomie Choplin and Tyler Paul Bourque; and one great-grandchild, Elena Escoyne.
He was preceded in death by his father, Anthony Escoyne; and a sister, Ethel E. Leonard.

BATON ROUGE - Services for John Paul Lanclos, 65, will begin at 2 p.m. today at Welsh Funeral Home with the Rev. William Neudahl officiating. Interment will be in Roselawn Memorial Park.

A native of Sunset and a resident of Baton Rouge, Mr. Lanclos died peacefully on Sunday, Jan. 23, 2000, surrounded by his loving family, at his residence.
Mr. Lanclos was a self-employed painter and was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force.
He is survived by his wife, Alice Dorsey Lanclos of Baton Rouge; and two daughters, Dawn L. Neudahl, and her husband, William, of New Orleans, and Cynthia L. Toups, and her husband, Craig, of Baton Rouge.
Mr. Lanclos was preceded in death by his mother, Marie Watson.

Services for Verdy Joseph Touchet Sr., 67, will begin at 11 a.m. Thursday at David and Jacquemoud Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Down officiating. Interment will be in Memorial Park cemetery.
Visitation will continue until the time of services Thursday at the funeral home, which will remain open all night tonight.
A native of Youngsville and a resident of New Iberia, Mr. Touchet died at 7:59 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 25, 2000, at Iberia Medical Center.
Mr. Touchet retired after working as a carpenter for more than 35 years. He worked for Kingston Construction, Magnum Builders and for himself before retiring. He enjoyed playing BoureŽ, fishing, watching wrestling, and listening to country and cajun music. He liked John Wayne and Dolly Parton. The best day of his life was when he married
Esther Landry, whom he enjoyed 38 wonderful years of marriage with. Mr. Touchet was a U.S. Army veteran.
He is survived by one son, Verdy J. Touchet Jr. of Crowley; five daughters, Sheryl "Poulet" Touchet Chanthaphone, Barbara "Bobbie" Touchet Gary, Rebecca "Becky" Hulin, Linda Touchet Romero and Shelia "Peanut" Touchet, all of New Iberia; one brother, Girlie Touchet of New Iberia; 14 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Mr. Touchet was preceded in death by his wife, Esther Landry Touchet; his parents, Clarphie and Esperie Touchet Touchet; two brothers, Eface and Lennis Touchet; and two sisters, Evely Landry and Alice Segura.
