EDNA RYAN
Edna Pauline Webb Ryan, 86, died Tuesday, March 30, 2010 at Morristown Hamblen Healthcare System. She was a member of the Tennessee Nurses Association, Business and Professional Women’s Club, Trinity Methodist Church, the VFW Auxiliary and the First United Methodist Church.
She is survived by a brother, Orland (Georgia) Webb; nephews Donald Webb, Robert (Jennifer) Webb; great nephew Kasey (Melissa) Webb; great-niece Dana (Chuck) Adams, all of Harrodsburg: niece Kristi Webb of Lexington and niece Teresa (Ronnie) Manrose of Ozark, Missouri.
She was preceded in death by her husband Charles Ryan; parents, Ed and Sallie House Webb; brothers, Herman Webb and Raymond Webb.
The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday, April 2 prior to the service at 1 p.m. with the Rev. Chuck Starks officiating. Graveside services will follow at Hamblen Memory Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, Ms. Ryan requested that donations be made in her memory to First United Methodist Church.

DONALD SCROGHAM
Donald Oniel Scrogham, 80, of Berea, formerly of Boyle County, died Saturday March 27i, 2010 in Prospect.
Born December 15, 1929, in Mercer County, he was a son of the late Roy H. and Sue Butler Scrogham. He was the widower of Abbie J. Scrogham.
Donald was a mechanic, having worked for more than 50 years at several dealerships and garages. He was an Army veteran, having served during the Korean War.
Survivors include: his children, Kenneth O. (Sue) Scrogham, Nina M. (Russell) Marcum, Oma J. (James) Perkins, Debbie A. (Danny) Nolan, Sally K. (Bud) Busam and Gilbert (Mary Jo) Mosier; one brother, Wendell (Virginia) Scrogham of FL; several grandchildren; great-grandchildren; and great-great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a son, Phillip G. Mosier.
Funeral services were conducted Tuesday, March 30, at the Wilder Funeral Home in Perryville by Rev. Lonnie Broughton, with burial in Parksville Cemetery. military services were conducted by American Legion Post No. 18.
LYNN THOMAS
Lynn Smock Thomas, 61, of Danville, died Friday, March 26, 2010.
Born June 2, 1948 in Danville, she was the daughter of the late O. E. “Red” and Ruth Hogue Smock. She was a 1966 graduate of Danville High School and a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. She had worked for the Social Security Administration and the Vocational-Rehabilitation Office.
Survivors include her daughter, Stephanie (Jamie) McElroy of Tooele, Utah and a son, Brian Sandusky of Bardstown; two brothers, Kevin Smock and Kerry Smock and 10 grandchildren.
She was predeceased by a sister, Terri Townsend.
A Celebration of Life service was held Wednesday, March 31 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Burial was private.
Memorial donations are requested to the Lynn Smock Thomas Memorial Fund c/o Community Trust Bank.
PAUL BUNTON
Paul R. Bunton, 84, of Nicholasville, died Monday, April 5, 2010 at the Central Baptist Hospital in Lexington.
Born May 7, 1925 in Mercer County, he was the son of the late John T. and Myrtle Irene (Bickers) Bunton. He was a Navy veteran of WWII, serving as a Pharmacist Mate, Seaman 2nd Class on the U.S.S Numitor in the Pacific, 1943-1945. He attended Eastern Kentucky State College on the G.I. Bill and graduated in 1943 with a Bachelor of Science Degree. He was a member of the Bluegrass Kiwanis Club. He retired from the Burroughs Corporation (now Unisys) in 1981, and was a long-time member of the Immanuel Baptist Church in Lexington where he served as Sunday School teacher and Deacon.
Survivors include: his wife of 66 years, Ruth(Garriott) Bunton; a daughter, Paula Bunton of Lexington and a son, John (Linda) Bunton of Nicholasville; a granddaughter, Anna Bunton of Lexington and a brother: James “Harold” (Helen) Bunton of Raleigh, NC.
Funeral services will be 11:30 a.m. Friday, April 9 at the Immanuel Baptist Church with Craig Loscalzo officiating. Burial will be in the Kirkwood Cemetery
in Salvisa.
Pallbearers are: Larry Morris, Jim Stevens, Bob Chepak, John Pittman, Charles Hall and Todd Allen. Honorary Bearers are: Paul Davis, Bob Sheidmantel, Doyle Perry, Dal Berry, Charlie Pearce, Jack Garriott, Bill Warner, Walter Hall and Roy Ricketts
Visitation will be Friday, April 9 from 10 a.m. until the service at the church. Memorials are suggested to the Immanuel Baptist Church or Habitat for Humanity.
CLIFFORD CUNNINHAM
Clifford Thomas Cunningham, 97, of Harrodsburg, died Saturday, April 3, 2010 at the Thomson Hood Veterans Center in Wilmore.
Born Nov. 7, 1912 in Mercer County, he was the son of the late Will and Willie Lea Paris Cunningham. He was a farmer, retired from Hallmack in Harrodsburg and was a U.S. Army Veteran of World War II where he received three bronze stars.
Survivors include: his wife, Bessie Doneghy Cunningham; one son, Clifford Cunningham, Jr. of Lexington; three daughters, Teresa (Bobby) Cunningham-Shrivers of Frankfort, Sheila Tarrance of Lexington and Pamela Humes of Portage, MI; one brother-in-law, James Coleman of Louisville; two sisters-in-law, Mattie Cunningham of Harrodsburg and Lula Miles of Louisville; eight grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, one great-great -grandchild and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Maxine Thacker Cunningham, two brothers, William Morris Cunningham and Robert Lee Cunningham and three sisters, Pauline Robinson, Ona Bell Bartee and Dollie Cunningham.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday, April 8 at St. Peter AME Church with Brother Ralph Smith, Brother Everhart Walker and Brother Fred Hale officiating. Burial will be at Camp Nelson National Cemetery
at 1:30 p.m. with military honors. Visitation will be Wednesday, April 7 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and 9:00 a.m. until time of service Thursday at the church.
Active pallbearers are: Brian Stokes, Justin Stokes, Anthony Shrivers, Dominic Shrivers and Rodney Raley.

HENRY HUFF
Henry Lee Huff, Sr., 76, Second Street, Paris, retired mechanic, husband of Sherry Leonard Huff, died Sunday, April 4, 2010 at Bourbon Community Hospital.
Born Nov. 18, 1933 in Bohon, he was the son of the late Sam and Sarah Gahard Huff.
He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Sherry Huff; three daughters, Sarah Stull, Jennifer Huff and Lori (Tracey) Frederick; a son, Henry Lee Huff, Jr., all of Paris; a brother, Mike Huff and a sister, Annie Huff and eight grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Fred and Harlan Huff.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, April 7, at the Hinton-Turner Funeral Home in Paris with Bro. Sam Campbell officiating. Burial was in Evergreen Memory Gardens. Pallbearers were: Tracey Frederick, Henry Lee Huff, Jr., William Bryant, Mark Isaac, Mike Huff, and A.T. Jacobs.
WILLIAM JARVIS
The Rev. William Maurice Jarvis, 84, of Franklin, TN died on April 4, 2010.
Born in Mercer County, he was the son of the late W. M. and Nellie Jarvis. He was a graduate of McAfee High School, Berea College and the University of Louisville Presbyterian Theological Seminary. He served in the Navy in WWII in the Pacific Theater. As an ordained Presbyterian minister, he served churches in Kentucky, Mississippi and Tennessee.
Survivors include: his wife of 60 years, Mary Margaret Terhune Jarvis; three daughters, Ann (Robert) Lees of Denver, CO, Alice (Charles) Crawford of Memphis, TN and Amy K. Jarvis of Nashville, TN and four grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Lewis and Leonard Jarvis and a sister, Sadie Jarvis Ransdell.
A memorial service will be held Friday, April 9 at 11 a.m. at the First Presbyterian Church in Nashville, TN. In lieu of flowers, memorials should be made to the charity of one’s choice.
HARRY JOHNSON
Harry “Chuck” Johnson, 84, of Harrodsburg, widower of Audrey Caldwell Johnson died Monday, April 5, 2010 at the Leesburg Regional Medical Center in Leesburg, FL.
Born February 8, 1926 in Shelbiana, he was the son of the late Jack and Opal Compton Johnson, he was a WWII veteran of the U.S. Marines, attended the University of North Carolina for three years, a retired traffic controller for Amherst Coal Co. in Logan, WV, and was a member of the Danville Ward Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.
Survivors include: one son, Wayne “Kent” (Barbara) Johnson of Logan, WV; one daughter Lisa (Ron) Kruchinski of Salvisa; one sister Elva Adkins of Deland, FL; four grandchildren, two great-granddaughters and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Audrey C. Johnson, a granddaughter, Amy Johnson, and a sister, Mary Elizabeth Green.
Funeral services will be conducted 11 a.m. Saturday, April 10 at the Danville Ward Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints with Bishop Jeffery Tritapoe officiating. Burial will be in the Spring Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 until 8 p.m. Friday and from 9:30 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. Saturday prior to the service at the church.
Pallbearers will be the grandchildren. Sims Funeral Services in Harrodsburg is in charge of arrangements.
EDDIE PITTMAN
Eddie Ray Pittman, 50, husband of Margaret Fowler Pittman, died Wednesday, March 31, 2010 at his residence.
Born July 6, 1959 in Mercer County, he was the son of the late Andrew C. and Sarah Lyons Pittman. He was a self employed builder until he became disabled. He was a member of The New Beginnings Community Church.
He is survived by two daughters, April (Chad) Troute and Ashley Pittman; two step-daughters, Natasha (Lynn) Davis and Amanda (Nathan) Black; one brother, Caroll (Barbara) Pittman; one sister, Patricia (Bruce) Baker; six grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by one sister, Levita Pittman and two brothers, Leroy and Robert Pittman.
Funeral services were conducted Monday, April 5, at the Alexander and Royalty Funeral Home with Bro. John Kessler and Hughes Jones officiating. Burial was in the Spring Hill Cemetery
with Chad Troute, Andy Griffin, Terry Colvin, Gary Milburn, Nathan Black and Lynn Davis serving as pallbearers. His grandchildren served as honorary pallbearers.
MICHAEL TOWNSEND
Michael Wayne Townsend, 45 of Winchester, husband of Ginger Lee Griffett Townsend, passed away on Tuesday, March 30, 2010 at the UK Medical Center.
He was born in Clark County on July 9, 1964 to Edith Tipton Townsend and the late Otis Townsend.
He was self employed and was a member of the Lighthouse Church of God.
In addition to his wife and mother, he is survived by: two sons, Jonathon Epperson and Robert Dillon Fields, both of Winchester; three daughters, April Jean Townsend and Santana Renee Townsend, both of Winchester and Eden Marie Tiravanti of Richmond; five grandchildren; four brothers, Larry Townsend of Mt. Sterling, Gary Townsend of Harrodsburg, and Roy Townsend and Donnie Townsend of Winchester; and three sisters, Judy Stacy, Debbie Holder, and Teresa York of Winchester.
Funeral services were conducted Friday, April 2, at Scobee Funeral Home in Winchester by Rev. Ryan Dotson. Burial was in Boonesboro Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Roy Townsend, Jr., Cody Townsend, Glenn Townsend, Glen York, Stephen Clem, and Jonathon Epperson.
JANE YANKEY
Jane Moss Yankey, 89, of Perryville, died Thursday, April 1, 2010 in Danville.
Born Feb. 12, 1921 in Mercer County, she was the daughter of the late Sam and Elizabeth Ware Moss and was the widow of J. S. “Red” Yankey. She worked as a seamstress for Cricketeer for 40 years and was a member of the Bethel #1 Cumberland Presbyterian Church.
Survivors include: one brother, Robert L. Moss of Harrodsburg; a daughter-in-law, a granddaughter and two great-grandsons.
She was preceded in death by a son, William Thomas Moore.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, April 5 at the Wilder Funeral Home in Perryville with the Rev. James Byrd officiating. Burial was in the Hillcrest Cemetery. Pallbearers were:Lynn Moss, Stuart Moss, Steve Moss, Terry Young, Billy Joe Hays and Harvey Bottoms. Keith Moss was an honorary pallbearer.
