JAMES CORN
James P. Corn, 60, of Lawrenceburg, died Sunday, March 29, 2009 at his residence.
Born June 6, 1948 in Anderson County, he was son of the late Callie Mildred Drury and Presley K. Corn.
Corn was a former kiln operator with Florida Tile, a member of Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church and attended the Church of God. He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietname War and was awarded the Vietnam Service Medal and Vietnam Campaign Medal.
He is survived by his wife, Tami Joyce Garland Corn; two daughters, Melissa Ann (Steve) Dyer and Sandy Bernice (Jeff) Burgard, all of Lawrenceburg; three sisters, Mildred Rogers, Wanda Davis and Merry Driskell; a brother, C. T. Corn, and eight grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, Corn was preceded in death by a brother, Floyd W. Corn.
The funeral was 1 p.m. Wednesday at Ritchie & Peach Funeral Home with the Rev. Don Carter officiating. Burial with military honors was at the Lawrenceburg Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Marty Hendrix, Bobby Rogers, Dustin Garland, Jason Sutherland, Donnie Byrd, Michael Davidson and Derek Garland.
REGINA ENGLISH
Regina “ Bener” English, 84, of Junction City, died Saturday, March 28, 2009 at her residence.
Born Sunday, March 22, 1925 in Centertown, she was a daughter of the late Alexander and Lucy B. Hamlet Simpson. She was the widow of Ernest “Shag” English.
Mrs. English was a homemaker and loved animals, reading, and gardening.
She is survived by: two sons, Ernest R. English of Junction City and Thomas (Carol) English of Broadhead; five daughters, Lucy Tarkington of Harrodsburg, Nellie (Donnie) Sallee, Donna Clark, Karen English, and Missy Robinson, all of Junction City; two brothers, Frank (Louellen) Simpson of Junction City and Herbert Simpson of Bradfordsville; one sister, Dora Williams of Centertown; 28 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews and special friends.
She was predeceased by a son, Don English, and a daughter, Joyce English.
An Appreciation of Life service was held Wednesday, April 1, at the Preston-Pruitt Funeral Home in Danville with Chaplain Gary Story officiating. Burial was in Junction City Cemetery.
Pallbearers were David Cook, Timmy and Shane West, Cody Robinson, Thomas English, Earl Ray and Eddie Wayne Cox and Lynden Pullum.
Honorary pallbearers were Tabitha English, Kathy (Grace) Brown, Rebecca Moberly, Andy Robinson and Dave Davis.

JAMES GRAVES
James Parker Graves, 77, of Willis Lane, Springfield, died Tuesday, March 24, 2009 at 9:25 p.m. at home.
Born Oct. 18, 1931 he was the son of the late M. C. and Mary Grace Thompson Graves.
He was a Washington County native, a farmer, a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church and Holy Rosary Men’s Club.
He was preceded in death by a step-son, John William Yocum, March 29, 2001, two brothers, Samuel and Clyde “Fuzz” Graves, and one sister, Lucy Anderson.
Survivors include his: wife, Leona Elery Graves, Springfield; two step-sons, Charles David Yocum, and Richard Louis Yocum, both of Springfield; three step-daughters, Mary Josephine Edelen, Harrodsburg, Elizabeth Ann Pendleton, Cleveland, OH, and Martha Joyce Spalding, Louisville; two brothers, Earl Graves and Rufus Graves, both of Springfield; two sisters, Corine Polin, Frankfort, and Mary Elizabeth Polin, Bardstown; 20 step-grandchildren, 37 step-great-grandchildren, and five step-great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were conducted March 30, 2009 at 11 a.m. at the Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Springfield with Rev. Jim Graf and Deacon Gus Cooper officiating.
Burial was in St. Dominic-Holy Rosary Cemetery
in Springfield.
Pallbearers were Andrew Yocum, Richard Yocum, Devin Yocum, Kevin Pendleton, Brian Pendleton, Shawn Spalding, Christopher Spalding, Joseph Mudd, Steven Mudd, Gregery Yocum, John Yocum Jr. and Marcus Potter.
Prayer services were conducted March 29 at 7 p.m. at Hale Polin Robinson Funeral Home, which was in charge of arrangements.
MICKEY RAGLAND
Mickey Ragland, 60, of Glendale, died Saturday, March 28, 2009 at Hardin Memorial Hospital.
He formerly lived in Harrodsburg and Lexington and was a West Hardin High School graduate. He was a member of White Mills Baptist Church and was a counselor at Lincoln Village Treatment Center.
Ragland is survived by his wife, Renee Wright Ragland; a son, Aaron (Cindy) Ragland of Elizabethtown; a daughter, Jessica (Chris) Lowe of Winchester; a sister, Joy Nasados of Denver, CO and four grandchildren.
The funeral was Tuesday at the Brown Funeral Home with Rev. Bruce Underhill officiating. Burial was in the Eastview Baptist Cemetary.
EDDIE SNOW
Eddie Dean Snow, 49, of Stanford, died Tuesday, March 24, 2009 at his home.
He was born Wednesday, May 6, 1959 in Liberty, to the late Robert Snow, Jr. and Edith Patterson Snow.
He was a self-employed carpenter and enjoyed making cabinets and other wood working products. Eddie was a auxiliary member of the American Legion Post #345 and Locust Grove Baptist Church.
He is survived by: his wife, Lagina Moore Snow of McKinney; two sons, Michael Dean (Anastacia) Snow of Charlestown, IN and Edward Dean “D. J.” Snow, Jr. of Stanton, VA; step-children, Gary Lee Kirby of Mt. Vernon and Emily & Katie Kirby of McKinney; his mother, Edith Snow of Stanford; two sisters, Marlene Farmer of Stanford and Jackie (Ron) Gibson of Harrodsburg; and four grandchildren, Karli, Kyle, Kloey & Katelyn Snow.
He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Snow, Jr. and a brother, Jerry Thomas Snow.
An Appreciation of Life service was conducted Thursday, March 26 at the Locust Grove Baptist Church by Bro. Mike Mullins with burial in the K. P. Hall Cemetery.
Michael D. Snow, Russell Gibson, Joey Elmore, James Patterson, Jason Caldwell, Jr. and Nathan Gooch served as the pallbearers.
John Butler, J. R. Kennedy, Michael Sims and Timmy Folger were the honorary pallbearers.
Fox Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
CLAYTON BAXTER
Clayton L. Baxter, 43, husband of Brenda Joyce Lewis Baxter, died Thursday, April 2, 2009 at the Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center in Danville.
Born May 29, 1965 in Harrodsburg, he was the son of Collis “Tucker” Duane Baxter of Danville and the late Patsy Joan Dismuke Baxter. He was a service station attendant at Montgomery Gulf and had formerly worked for Sellers Engineering in Danville. He was a graduate of Boyle County High School.
In addition to his wife and father, survivors include his son, Shane Clayton Baxter of Mercer County; one brother, Audie D. (Tammy) Baxter of Danville; two sisters, Kimberly A. (Johnny) Grubbs of Lancaster and Sherry L. (Arnold Wayne) Carter of Mercer County and several nieces and nephews.
Graveside services were conducted Saturday at the Spring Hill Cemetery
with Chaplain Dale Denton officiating.
Active pallbearers were Carlos Caldwell, John Merriman, Michael Rauenzahn, Jerry Thomas Dismuke, Jim Brock, Johnny Grubbs, Arnold Wayne Carter and Brian Peyton.
Honorary pallbearers were Randy Lewis, Haldon Lewis, John Pike, Dr. Finley Hendrickson, Dr. Mark Spurlin and Dr. Tariq Muhammad.

BRENDA BOWSELL
Brenda Carol Boswell, 64, of Harrodsburg, wife of Brennan Boswell, died Saturday, April 4, 2009 at her home.
Born May 5, 1944 in Harrodsburg, she was the daughter of Mary Rose Hurst Blacketer and the late J. T. Blacketer. She was a retired employee of the KY Department of Abandoned Lands, a member of the Harrodsburg Baptist Church and the Meg Sunday School class.
In addition to her husband and mother, survivors include two sons, Jimmy (Renee) Boswell of Bargersville, IN and Chris (June) Boswell of London; a sister, Mary Ellen Christopher of Montgomery, AL and six grandchildren.
The funeral was conducted Monday at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Wayne Spivey and Dr. Robert DeFoor officiating. Burial was in the Spring Hill Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Brennan Boswell, Jimmy Boswell, Chris Boswell, Paul Blacketer, Bubby Isham and Tommy Hurst.

LILLIAN CHURCH
Lillian Mae Church, 68, wife of Tony Church of Burgin, died Tuesday, March 31, 2009 at the James B. Haggin Memorial Hospital.
Born September 1, 1940 in Lebanon, she was the daughter of the late George Thorton and Dora Bland O’Daniel. She was a clerk for the City of Burgin and a graduate of the Danville Business College.
In addition to her husband, survivors include a daughter, Karen Ryan of Burgin; two brothers, Robert (Betty) Raley and Virgil (Pam) O’Daniel, both of Lebanon; two sisters, Hazel Nalley of Lebanon and Alice (Morris) Tripp of Grifton, NC; two grandsons and several nieces and nephews.
The funeral was Friday at the Alexander & Royalty Funeral Home with Bro. Joe Smith officiating. Burial was in the Burgin Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Jackie Hammons, Jerry Thacker, Wesley Phillips, James Allen Motley, Milton Hammons and Scotty Hammons.

FLORADELL CUNNINGHAM
Floradell Chapman Cunningham, 87, of Lawrenceburg died Friday, April 3, 2009 at Heritage Hall Care Center in Lawrenceburg.
She was the widow of late Harold Thomas Cunningham and was born September 11, 1921 in Anderson County to the late Clarence and Eva Houchin Chapman.
She was a retired chief clerk for the Kentucky Department of Vital Statistics, a member of the Church of Christ in Christian Union of Burgin, the Red Hat Society at Heritage Hall, and the Anderson County Senior Citizens.
Mrs. Cunningham is survived by: two sons, Bruce (JoAnn) Cunningham and James (Edna) Cunningham, both of Lawrenceburg; four grandchildren, Billy (Emily) Cunningham, James Lee Cunningham, Jane Gilkison, Sandra (David) Medley; 10 great grandchildren adn three great-great grandchildren.
Including her husband and parents she is also preceded in death by two sisters, Lena Hostetter and Elberta West and a brother Gilman Chapman.
Funeral service were conducted at 2 p.m. Monday, April 6, at the Ritchie & Peach Funeral Home with Bro. John Hockersmith and Hospice Chaplain Kevin A. Pearce officiating. Burial will follow in the Lawrenceburg Cemetery.
Casket bearers were Billy Cunningham, James Lee Cunningham, David Medley, Justin Carey, Delbert and Thomas West.

CLARA DURHAM
Clara E. Durham, 83, of Stanford, died Thursday, April 2, 2009 at her daughter’s residence in Stanford.
Born March 29, 1926 in Boyle County, she was the daughter of the late Feldon and Lula Jones Owens. Durham retired from Genesco and was a member of Freedom Baptist Church.
Survivors include two daughters, Connie (Donnie Shepperson) Dismuke of Stanford and Patricia (Tommy) Goodlett of Harrodsburg; two sisters, Bert Issac of Ohio and Judy Smock of Harrodsburg and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles H. Durham; two sisters, Edith Owens and Lillian Mulberry and two brothers, Morris and Feldon Owens Jr.
The funeral was Monday at Preston-Pruitt Funeral Home with Bro. Terry Holt officiating. Burial was in Bellevue Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Nick Goodlett, Robby Goodman, Chris Mayes, Brian Castle, Blake Yeager and Donnie Shepperson Jr.
Honorary pallbearers were Bob West, Olen and Dale Issac, Virgil Plummer, William Jackson and Denise Smock.
