She was the daughter of Imogene (Payne) and Calvin Coolidge Nelson of East Bernstadt, Kentucky, and is survived by her husband, Robert Young of Tulsa, Oklahoma.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, November 27, at the Bowling Funeral Home Chapel, with burial to follow in the C.D. Ward Cemetery
at East Bernstadt.

Bill R. Brooks, 44, of Barton Mill Road, Corbin, Kentucky, died Monday,June 16, 2003, at the Manchester Memorial Hospital in Clay County, Kentucky.
Born March 30, 1959, in Cincinnati,Ohio, he was a hospital surgical technician.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Effie Brooks and Willie Brooks.
Survivors include his wife, Gail (House)Brooks of Corbin, Kentucky; his children, Chrystal Roehrich of Keavy, Kentucky, Billy Brooks Jr. and Michael Brooks, both of Corbin, Kentucky; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Romie and Jewell R. House of London, Kentucky; and four grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Thursday, June 19, at the House-RawlingsFuneral HomeChapel with Bro. Kelly Bohannon and Bro.Earnest Sibert officiating.
Burial will follow in the House-Carpenter Cemetery
inJackson County,Kentucky.
Visitation is from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the House-RawlingsFuneral Home.
Betty Whitson Day

Betty Whitson Bennett Day passed away Friday, June 13, in Middletown, Ohio. She was the daughter of the late Virgil and Zella (Nicholson) Whitson, and was preceded in death by her husband, Homer Day.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, June 16, at the Baker Funeral Home in Middletown, Ohio.

Lewis L. Gill, 90, of Lily, Kentucky, died Thursday, June 12, 2003, at the Marymount Medical Center in London, Kentucky.
Born February 22, 1913, in Laurel County, Kentucky, he was retired from the railroad, both L&N and state, was a veteran of the United States Army having served during World War II, and was a member of the First Christian Church of London.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Bessie (Green) Gill and Oscar Gill; a daughter, Emiline Gill; a son, Louie Gill; a brother, Charleston Gill; and three sisters, Pauline Gregory, Veda Christian and Lottie Smith.
Survivors include his wife, Marjorie (Reed) Gill of Lily, Kentucky; a brother, Earl Gill and wife Beverly of London, Kentucky; and a sister, Nancy Jean Etherington and husband Larry of Georgetown, Kentucky.
Funeral services were conducted 11 a.m. Saturday, June 14, at the London Funeral Home Chapel with John Gill officiating.
Burial followed in the Hopewell Cemetery
in Laurel County.
Pallbearers were Coleman Smith, Larry Etherington, Bob Sanders, Tim Melton, Chuck Cissell and J.T. Ohler.
Gary Lynn Hampton

The Rev. Gary Lynn Hampton, 50, of Johnson Road, London, Kentucky, died Saturday, June 14, 2003, at his residence.
Born July 1, 1952, in Laurel County, Kentucky, he was a member of the New Bethel Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Mark Wayne Hampton.
Survivors include his parents, Julia (Minton) Hampton and Jarvis Hampton of Manchester, Kentucky; his wife, Shirley (House) Hampton of London, Kentucky; two daughters, Tammy Dixon and Amy Hampton, both of London, Kentucky; two sisters, Brenda Burchette and Linda Wagers, both of Manchester, Kentucky; three brothers, Jarvis Lymon Hampton and David Hampton, both of London, Kentucky, and Murrell Hampton of Manchester, Kentucky; two grandchildren, Bowan Dixon and Breanna Dixon, both of London, Kentucky; and a beloved niece, Bengail Hammons of London, Kentucky.
Funeral services were conducted at 2 p.m. Monday, June 16, at the London Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Cecil Benge and the Rev. Bobby Burchette officiating.
Burial followed in the Martin Cemetery
in Clay County, Kentucky.
Pallbearers were Jeff Hampton, Brian House, Devon Hedrick, Brandon Hensley, Jonathon Smith, Jason Hampton, Steven Hampton, Russell Minton, and Dewayne Baker. Honorary pallbearer was Gary Hensley.
James Jay Larimer

James Jay Larimer, 67, of Jackson-Fariston Road, London, Kentucky, died Sunday, June 15, 2003, at the St. Joseph Hospital in Lexington, Kentucky.
Born July 1, 1935, in Jefferson County, Pennsylvania , he was retired from Whayne Supply and Pratt Whitney Aircraft, was a veteran of the United States Navy, and was a member of the New Hope Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Catherine (Cribbs) Larimer and Andrew Kenneth Larimer; and a sister, Beverly Huey.
Survivors include his wife, Doris (Harmon) Larimer of London, Kentucky; two daughters, Kimberly Jean Larimer of Lexington, Kentucky, and Pennie Lynn Walker and husband David Glenn of London, Kentucky; a grandson, David Tanner Walker of London, Kentucky; a brother, Kenneth Larimer of Southerton, Ohio; and a sister, Mary Bish of Reynoldsville, Pennsylvania .
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday, June 18, at the London Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Herb Wells and the Rev. Kenny Rogers officiating.
Burial will follow in the Norvell Cemetery
at Fariston, Kentucky, with the local DAV chapter in charge of military honors.
Pallbearers will be John Bill Gibbs, Barry Hart, Russ House, Mike Messer, Larry Lawson and Dale Rogers. Honorary pallbearers are Bobby Goins, Willie Martin and Marvin Harmon.
Beulah Doan Smith

Beulah Doan Smith, 83, of Bullock Road, London, Kentucky, died Thursday, June 12, 2003, at the Marymount Medical Center in London.
Born January 24, 1920, in Harlan County, Kentucky, she was a housewife and member of the Pilgrims Rest Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Bessie (Smith) Thomas and Daniel S. Thomas; her first husband, LaSalie Doan; her second husband, Sam Smith; a daughter, Shirley Doan; a sister, Alice McIntosh; and two brothers, Daniel Thomas and Vincent Thomas.
Survivors include two daughters, Betty Parker and husband Burnam and Phyllis Fields and husband Rick, both of London; a son, Edward Doan and wife Reba of Springfield, Missouri; a sister, Louise Smith of East Bernstadt, Kentucky; 13 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
Private funeral services were conducted by the London Funeral Home with Bro. Eddie Elmore and Bro. Bobby Mullins officiating.
Burial was in the A.R. Dyche Memorial Park at London.
Pallbearers were Roger Parker, Benny Parker, Logan Jones, Kyle Parker, Brooks Jones and Dusty York. Honorary pallbearers were Chad Parker and Landon Jones.
