Roy F. Chesnut, age 94, a retired warehouseman for Sterling Hardware Company, was born on February 12, 1908, in Laurel County, Kentucky, the son of the late George Daniel and Eliza Lovelace Chesnut. He passed away on Tuesday, November 26, 2002, in the Marymount Medical Center in London from natural causes.
His wife, Opal Lee Chesnut, age 88, a retired cook for Sue Bennett College, was born on November 14, 1914, in Laurel County, Kentucky, the daughter of the late Milton and Lula Wilson Homes. She passed away on Tuesday, November 26, 2002, in the Markey Cancer Center in Lexington, Kentucky, from natural causes.
Mr. and Mrs. Chesnut are survived by one son, Don Chesnut and wife, Della, of London, Kentucky; one grandchild, David Chesnut and wife Melissa; and two great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Chesnut is also survived by two brothers, Herman Holmes of London, Kentucky, and John Holmes of Valdosta, Georgia.
Mr. and Mrs. Chesnut were members of the Macedonia United Methodist Church.
Joint funeral services were conducted at noon on Friday, November 29, in the chapel of House-Rawlings Funeral Home with the Rev. Dennis Holmes officiating.
Burial followed in the Chesnut Cemetery.

Estle W. Dugger, 87, of Highway 1232, Gray, Kentucky, died Wednesday, December 4, 2002, at the Baptist Regional Medical Center in Corbin, Kentucky.
Funeral services were held Saturday, December 7, at the Corbin Funeral Home Chapel, with burial following in the Calvary Cemetery.

Lexey Skye Eaton, Colonel Street, Corbin, Kentucky, died stillborn at the Baptist Regional Medical Center in Corbin on Sunday, December 1, 2002. She was the daughter of Bradi (Apgar) and Edward Eaton of Corbin.
Graveside services were held Thursday, December 5, at the Stansbury Cemetery
in Laurel County.
Elvin Elkins

Elvin Elkins, 71, of Cowhouse Road, Lorita, Florida, formerly of Laurel County, Kentucky, died Thursday, November 21, 2002, at the Highlands Regional Medical Center in Sebring, Florida.
Born March 18, 1931, in Laurel County, Kentucky, he was a retired mechanic and veteran of the United States Marine Corps.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Lydia (McKnight) Elkins and Jackie Elkins; and a brother, Worley Elkins.
Survivors include two sons, Tim Elkins of Wauconda, Illinois, and Terry Elkins of Florida; a daughter, Donita Elkins of Chicago, Illinois; two sisters, Ruby Parsley of London, Kentucky, and Clara Sasser of New Haven, Kentucky; 5 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Funeral services were conducted at 1 p.m. Monday, November 25, at the London Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Tim Philpot and Bro. Ernest Blair officiating.
Burial followed in the McKnight Cemetery
in Laurel County.
Pallbearers were Jerry Parsley, Eddie Parsley, Jackie Hall, Michael McKnight, Chris McKnight and Joe McKnight.
Richard Tilman Fegett
Lily, Kentucky

Richard Tilman Fegett, 47, of Happy Hollow Road, Lily, Kentucky, died Saturday, November 23, 2002, at his residence. He was the son of the late Clarence Tilman Fegett and is survived by his mother, Trula Fay (Deweese) Fegett of Lily, Kentucky.
Memorial services will be at a later date. Arrangements are being handled by the Bowling Funeral Home.

Billy C. Feltner, 70, of Hazel Lane, London, Kentucky, died Sunday, November 24, 2002, at the University of Kentucky Medical Center in Lexington, Kentucky.
Born January 14, 1932, in Perry County, Kentucky, he was a disabled veteran having served in the United States Air Force from November 8, 1959, through December 14, 1961, and was a member of the Arthur Ridge Missionary Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Cinda (Crawford) Feltner and William Feltner; three sisters, Dessie Napier, Delphia Wooton and Hester Wooton; and a brother, Hubert Feltner.
Survivors include his wife, Juanita (Morris) Feltner of London, Kentucky; eight children, Linda Boykin, Carol Rains, Troy Feltner, Bobby Feltner, Mary Jones, Saul Daniel Feltner, all of London, Kentucky, Judy Davis of East Bernstadt, Kentucky, and Ruth Ann French of Mexico; a sister, Geneva Caldwell of Keavy, Kentucky; four brothers, Harold Feltner of Red Bird, Kentucky, Bob Feltner of Williamsburg, Kentucky, Loyall Feltner of Berea, Kentucky, and Bert Feltner of Keavy, Kentucky; 29 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday, November 27, at the House-Rawlings Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Frank Hannock officiating.
Burial will follow in the Old Salem Cemetery
in Laurel County.
