Art McQueen, 82, of East Pittsburg Church Road, London, Kentucky, died Sunday, June 9, 2002, at the Marymount Medical Center in London.
Born July 17, 1919, in Clay County, Kentucky, she was a homemaker and member of the Long Branch Pentecostal Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Polly Ann Smith and Wesley Smith; and her husband, Irvin McQueen.
Survivors include three daughters, Martha Rose Baker and Irene Lamb, both of London, Kentucky, and Edna Woods of East Bernstadt, Kentucky; five sons, Jasper “Hammer” McQueen, John McQueen, Leslie McQueen, Walter Ray “Slick” McQueen, and Webb McQueen, all of London, Kentucky; 14 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Wednesday, June 12, at the Bowling Funeral Home Chapel with Phillip Proffitt and Joe McQueen officiating.
Burial will follow in the Wathen Cemetery
at East Bernstadt.
Pallbearers will be Jimmy McQueen, Josh McQueen, Mike McQueen, Scott McQueen, Tim Oakes and Bob Stines.
Patrick C. Morgan

Patrick C. Morgan, 66, of West Laurel Road, London, Kentucky, died Wednesday, June 5, 2002, at the Central Baptist Hospital in Lexington, Kentucky. He was the son of the late Alma and Shafter Morgan, and is survived by his wife, Tennie Morgan of London.
Funeral services were held Saturday, June 8, at the Bowling Funeral Home Chapel, with burial following in the McDaniel Cemetery
in Laurel County.
Edison Parrott

Edison Parrott, 80, of East Laurel Road, London, Kentucky, died Sunday, June 9, 2002, at the Marymount Medical Center in London.
Born September 28, 1921, in Knox County, Kentucky, he was a school teacher, veteran of the United States Army, and member of Providence Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Angeline (Tedders)Parrott and Dr. T.E. Parrott.
Survivors include his wife, Lucille D. (Durham)Parrott of London, Kentucky; a son, Dr. Wayne Parrott of London, Kentucky; a sister, Lola Bolton of London, Kentucky; and three grandchildren, Kevin Wayne, Mary Katherine and Keith Weston.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday, June 12, at the House-Rawlings Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Denvis Rush and the Rev. Gary Kirby officiating.
Burial will follow in the Providence Cemetery
at Bush, Kentucky.
James G. Rogers
Corbin, Kentucky

James G. “Jim” Rogers, 81, of West 16th Street, Corbin, Kentucky, died Wednesday, June 5, 2002, at the Hillcrest Nursing Home. He was the son of the late Bertha (Baird) and Roy E. Rogers, and is survived by his wife, Dorothy (Gentry) Rogers of Corbin.
Funeral services will be 7 p.m. Friday, June 7, at the Corbin Funeral Home Chapel, with burial following in the Pine Hill Cemetery.
Lonnie Gene Sizemore
London, Kentucky

Lonnie Gene Sizemore, 68, of River Road, London, Kentucky, died Saturday, June 8, 2002, at his residence.
Born November 26, 1933, in Clay County, Kentucky, he was a coal operator, a veteran of the United States Army, and a member of the Laurel River Missionary Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Katherine (Philpot) Sizemore and Autho Sizemore.
Survivors include his wife, Pat (Bowling) Sizemore of London, Kentucky; a daughter, Jeannie Sizemore of London, Kentucky; a son, Mark Sizemore of London, Kentucky; a brother, Carl Sizemore of London, Kentucky; and a granddaughter, Amber Williams of London, Kentucky.
Funeral services were conducted at 1 p.m. Tuesday, June 11, at the House-Rawlings Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Calvin Hibbard officiating.
Burial followed in the Whitaker Cemetery.
Beulah Rose Sweet

Beulah Rose Sweet, 64, of Columbus, Indiana, died Friday, June 7, 2002, at her residence. She was the daughter of the late Alphie (Murrell) and Elisha Creech, and is survived by her spouse, Ernest Ray Sweet of Columbus.
Graveside services will be held 2 p.m. Monday, June 10, at the Vernon Cemetery
in Vernon, Indiana, under the direction of the Dove, Sharp and Rudicel Funeral Home in North Vernon, Indiana.
Nora Vaughn

Nora Vaughn, 88, of Falls Street, London, Kentucky, died Tuesday, June 4, 2002, at the Marymount Medical Center in London.
Born May 28, 1914, in Laurel County, Kentucky, she was a housewife and member of the Swiss Colony Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Sarah (Price) Goforth and Preston Goforth; and her husband, Green Vaughn.
Survivors include five daughters, Sarah McQueen, Anna Lee Smith, Nancy Vaughn and Aileen Steelman, all of London, Kentucky, and Edith Nansel of Gerber, California; two sons, Walter Vaughn and Gary Vaughn, both of London, Kentucky; two sisters, Flora Goforth and Maxie Goforth, both of Corbin, Kentucky; two brothers, Cy Goforth and Harlan Goforth, both of London, Kentucky; 10 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday, June 7, at the Vaughn Cemetery
with the Rev. Foster Young officiating.
Burial was conducted under the direction of the House-Rawlings Funeral Home.
