Rev. Virgil Mullins
Minister
The Rev. Virgil Mullins, 73, of Old Crab Orchard Road, Pittsburg, Kentucky, died Thursday, January 24, 2002, at the Marymount Medical Center in London, Kentucky.
Born January 26, 1928, in Laurel County, Kentucky, he was a minister for 40 years. He was founder and pastor of the East Pittsburg Pentecostal Church. He was a Staff Sergeant E-6 in the United States Army serving during Korean War.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ethel (Cornelius) Mullins and Guy Mullins; and a sister, Cora Grimes.
He was united in marriage on May 31, 1945, to the former Juanita R. Tincher, who survives.
Other survivors include a daughter, Rosemary Helton and husband the Rev. Bobby Helton of Pittsburg, Kentucky; a son, Virgil Terry Mullins and wife Jenny Mullins of Pittsburg; two sisters, Beulah Cole of Pittsburg, Kentucky, and Grace House Stuffle of London, Kentucky; two brothers, Bobby Mullins of East Bernstadt, Kentucky, and Elmer Mullins, London, Kentucky; six grandchildren, Robert T. Helton, Stephanie Helton Hoskins, Kimberly Helton Carroll, Virgil DeWayne Mullins, Stacey Mullins Fiechter, and Michael Shawn Mullins; and six great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday, January 27, at the House-Rawlings Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Bobby Helton, the Rev. Bobby Mullins, and the Rev. Jeff Lewis officiating.
Burial followed in the Pittsburg Cemetery
at Pittsburg.
Pallbearers were Rob Helton, DeWayne Mullins, Shawn Mullins, Craig Mullins, Gary House, Bruce House, Billy Harold Cole, and Kenneth W. Cole.
Harold “H.V”. Storm

Harold “H.V.” Storm, 92, departed this life on Thursday, January 24, 2002, in Sweeny, Texas . He was born on December 10, 1909, in Keavy, Kentucky.
He was a longtime farmer widely known throughout his beloved Laurel County. In the 1940s and 1950s, he helped pioneer fertilization techniques for crops grown in southeastern Kentucky.
A lifelong member of the Locust Grove Christian Church, H.V. was an optimist who chose to see the good in everyone, and in all situations. His favorite comment defined his attitude toward life: “Always look on the bright side.”
Mr. Storm was preceded in death by his wife, Delia; his parents, John and Emma, and 12 brothers and sisters.
Mr. Storm is survived by his son Randall Q. Storm and daughter-in-law Myra B. Storm of Sweeny, Texas ; a grandson, Randall Scott Storm of Sweeny, Texas ; and a granddaughter, Cinamon Storm Houston of Dayton, Ohio.
Funeral services for Harold “H.V.” Storm will be conducted at 1 p.m. Wednesday, January 30, at the Locust Grove Christian Church. Brother Marion Parkey and Brother David Maltzan will be officiating. Mr. Storm will be laid to rest beside his beloved wife at the Locust Grove Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home in Corbin on Tuesday evening, January 29, after 6 p.m. He will be at the church from noon until the funeral hour on Wednesday.
The family has entrusted the care of Harold “H.V.” Storm to the Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home.

Beatrice Dingess, 68, of Miller Lane, London, Kentucky, died Monday, January 21, 2002, at her residence. She was the daughter of the late Mattie (Davis) Shoupe and Elisha Shoupe.
Funeral services were held Thursday, January 24, at the House-Rawlings Funeral Home Chapel, with burial in the Locust Grove Cemetery
at Keavy.

Lewis Harlan Hines, 74, of Park Hill Road, Corbin, Kentucky, died Tuesday, January 22, 2002, at the Baptist Regional Medical Center in Corbin. He was the son of the late Freda L. and James Henry Hartshorn, and is survived by his wife, Mary Weddle Hines of Corbin.
Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Friday, January 25, at the Corbin Funeral Home Chapel, with burial following in the Pine Hill Cemetery.

Bert O. Hensley, 74, of Corbin, Kentucky, died Friday, January 18, 2002, at the University of Kentucky Medical Center in Lexington, Kentucky. He was the son of the late Rella (Stewart) and Andrew Hensley, was preceded in death by his first wife, Naomi Hensley, and is survived by his second wife, Chelcie (Smith) Hensley.
Funeral services were held Monday, January 21, at the Grays Baptist Church, with burial following in the Cumberland Memorial Gardens at Lily.
Anna Hopper

Anna Hopper, 80, of Corbin, Kentucky, died Friday, January 18, 2002, at the Baptist Regional Medical Center in Corbin. She was the daughter of the late Mary (Dulling) and Karl Hopper, and was preceded in death by her husband, Troy Hopper.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, January 22, at the Corbin Funeral Home Chapel, with burial following in the Pine Hill Cemetery.
Ernest Neiderman

Ernest Neiderman, 86, of North U.S. Highway 25, East Bernstadt, Kentucky, died Saturday, January 19, 2002, at the Marymount Medical Center in London, Kentucky.
Born July 11, 1915, in Laurel County, Kentucky, he was a coal miner, a veteran serving in the United States Army, and a member of the Trinity Holiness Church in East Bernstadt.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ethel (Reisner) Neiderman and Julius Neiderman; and his wife, Carolyn (Clarkston) Neiderman.
Survivors include four sons, Grant Judd of Lebanon, Ohio, Larry Neiderman of East Bernstadt, Kentucky, Rick Neiderman of London, Kentucky, and Michael Neiderman of Beattyville, Kentucky; three daughters, Jackie Brandenburg and Brenda Neiderman, both of East Bernstadt, Kentucky, and Judy Taylor of London, Kentucky; a sister, Kathleen Key of Indianapolis, Indiana; a brother, Edward Neiderman of Nicholasville, Kentucky; 18 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
Funeral services were conducted at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, January 22, at the Trinity Holiness Church in East Bernstadt with Bro. Mike Carpenter officiating.
Burial followed in the Snuffer Cemetery
at East Bernstadt under the direction of House-Rawlings Funeral Home.
Donna Christine Storms

Donna Christine Storms, 42, of Banner Street, Taylor, Michigan, died Friday, January 18, 2002, at the University of Michigan Hospital in Ann Arbor.
Born October 9, 1959, in Laurel County, Kentucky, she was a Realtor and member of the Taylor Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her father, Milford Allen.
Survivors include her mother, Louella Goforth Allen of East Bernstadt, Kentucky; three sons, Christopher Lee Storms, Matthew Aaron Storms and Timothy “T.J.” James Storms all of Taylor, Michigan; two sisters, Carolyn Davidson and Debbie Pressler, both of East Bernstadt, Kentucky; three brothers, James D. Hart of Manchester, Kentucky, Milford Allen Jr. of Taylor, Michigan, and Michael W. Allen of Lompac, California; three nieces, Lisa L. Johnson and Ashley D. Holt, both of East Bernstadt, Kentucky, and Chrystal Jefferies of Taylor, Michigan; four nephews, Kevin Thompson of East Bernstadt, Kentucky, James B. Hart of Manchester, Kentucky, Mark A. Allen and James M. Allen, both of Taylor, Michigan; a special friend, Jerome Selke of Taylor, Michigan; a great niece, Chelsea Johnson; and a great nephew, Dalton Thompson.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday, January 24, at the London Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Richard Moore and Bro. Mike Carpenter officiating.
Burial will follow in the Potter Cemetery
at East Bernstadt.
Pallbearers will be Randall Bowling, Shane Bowling, Douglas Bowling, Travis Bowing, Robert Lockaby and Kyle Moore.
Visitation will be held after 7 p.m. Wednesday, January 23, at the London Funeral Home.
