Leslie W. Sherwood

Leslie W. Sherwood, 80, of London, Kentucky, died Sunday, April 8, 2001, at the Central Baptist Hospital in Lexington, Kentucky.
Born May 19, 1920, in Long Island, New York, he was had lived in Battle Creek, Michigan, until moving to Lantana, Florida, in 1996, and to London in 1999 to live with his daughter. He was employed by the Grand Trunk Western Railroad for 35 years before retiring in 1983 in a clerical position. He was a member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church, a member of the Senior Citizens Club in London, Kentucky, and enjoyed travel. He and his wife spent much time with their son, William, in New York City and in Europe. His first marriage, to Lois A. (Wright) Sherwood, ended in divorce.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Marian W. (Stanley) Sherwood and Cecil Leslie Sherwood; his second wife, Agnes E. (Fruin) Sherwood, on September 12, 1995, after 45 years of marriage; a son, William C. Sherwood in 1990 in New York City; and a brother, Charles E. Sherwood in 1993.
Survivors include a son, Timothy J. Sherwood of Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio; a daughter, Sandra L. Sherwood of London, Ky.; a sister, Winifred Curtis of Ocala, Fla.; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Thursday, April 12, at the Richard A. Henry Funeral Home in Battle Creek, Michigan, with the Rev. Father John Grathwohl officiating. Burial followed in the Riverside Cemetery
at Bellevue.

Effie E. Felts, 68, of Walnut Drive, London, Kentucky, died Sunday, April 8, 2001, at the Marymount Medical Center in London. She was the daughter of the late Clemmie (Walden) Reed and Bill Short, and was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Felts.
Private funeral services were held under the direction of the House-Rawlings Funeral Home with burial in the Felts Chapel Cemetery
at Corbin, Kentucky.
Jane Dillion Sipple

Jane Dillion Sipple, 94, of Running Fox Circle, Louisville, Kentucky, died Tuesday, April 10, 2001, at her residence.
Born August 7, 1906, in Laurel County, Kentucky, she was a retired teacher for the Laurel County and Jefferson County public school systems, was a member of the First Christian Church of London, Ky., and the First Christian Church of Louisville, Ky.; and was a Silver Sister of the Alpha Delta Kappa Sorority.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Minnie (Hendron) Dillion and Louis Dillion; and her husband, Newell Sipple.
Survivors include a daughter, Anne S. Chambers of Louisville, Ky.; a grandson, Drew Chambers and his wife Angie of Louisville, Ky.; and a great-granddaughter, Lauren Chambers of Louisville, Ky.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, April 13, at the Highlands Funeral home at 3331 Taylorsville Road in Louisville, with burial to follow in the Cave Hill Cemetery.

Oma Mae Green, 90, of Highway 490, East Bernstadt, Kentucky, died Sunday, April 8, 2001, at the Barbourville Nursing Home. She was the daughter of the late Cynthia Mae and William Patton, and was preceded in death by her husband, George Bradley Green.
Graveside services were held Tuesday, April 10, at the Landrum Cemetery
in East Bernstadt under direction of Bowling Funeral Home.
Mary Elizabeth Lickliter Lambert
Mary Elizabeth Lickliter Lambert, 80, of Knox County, Kentucky, died Wednesday, April 4, 2001. She was the daughter of the late Nila (Hammons) and James Timothy Lickliter, and is survived by her husband, Theodore Lambert.
Funeral services were held Sunday, April 8, at the Hopper Funeral Home Chapel with burial following in the Faulkner Chapel Cemetery.
Teresa K. Moses
Teresa K. Moses, 44, of Gray, Kentucky, died Thursday, April 5, 2001, at the Baptist Regional Medical Center in Corbin, Kentucky. She was the daughter of Nola (Ridener) Helton and the late Cecil Helton.
Funeral services were held Sunday, April 8, at the Corbin Funeral Home Chapel with burial following in the Grays Cemetery.

Ethel Anderson, 78, of Richmond, Indiana, died Sunday, April 8, 2001, in Richmond, Ind. She was the daughter of the late Angie (Mullins) and Charley French, and was preceded in death by her husband, Amos Anderson.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, April 12, at the Stegall-Berheide-Orr Funeral Home in Richmond, Indiana, with burial following in the Earlham Cemetery. Visitation is from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday, April 11, at the funeral home.

Rupert O. Rush, 75, of Parkside Road, London, Kentucky, died Wednesday, April 4, 2001, at the Marymount Medical Center in London.
Born January 30, 1926, in Laurel County, Kentucky, he was a former television cable company owner and operator, a 13 1/2-year veteran of the U.S. Navy serving during World War II, a member of the Fariston United Baptist Church, the McKee Masonic Lodge, and the Bush Masonic Lodge.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Minnie (Jones) Rush and Millard Rush.
Survivors include his wife, Helen Joyce (Whitaker) Rush of London, Ky.; a daughter, Brenda McFarland and husband John of London, Ky.; a son, Anthony Rush and wife Arlene of London, Ky.; a brother, Edward Rush of London, Ky.; a sister, Mildred Smith of London, Ky.; and two grandchildren, Leah McFarland and Todd McFarland, both of London, Ky.
Funeral services were held Friday, April 6, at the Bowling Funeral Home Chapel with Terry Amburgey officiating. Burial followed in the Rough Creek Cemetery
at London.

Junior Mullins, 72, of Castle Hill Road, East Bernstadt, Kentucky, died Thursday, July 5, 2001, at the Marymount Medical Center in London, Kentucky. He was the son of the late Martha (Durham) and Rollie Mullins, and is survived by his wife, Betty (Stark) Mullins of East Bernstadt.
Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Monday, July 9, at the Bowling Funeral Home Chapel, with burial following in the River Hill Cemetery
at East Bernstadt.

Robert D. Lindy, 61, of Lake View Drive, Williamstown, Kentucky, formerly of Laurel County, died Monday, July 2, 2001, at the St. Elizabeth Medical Center in Williamstown. He was the son of the late Margaret (Yates) and Robert G. Lindy, and is survived by his wife, Donna (Reid) Lindy of Williamstown.
