OWENSBORO -- Berry Coons, 82, formerly of Yelvington, died Tuesday, Feb. 12, 2002, at Leisure Years Nursing Home here.
He was a member of Hawesville Baptist Church and loved UK basketball.
Survivors include two sisters, Lucille Lambert of Henderson and Mary Ruth Capps of Sacramento, Ky.; nieces and nephews.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Glenn Funeral Home Chapel in Owensboro. Burial will be in Memory Gardens Cemetery
in Hawesville.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday and after 10 a.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Clarence Keller
PROVIDENCE - Clarence W. Keller, 96, died Tuesday, Feb. 12, 2002, at Shemwell Nursing Home.
He retired from the Internal Revenue Service and had been a teacher.
Surviving is his brother, Noah Joe.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Townsend-Jones Funeral Home, burial in White Oak Cemetery. Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. today.
Minnie Mason
MORGANFIELD - Minnie Merle Mason, 93, died Feb. 12, 2002, at Methodist Hospital in Union County.
She had been a teacher and organist.
Surviving are a daughter, Judy Horrell; two sons, John and Bob; and seven grandchildren.
Services will be at 1 p.m. on Friday at Morganfield Christian Church, burial in Odd Fellows Cemetery.
Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. Thursday and from 10 a.m. to service time at Whitsell Funeral Home.

HENDERSON - Clinton R. McRoy, 57, died Monday, Feb. 11, 2002, at Redbanks Nursing Home.
Surviving are two daughters, Connie Moore and Cathy Lawless; a son, Clinton R. Jr.; a half sister, Donna Mae Stone; a brother, Don; and four grandchildren.
Arrangements are pending with Tapp Funeral Home.
Mary Lou Proctor
CORYDON - Mary Lou Proctor, 69, died Tuesday, Feb. 12, 2002, at Owensboro Mercy Health System.
Surviving are her husband, Robert; four sons, Rev. Stephen D., Mark, John and Dale; a sister, Estelle Zint; a brother, Charles Stiller Jr.; and nine grandchildren.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Rudy-Rowland Funeral Home, burial in Fernwood Cemetery.
Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. today, with an Eastern Star service at 7 p.m., and until service time.

SLAUGHTERS - Powell D. Rakestraw, 78, died Monday, Feb. 11, 2002, at his home.
He was a farmer.
Surviving are his wife, Mary; two daughters, Ann Leggett and Sandra Olson; two sons, Powell Jr. and Terry E.; a sister, Tina Lee; and eight grandchildren.

MADISONVILLE - Emma Virginia (Hart) Slaton, 81, died Tuesday, Feb. 12, 2002, at her home.
She had worked for a furniture factory.

OWENSBORO - Martha VanWinkle West, 65, died Tuesday, Feb. 12, 2002, at her home.
Surviving are three sons, Kevin, Tim and Jerome; three sisters, Helen Onstott, Betty Miller and Patty Fitzgerald; four brothers, Bill, Russell, Joe and Phillip VanWinkle; and six grandchildren.

SUMNER - Ruth M. Ledeker, 93, died Monday, Feb. 11, 2002, at CLC Care Center.
She had worked at the shoe factory in Olney for 40 years.
Surviving is a son, Charles Marx.
