James Cobb Sr.
HENDERSON - James Robert Cobb Sr. 73, died Monday, Feb. 18, 2002, at his home.
Surviving are his wife, Nora Katherine; three daughters, Janice Cobb, Phillis Moseley and Anita Gerton; a son, James Robert Jr.; three brothers, Chester, Omer and D.W.; and seven grandchildren.
Services 10 a.m. Thursday at Tapp Funeral Home, burial in Little Zion Cemetery
in Dixon. Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. today and after 8 a.m. Thursday.
James Humphrey Powell
James Humphrey Powell, 81, Little Dixie, died at 12 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 19, 2002, at Methodist Hospital.
He was a deacon of Union Hill General Baptist Church in Little Dixie. He was a farmer and had worked for the State of Kentucky for 12 years. He was also retired from the Henderson County School System Maintenance Department.
Survivors include his wife of 51 years, Ellen Sue Powell; one daughter, Joy Powell Wright of Henderson; one son, Steven Wayne Powell of Little Dixie; and four grandchildren.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Tapp Funeral Home. The Revs Bob Fulcher, Richard Snyder and Fred Whitmore will officiate. Burial will be in Fairmont Cemetery.
Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. Thursday and after 8 a.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to Union Hill General Baptist Church or St. Anthony's Hospice.
Jack Willett
UNIONTOWN -- Jack Willett, 62, Uniontown, died at 1:10 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 19, 2002, at Morganfield Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
He was a member of St. Agnes Catholic Church in Uniontown and Knights of Columbus. He was retired from Peabody Coal Company.
Survivors include his wife of 39 years, Pat Willett; one daughter, Jenny Horton of Huntsville, Ala.; three sons, Keith Willett, Eric Willett and Chris Willett, all of Uniontown; one sister, Faye Rhoades of Owensboro; three brothers, Eddie Willett of Morganfield, Lark Buckman of Tell City, Ind., and Matt Buckman of Atlanta; and seven grandchildren.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Agnes Catholic Church in Uniontown. The Rev. Charles Fischer will officiate. Burial will be in St. Agnes Cemetery.
Friends may call from 3 to 8 p.m. today and until service time Thursday at Whitsell Funeral Home in Morganfield, where prayers will be said at 5:30 p.m. today.
Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to Alzheimer's Association.
Arlyn Jenkins
WHITE PLAINS - Arlyn Edward Jenkins, 68, died Sunday, Feb. 17, 2002, at Madisonville Regional Medical Center.
He was a floor maintenance worker at Kentucky Rest Haven.
Surviving are his wife, Audrey; four daughters, Meneisa Jenkins, Peggy Masoncup, Janice Poe and Mary Conrad; three sons, A.J. Jenkins and Sherman and Carroll Conrad; a sister, Shirley McGinnis; two brothers, Jerry and Cleatus; and 15 grandchildren.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Reid-Walters Funeral Home in Earlington, with burial in Oakley Home Cemetery
in Manitou. Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. today and from 9 a.m. to service time.
James Johnson
WAVERLY - James David Johnson, 78, died Monday, Feb. 18, 2002, at Deaconess Hospital in Evansville.
He operated the Waverly Barber Shop.
Surviving is a brother, Richard "Wee" Johnson.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Peter Catholic Church, with burial in St. Ann Cemetery
in Morganfield, Ky.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today and until service time at Whitsell Funeral Home in Morganfield.
Doris Moore
MARION - Doris Jane Moore, 63, died Sunday, Feb. 17, 2002, at her home.
Surviving are four daughters, Martha Stinnett, Nancy Lampert, Patsy Luebbehusen and Donna Seay; two sisters, Patsy Hutchcraft and Iva Roll; a brother, Tommy Franklin; and 11 grandchildren.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Gilbert Funeral Home, with burial in Union Cemetery. Friends may call after 5 p.m. today.
Rita Morgan
MADISONVILLE - Rita J. (Thompson) Morgan, 73, died Saturday, Feb. 16, 2002, at Madisonville Regional Medical Center.
She co-owned Morgan's Harley Davidson and Golf Care Sales.
Surviving are two daughters, Paula Crowley and Penny Thien; two sisters, Janet Kienzle and Melissa Young; four brothers, James, Michael, Howard and Wilford Thompson.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Church of Latter Day Saints, with burial in Odd Fellows Cemetery.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Barnett-Strother Funeral Home and after 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the church.

Kenton Nonweiler
OWENSBORO - Kenton Wesley Nonweiler, 41, died Sunday, February 17, 2002, in Owensboro.
Kenton was born in Evansville,
was the owner of AAA Seamless Gutters Inc., a member of Mary Magdalene Catholic Church and enjoyed being with his boys, four-wheeling, going with them to motorcycle races and being with them in the outdoors.
Survivors include his wife, Jennifer Williams Nonweiler; three sons, Dylan Wesley, Dalton Alexander and Joseph Drake Nonweiler, all at home; his parents, Don and Kathy Nonweiler of Owensboro; and two sisters, Lisa Kamuf of Owensboro and Kandace Riebel of Brookfield, Wis.
Services are 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Church in Sorgho, burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery.
Visitation is from 2 to 8 p.m. today, where prayers will be said this evening at Glenn Funeral Home, and from 9 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Lee Patterson
MADISONVILLE - Lee Roy Patterson, 67, died Sunday, Feb. 17, 2002, at Madisonville Regional Medical Center.
He had been a heavy equipment operator for Badgett Mine Stripping and a driller for Caney Creek Coal.
Surviving are his wife, Debbie; two daughters, Cindy Larkins and Jayme Duncan; a son, Roger; two sisters, Norma Knight and Louvena Bell; a brother, Jewell; and four grandchildren.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Greater Lighthouse Pentecostal Church, with burial in Olive Branch Cemetery
in Hanson, with military rites.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Barnett-Strother Funeral Home and after noon Wednesday at the church.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Greater Lighthouse Scholarship Fund.
Emma White
MARION - Emma Hargroves White , 87, died Sunday, Feb. 17, 2002, at Crittendon County Convalescent Center.
There are no immediate survivors.
Graveside services will be at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday in Locust Hill Cemetery
in Evansville.
