Marian Davis
MADISONVILLE — Marian Florisa Davis, 96, of Tucson, Ariz., formerly of Nebo, died Thursday, Nov. 1, 2001, in Tucson.
Surviving are three sons, Thomas J. Davis of Tucson, James William Davis of Momita, Calif., and Edward Johnke of Chicago; two sisters, Helen Elvoree Peyton of Charleston, S.C., and Sybil Hart of Iron Mountain, Mich.; eight grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
Her husband, Jefferson N., died in 1972.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Sunday at Harris Funeral Home, with burial in Silent Run Cemetery
near Rabbit Ridge.

Georgia Welch
CALHOUN — Georgia Inez Welch, 86, formerly of Livermore, died Thursday, Nov. 1, 2001, at Owensboro Mercy Health System.
She was a Methodist and played the piano.
Surviving is a son, Chester Jr.
Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. today in the Calhoun Cemetery. There will be no visitation at Muster Funeral Homes Calhoun Chapel.
Hazel Divine
MORGANFIELD -- Hazel Divine, 81, Morganfield, died at 3:45 a.m. Friday, Nov. 2, 2001, at Methodist Hospital in Morganfield.
She was a member of the land acquisition committee that acquired land for Camp Breckinridge and later worked there. She also worked for the Union County Court Clerk's office of John M. Syers, Custom Feed Mill and Kurtz Auction Realty Company. She had retired from Bickett Equipment Company.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert G. Divine, who died in 1970.
Survivors include one son, Robert K. Divine of Morganfield; one brother, Oscar Kendall of Jonesboro, Ind.; two grandchildren; and one nephew.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Whitsell Funeral Home in Morganfield. Bro. Sam Belo will officiate. Burial will be in Boxville Cemetery
in Union County.
Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. today and after noon Sunday at the funeral home.
Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to Walnut Grove Church of Christ or St. Anthony's Hospice.
Rubye M."Grandma Rubye" Sartore
EVANSVILLE -- Rubye M. "Grandma Rubye" Sartore, 80, died of a heart attack at 12:15 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 1, 2001, at her home here.
She had been employed at Servel and retired from Arkla Manufacturing. A member of Oak Hill Baptist Church, she enjoyed gardening, cooking, sewing and reading the Bible.
She was preceded in death by her son, Rick Skelton, who died in 1996.
Survivors include two sons, Steve Hape and Gary Hape, both of Killen, Ala.; nine grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 3 p.m. today at Alexander Memorial Park Chapel in Evansville. The Rev. Glen Flowers will officiate. Entombment will be in Alexander Memorial Park Mausoleum.
Friends may call from after noon today at Alexander Memorial Park Chapel.
Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to Oak Hill Baptist Church.

Sandy Wooldridge
EARLINGTON - Sandy Lee (Copeland) Wooldridge, 35, died Tuesday, Oct. 30, 2001, at Madisonville Regional Medical Center of heart failure. She was a dialysis patient.
She taught third grade at the Earlington Elementary School for 10 years and was the coordinator of the extended school program.
She was a 1983 graduate of West Hopkins High School and earned her master's degree from Murray State University.
She was a member of Mount Zion Missionary Baptist Church, the senior choir and former youth director.
Surviving are her husband, Bruce; her mother, Christine Copeland of Earlington; three sisters, Cheryl Baker of Evansville and Mary Lois Copeland and Linda Harris, both of Owensboro; four brothers, Samuel and Robert Copeland, both of Evansville, James Copeland of Providence and Horace Copeland Jr. of Bowling Green; and nieces and nephews.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Mount Zion Missionary Baptist Church, with burial in Oakwood Cemetery.

Mary Hammack
MORGANFIELD - Mary Virginia OGinO Hammack, 51, of Chicago, formerly of Sturgis and Morganfield, died Monday, Oct. 15, 2001, at her home of cancer.
Surviving are a daughter, Twila Hammack of Chicago; three sons, Keith Hammack of Chicago and Isiah and Julian Spencer of Chicago; two sisters, Carrie Johnson and Sylvia Jones, both of Chicago; a brother, Hubert Archer of Henderson; six grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
Memorial services will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at Carr's Chapel Baptist Church in Morganfield, with burial in New Salem Cemetery
in Sturgis. There will be no visitation at Mason & Sons in Morganfield.
Cassie Crowley
SLAUGHTERS - Cassie Townsend Crowley, 90, died Wednesday, Oct. 30, 2001, at Madisonville Regional Medical Center of heart failure.
She was a 42-year member of Mount Gilead General Baptist Church.
Surviving is her husband of 68 years, Otto.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Tompkins Funeral Homes Slaughters-Hanson Chapel, with burial in the family plot in Slaughters Cemetery.

Arthur Robinson
HENDERSON - Arthur P. ORobbyO Robinson, 73, died Thursday, Nov. 1, 2001, at Deaconess Hospital in Evansville. The cause of death is pending autopsy results.
He retired from the Evansville Courier and Press, was a World War II Navy veteran and member of Abundant Life Worship Center.
Surviving are his wife of 53 years, Amy; a daughter, Carolyn Sommers of Henderson; a son, Ron of Henderson; and nieces and nephews.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Rudy-Rowland Funeral Home, with burial in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.

James Beaton
CALHOUN - James H. Beaton, 80, died Tuesday, Oct. 30, 2001, at Riverside Manor Health Care Center.
He had been self-employed, was a World War II Navy veteran and Catholic.
Surviving are nieces and nephews.

James Alexander
MARION - James Francis Alexander, 75, died Sunday, Feb. 17, 2002, in Tucson, Ariz.
He was president of A&K Insulation and Sheet Metal Co.
Surviving are a son, Marc; and three sisters, Mary Irene Croft, Martha Dixon and Sarah Ford.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Piney Fork Cumberland Presbyterian Church, burial in Piney Fork Cemetery, with military rites. Friends may call from 11 a.m. to service time.
