Ruth Kirkwood
NEBO - Ruth Ellen (Jones) Kirkwood, 98, died Thursday, Nov. 22, 2001, at NHC Health Care Center in Dawson Springs.
She was a 50 year member of Eastern Star and a member of Silent Run Baptist Church.
Surviving are a son, Dr. James B. of Crystal River, Fla.; two grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Alvin Kirkwood, in 1995, and by a son.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Beshear Funeral Home, with burial in New Beulah Cemetery.
Friends may call from 4 to 9 p.m. Monday and from 9 a.m. to service time at the funeral home, with an Eastern Star service at 7 p.m. Monday.
Christian James Large
Christian James Large, 9-day-old infant son of James and Kristie Large of Henderson, died at 3:12 a.m. Friday, Nov. 23, 2001, at Norton Suburban Hospital in Louisville.
In addition to his parents, survivors include his grandparents, Alice and Will Robinson, George Edward Large, and Linda Large, all of Henderson, and Norman O'Bryan of Eddyville; his great-grandparents, Louise Goodley and Marlin Mathis, both of Henderson, and Byron and Joanne Bullock of Evansville; and his great-great-grandmother, Mary Moody of Mount Carmel, Ill.
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
There will be no visitation.
Rudy-Rowland Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Belvie Whitehouse
Belvie Whitehouse, 81, Henderson, died at 9:45 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 22, 2001, at Methodist Hospital.
He enjoyed working on and repairing lawn mowers. He retired from Red Spot Paint in Evansville after 31 years of service. He was also a World War II U.S. Army veteran.
He was preceded in death by one daughter, Betty Jo Meyer, who died in 1995.
Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Dorothy L. Whitehouse; one daughter, Margaret F. Davis of Henderson; four brothers, Jerry Whitehouse, Bobby Whitehouse, Joe Whitehouse and Jackie Whitehouse, all of Central City; three grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Monday at Benton-Glunt Funeral Home. The Revs. Linda Whitehouse and Bill Penrod will officiate. Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
Friends may call from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday and after 9 a.m. Monday at the funeral home.
Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to the Parkinson's Disease Foundation.
Gerri Beasley
Gerri Beasley, 68, Henderson, died of liver failure Thursday, Nov. 22, 2001, at her home.
She was an assistant for her husband's private counseling practice.
Survivors include her husband of 34 years, Paul Beasley; two sons, Kirk Beasley and Matt Beasley, both of Evansville; one sister, Ruby O'Brien of Canada; one brother, Roy Garland of Canada; and one half-sister, Dorothy Coddling of Canada.
There will be no services.

Georgie L. Norman
PROVIDENCE -- Georgie L. Norman, 88, Providence, died at 11:51 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 21, 2001, at Methodist Hospital in Henderson.
She was a housewife and a member of Matrons Auxillary. She was also a choir member and past president of the choir at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Theodore S. Norman, who died Sept. 21, 1981.
Survivors include two daughters, Rose McNary of Providence and Gaylor Randolph of Indianapolis; one son, Thomas Norman of Providence; one sister, Margaret Hawkins of Providence; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Monday at Townsend-Jones Funeral Home in Providence. The Rev. James Brasher will officiate. Burial will be in Cumberland Hill Cemetery
in Providence.
Friends may call after 11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home.
William Burton Sale Sr.
COMMISKEY, Ind. -- William Burton Sale Sr., 63, Commiskey, formerly of Sturgis, died at 11:05 a.m. Friday, Nov. 23, 2001, at St. Vincent Jennings Hospital in North Vernon, Ind.
He was a furniture decorator. He graduated from Sturgis High School and enjoyed sports, playing guitar and singing. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force.
He was preceded in death by one son, Michael Wayne Sale.
Survivors include one daughter, Mary Lou Russellburg of Commiskey; one son, William Sale Jr. of Smith Mills; one brother, Ronald Sale of Sturgis; and four grandsons.
Private graveside services will be held at a later date at Fairmont Cemetery
in Henderson.
There will be no visitation.
Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to Rescue 20.

Roy Alessi
HENDERSON - Roy E. Alessi, formerly of Philadelphia, died Wednesday, Nov. 21, 2001, at Methodist Hospital.
He retired as a mechanical engineer from Philadelphia Electric and was a gourmet cook and woodworker.
He was a member of St. John's Baptist Church in Philadelphia. He was a Mason and a past master.
Surviving are his wife, Estelle Evans Alessi; a daughter, Marie Zawinsky of Punta Gorda, Fla.; two stepdaughters, Elecia Lewis of Franklin, Tenn., and Carolyn Broder of San Marino, Calif.; two stepsons, John D. Evans of Ocala, Fla., and Charles A. Evans of Henderson; three brothers, Andy Alessi of Media, Pa., James Alessi of Berwick, Pa., and Albert Trease of Sacramento, Calif.; two grandchildren, Debbie French and Roy Ernest Zawinsky; and nieces and nephews.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Rudy-Rowland Funeral Home, with burial in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
Friends may call from 11 a.m. to service time at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to First United Methodist Church of Henderson or his church.
Nell Marshall
PRINCETON - Nell Rose (Vickrey) Marshall, 79, died Thursday, Nov. 22, 2001, at Princeton Health Care Manor of heart failure.
She was a member of Fairview Missionary Baptist Church in Caldwell County.
Surviving are her husband, Oscar Marshall; four daughters, Barbara Meeks, Nini Bower, Becky Wagner and Hilda Rogers, all of Princeton; two sons, Tom of Princeton and Allen of Eddyville; a sister, Ruth Vickrey of Princeton; 13 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday in Princeton Memorial Gardens.

Emma Herron
CLAY - Emma Francis Herron, 81, died Tuesday, Nov. 20, 2001, at Methodist Hospital in Henderson.
She was a member of First General Baptist Church of Clay for more than 50 years.
Surviving are a son, Thomas E. of Dixon; two sisters, Carrie Dehaven of Clay and Anna Sue Winstead of Evansville; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, George Herron, in 1976.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at First General Baptist Church, with burial in Oddfellows Cemetery.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Vanover Funeral Home and from 9 a.m. to service time at the church.
