Joe Earl Farley
Joe Earl Farley, 65, Henderson, died at 9:26 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 24, 2001, at his home.
He was a member of Zion Baptist Church and a charter member of the Henderson County Lions Club. He was past President of Farm Bureau, director of the Green River Pork Producers Association, and was a member the 4-H Cooperative Extension Board, for which he also served as a volunteer leader. He was also a member of Elks Lodge No. 206.
Survivors include his wife of 45 years, Judy Farley; three sons, Franklin E. Farley of Henderson, Byron L. Farley of Alexandria, Ky., and Jon S. Farley of Robards; two sisters, Judy Duncan and Nancy Garrard, both of Henderson; six grandchildren; two stepgrandchildren; one great-grandchild; one stepgreat-grandchild; nieces and nephews.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Zion Baptist Church. The Revs. Eddie Davis, Dan Garland and Jeff Coursey will officiate. Burial will be in Fernwood Cemetery.
Friends may call from 2 to 9 p.m. today at Benton-Glunt Funeral Home and after 9 a.m. Monday at the church.
Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to Zion Baptist Church.
Pallbearers will be Fielding Williams, Harry Bennett, Don Adkins, Phillip Vaughan, Steve Overton, Ollie Williams, Buddy Boswell, Megan Farley, J.T. Farley, Addie Farley, Adam Farley, Ryan Farley, and Brennan Farley.
Dorothy Lee Cummins
Dorothy Lee Cummins, 77, Henderson, died at 6:15 p.m. Monday, Nov. 19, 2001, at Methodist Hospital.
She was a member of Beals Pentecostal Church and Christ Temple Church in Evansville.
Survivors include one son, Tony Davis Sr. of Boonville, Ind.; and five grandchildren.
Private services will be held at a later date. The Rev. Ralph Chaney will officiate.
There will be no visitation.
Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to Beals Pentecostal Church.
Benton-Glunt Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
John W. Hite
MORGANFIELD -- John W. Hite, 84, Morganfield, died at 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 24, 2001, at Wellington Parc in Owensboro.
He was a member of St. Agnes Catholic Church in Uniontown and a retired farmer.
Survivors include his wife, Dean Hite; three stepdaughters, Lisa Ronemous of Osage City, Kansas, Lynn Langone of Cranford, N.J., and Lori Ackerson of Louisville; one stepson, John Vansickle of Louisville; two sisters, Agnes Stevens of Bedford, Mass., and Julia Joseph of Prattville, Ala.; and seven stepgrandchildren.
Services are pending at Whitsell Funeral Home in Morganfield.
Sidney Blandford
OWENSBORO - Sidney Jo (Rowland) Blandford, 63, died Wednesday, Nov. 21, 2001, at Owensboro Mercy Health System of apparent heart failure.
She was a certified Oncology LPN for Owensboro Mercy Health System for six years, taught basic cardiac life support classes and was a certified EMT.
She was a 44 year member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, where she was a former member of Lourdes Altar Society and served as a Eucharistic Minister to the sick, was a member of Auxiliary Legion of Mary and served as music minister.
She enjoyed crafts, cooking and playing board games and the electric keyboard.
Surviving are her husband of 44 years, Lloyd R. "George" Blandford; two daughters, Lori McDaniel and Joy Hinton, both of Owensboro; four sons, Tim, Ronnie and Keith, all of Owensboro, and Chris of Beaver Dam; a brother, William D. "Bill" Rowland of Owensboro; eight grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
Services will be at 1 p.m. today at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, with burial in Resurrection Cemetery.
Friends may call from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. today at Haley-McGinnis Funeral Home.

Belvie Whitehouse
HENDERSON - Belvie Whitehouse, 81, died Thursday, Nov. 22, 2001, at Methodist Hospital.
He retired from Red Spot Paint in Evansville after 31 years.
He was a World War II Army veteran.
He enjoyed working on and repairing lawn mowers.
Surviving are his wife of 50 years, Dorothy L. Whitehouse; a daughter, Margaret F. Davis of Henderson; four brothers, Jerry, Bobby, Joe and Jackie, all of Central City; three grandchildren, Jeff Meyer and Amy and Bobby Davis; and nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Betty Jo Meyer, in 1995.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Monday at Benton-Glunt Funeral Home, with burial in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
Friends may call from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday and from 9 a.m. to service time at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Parkinson's Disease Foundation.
Rose Furjanic
PRINCETON - Rose Furjanic, 78, died Friday, Nov. 23, 2001, at Jennie Stuart Medical Center in Hopkinsville of heart failure.
She was a member of St. Paul Catholic Church.
Surviving are three daughters, Lucy Spencer of Troy, Va., Anna Ray of Princeton and Rita Grant of Florence; a son, Joe of Basehor, Kan.; a sister, Kamil Pocernich of Chicago; eight grandchildren, Matt and Melanie Furjanic, Josh, Jesse and Mary Rachael Ray and Katie Rose, Jessica and Greg Grant Jr.; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Sylvester "Joe" Furjanic, in 1999.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at St. Paul Catholic Church, with burial in Cedar Hill Cemetery.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Morgan's Funeral Home, with a rosary service at 6 p.m.

Georgie Norman
PROVIDENCE - Georgie L. Norman, 88, died Wednesday, Nov. 21, 2001, at Methodist Hospital in Henderson. She was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church, where she was involved in the Matron's Auxiliary and was a member and past president of the choir.
Surviving are two daughters, Rose McWary of Providence and Gaylor Randolph of Indianapolis; a son, Thomas of Providence; a sister, Margaret Hawkins of Providence; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Theodore S. Norman, in 1981.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Monday at Townsend-Jones Funeral Home, with burial in Cumberland Hill Cemetery.

MARION - Annie Fritts, 83, of Hickory, formerly of Marion, died Tuesday, Nov. 20, 2001, at Jackson Purchase Medical Center.
She was a 1976 graduate of Mid-Continent Bible College.
She was an active member of Viola Baptist Church.
Surviving are a daughter, Wilma Kay Lewis of Poplar Bluff, Mo.; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 1 p.m. today at Gilbert Funeral Home, with burial in Crooked Creek Cemetery.
