Paul W. Nantz
Paul W. Nantz, 66, Anthoston, died at 8:15 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 27, 2001, at his home.
A member of Bellfield Baptist Church, he was a retired home builder and former owner and operator of The Pool Store in Henderson. He was also an avid fisherman.
Survivors include his wife of 47 years, Peggy W. Nantz; two sisters, Ruth Marx of Mississippi and Shirley Lawson of Henderson; two brothers, Howard Nantz and Eugene Nantz, both of Henderson; nieces and nephews.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Bellfield Baptist Church. The Revs. John Zeigler and Tim Darnell will officiate. Burial will be in Farley Cemetery
in Henderson County.
Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. Friday at Rudy-Rowland Funeral Home and after 9 a.m. Saturday at the church.
Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to Bellfield Baptist Church or St. Anthony's Hospice.
Lydia Margaret Green
Lydia Margaret Green, 72, Robards, died at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 27, 2001, at Methodist Hospital.
She was a member of Faith Christian Cedar Log Church for 10 years.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Samuel Louis Green, who died in 1992; and one daughter, Debra Brantley, who died in 2000.
Survivors include six daughters, Mary Caton, Delores Jones, and Brandy Green, all of Henderson, Barbara Conrad of Niagara, Carolyn Spainhoward of Robards and Linda Mitchell of Smith Mills; three sons, Buddy Green of Smith Mills, and Steve Green and Keith Green, both of Robards; three sisters, Ann Wilson of Central City, Geneva Nelson of Owensboro and Alice Webster of Evansville; one brother, Dallas Bevil of Central City; 25 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
Arrangements are pending at Benton-Glunt Funeral Home.
Betty Latham
WINTER SPRINGS, Fla. -- Betty Latham, 79, formerly of Evansville, died at 2:52 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 20, 2001, at her home here.
She was a member of Co-mmunity United Methodist Church, where she belonged to the Sarah Circle. She was also vice president of the United Methodist Women.
Survivors include her husband, Gerald W. Latham; five sons, the Rev. David Latham of Henderson, Roger Latham of Evansville, Scott Latham of Newburgh, James Latham of Merritt Island, Fla., and William Latham of Dacula, Ga.; one sister, Lenna Olson of Pine Bluffs, Wyo.; nine grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Oak Hill Cemetery
in Evansville. The Revs. K. Richard Holladay and Rebecca Curry will officiate.
There will be no visitation.
Rudy-Rowland Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Bruce Thompson
Bruce Thompson, 53, Henderson, died at 8:50 a.m. Monday, Nov. 26, 2001, at St. Mary's Medical Center in Evansville.
He enjoyed fishing, outdoors and car racing.
Survivors include his wife of 37 years, Janice Thompson; a daughter, Tina Thompson of Francisco, Ind.; a son, Timothy Thompson of Oakland City, Ind.; a sister, Darlene Hudnall of Bedford, Ind.; and two grandchildren.
There will be no visitation or services.
Benton-Glunt Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Ruth Vandiver
PROVIDENCE -- Ruth Vandiver, 91, Providence, died at 10 p.m. Monday, Nov. 26, 2001, at Versnick Health Care Center in Madisonville.
Survivors include cousins.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Melton Funeral Home. Elder John Smith will officiate. Burial will be in Big Hill Cemetery
in Providence.
Friends may call after 10 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
Cindy Keeney Gardner
PROVIDENCE -- Cindy Keeney Gardner, 41, died at 8:10 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 27, 2001, at her home here.
She was a 911 dispatcher.
Survivors include one daughter, Laura Gardner of Providence; two sons, John Blanchard and David Blanchard, both of Providence; three sisters, Phyllis Moore, Cathryn Shelton, and Candy Riley, all of Clay; two brothers, Larry Keeney of Providence and Ronnie Keeney of Clay; two grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
Private services will be held at a later date.
Townsend-Jones Funeral Home in Providence is in charge of arrangements.
Janetta Brunson-Smith
MADISONVILLE - Janetta Fay Brunson-Smith, 51, of Lexington, Ky., died Friday, Nov. 23, 2001, at Caval Huntington (W.Va.) Hospital of a heart attack.
She worked as a family social counselor for Jessamine County.
She was a graduate of the University of Kentucky, and earned her master's degree in psychology at Morehead State University.
Surviving are two daughters, Ruth Ann Cooper-McCormick and Melissa Cooper-Brady; two sisters, Ann Cormier and Wilma Tyson of Madisonville; and two grandchildren.
Memorial services will be at 6 p.m. Wednesday at Harris Funeral Home. Friends may call from 5 p.m. to service time at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to Hope Center Recovery Program for Women in Lexington.
Hazel McGar
EARLINGTON - Hazel Imogene McGar, 80, died Sunday, Nov. 25, 2001, at Madisonville Regional Medical Center.
She had been a sales clerk at the West Kentucky Company Store and was a member and taught Sunday school at the First United Methodist Church.
Surviving are her husband of 59 years, Howard Curtis "Monkey," and two nephews.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Reid-Walters Funeral Home, with burial in Oakwood Cemetery.
Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. today and from 9 a.m. to service time at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to her church.
Joseph Millay
OWENSBORO - Joseph B. Millay, 87, died Monday, Nov. 26, 2001, at the Owensboro Mercy Health System. He retired from Brunswick Corp., was a graduate of Evansville's Memorial High School and a member of Immaculate Catholic Church.
He was a World War II Navy veteran, serving as a chief petty officer and was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars.
He played baseball with in the Cardinals farm system and had pitched two no-hitters, was a member of the Owensboro Bowling Association Hall of Fame and had bowled seven 300 games and had made two holes-in-one as a golfer.
Surviving are his wife 57 years, Janice B. (Cooke) a daughter, Patricia Hurd of White Salmon, Wash.; two sons, Berkeley of Atlanta; a sister, Dorothy Weigele of Evansville; a brother, Edward of Evansville; eight grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. A son, William Thomas Millay, died in 1949.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Immaculate Catholic Church, with burial in Elmwood Cemetery.
Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. Friday, with a 6:30 p.m. prayer service, at Glenn Funeral Home and from 9 a.m. to service time at the church.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Hospice Association or St. Vincent De Paul of Immaculate Catholic Church.
