Jesse Allen Burke
UNIONTOWN -- Jesse Allen Burke, 59, Uniontown, died at 5:51 a.m. Sunday, Nov. 25, 2001, at his home from peripheral vascular disorder.
Retired from CSR after 34 years, he was a member of the Laborers Local Union No. 561. He also enjoyed hunting and fishing.
Survivors include his wife, Carolyn Burke; four sons, David Burke, Kevin Burke, Tommy Burke and Jason Burke, all of Uniontown; seven sisters, Sue Hooker of Henderson, Martha Tapp, Rhonda Coker, Janice Williams and Cynthia Dunn, all of Uniontown, Peggy Coker of Smith Mills, and Phyllis Cartwright of Morganfield; four brothers, Tom Burke of Robards, H.S. Burke Jr. and Kirby Burke, both of Smith Mills, and Ricky Burke of Wheatcroft; and six grandchildren.
Services will be at 1 p.m. today at Whitsell Funeral Home in Morganfield. The Rev. Chris Reynolds will officiate. Burial will be in Uniontown City Cemetery.
Friends may call from 9 a.m. until service time today at the funeral home.
Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to St. Anthony's Hospice.
Jana Marlene Sigler
CLAY -- Jana Marlene Sigler, 38, Clay, died at 10:42 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 24, 2001, at Crittenden County Hospital in Marion of leukemia.
She was of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include her husband of 20 years, David Sigler; a stepson, David Sigler Jr. of Clay; her mother, Brenda Cummings of Dawson Springs; a sister, Lana Doom of Hopkinsville; a brother, Dennis Cummings of Hopkinsville; and grandparents, Denver and Lola Patton of Fredonia, Ky.
Services will be at 1 p.m. today at Vanover Funeral Home in Clay. The Rev. Paul Stone will officiate. Burial will be in Rocksprings Cemetery
in Wheatcroft.

Jimmy Darrell Fulcher
DIXON -- Jimmy Darrell Fulcher, 53, Dixon, died at 6 a.m. Sunday at his home from a heart attack.
He was a member of Eastview Baptist Church.
Survivors include two daughters, Sarah Fulcher of Henderson and Laura Williamson of Jacksonville, Fla.; two sons, Matt Fulcher of Henderson and Marty Fulcher of Jacksonville, Fla.; a brother, Glenn Fulcher of Dixon; and one niece.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Townsend Funeral Home in Dixon. The Rev. Robert Fulcher will officiate. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery
in Dixon.
Friends may call from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. today and from 8 a.m. until service time Wednesday at the funeral home.
Ruth Vandiver
Services for Ruth Vandiver, 91, Providence, who died Monday, will be at 2 p.m. today at Melton Funeral Home. Elder John Smith will officiate. Burial will be in Big Hill Cemetery
in Providence.

James Moore
MARION - James Bruce Moore, 69, died Monday, Nov. 26, 2001, at Deaconess Hospital in Evansville of injuries from a tractor accident that occurred Nov. 13 while he was farming.
He had been an administrator in the Crittenden County School System, was a Korean War Air Force veteran, graduate of Murray State University and was a charter president of Tau Kappa Epsilon.
Surviving are his wife, Patricia; two daughters, Denette Wynn of Marion and Alison Gilchrist of Lone Oak; a granddaughter, Sydney Wynn; and two stepgrandchildren, Keri and Ryan Gilchrist.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Gilbert Funeral Home, with burial in Mapleview Cemetery, with military rites.
Friends may call after 5 p.m. today at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Crittenden County Ambulance Fund in care of Fifth Third Bank in Marion.
Agnes Hicks
OWENSBORO - Agnes Rebecca (McQuinn) Hicks, 82, died Monday, Nov. 26, 2001, at Owensboro Mercy Health System of congestive heart failure.
She retired in 1989 from the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local 1701 where she had been the secretary for 30 years and she was a member of the Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Owensboro.
Surviving are two daughters, Deanna R. Estes of Owensboro and Charlea Parr of Wooster, Ohio; two sons, James E. Hicks of Santa Claus, Ind., and Charles T. Hicks of Owensboro; a sister, Dora Merrill of Evansville; 10 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Raymond, in 1995, and a daughter, Rebecca L. Koller, in 1994.
Memorial services will be at noon Friday at James H. Davis Funeral Home, with private burial in Elmwood Cemetery.
Friends may call from 11 a.m. to service time at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to American Red Cross Big Rivers Chapter or the American Heart Association.
Ruth Vandiver
PROVIDENCE - Ruth Vandiver, 91, died Monday, Nov. 26, 2001, at Versnick Health Care Center in Madisonville.
Surviving are cousins, Claude, Robert and L.D. Cain, Louise Goldsberry and Verna Mae South.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Melton Funeral Home, with burial in Big Hill Cemetery.

Cindy Gardner
PROVIDENCE - Cindy (Keeney) Gardner, 41, died Tuesday, Nov. 27, 2001, of respiratory failure at her home.
She had been a 911 dispatcher in Dixon.
Surviving are a daughter, Laura Gardner of Providence; two sons, John and David Blanchard, both of Providence; two sisters, Cathryn Shelton and Candy Riley, both of Clay; a half sister, Phyllis Moore of Clay; a brother, Larry Keeney of Providence; a half brother, Ronnie Keeney of Clay; two grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
Private services are pending. Townsend-Jones Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
Rev. Edgar Taylor
PRINCETON - The Rev. Edgar Taylor, 88, died Tuesday, Nov. 27, 2001, at Owensboro Mercy Health System.
He was a Baptist minister, retiring after serving in Caldwell County and Lyon County churches, including Calvary Baptist Church and White Sulphur Church. He was ordained by Wallonia Baptist Church in 1952, and received a degree from West Kentucky Baptist Bible Institute in 1956.
He was a member of the Rockport Baptist Church.
Surviving are a daughter, Gloria Taylor Barnes of Rockport; a son, James E. of Sebree; two sisters, Ambie Mason of Christian County and Addie Lee Boardman of Princeton; five grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. His wife, Ester Noel, died in 1999.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at Morgan's Funeral Home, with burial in Millwood Cemetery.

Jonelle Shields
Jonelle Shields, 74, Henderson, died at 6:40 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 28, 2001, at Medco Center of Henderson.
She was a member of First Baptist Church and was retired from the Henderson County Court Clerk's Office, where she served as chief deputy clerk for 17 years.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Langley Shields, who died Jan. 20, 1998.
Survivors include two daughters, Carolyn Hammonds of Paducah and Katrina Burch of Louisville; one son, Dane Shields of Henderson; four sisters, Martha Tynon of Fort Smith, Ark., Jane Akers and Ramonda Bamberger, both of Owensboro, and Ruth Nave of Adrian, Mich.; one brother, Charles Perkins of Franklin, Tenn.; six grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Rudy-Rowland Funeral Home. The Rev. Alan Todd will officiate. Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
