Eileen B. Vogel
LONGWOOD, Fla. -- Eileen B. Vogel, 91, Longwood, formerly of Henderson, died Tuesday, Dec. 4, 2001, at Village on the Green Nursing Home here.
She was of the Methodist faith.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Fred G. Vogel, who died April 1, 1980.
Survivors include two sons, Fred G. Vogel Jr. of Lubbock, Texas , and Phillip Thomas Vogel of Boston; two grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Fairmont Cemetery
in Henderson. The Rev. Jerry Pearcy will officiate.
Friends may call after 9 a.m. Saturday at Benton-Glunt Funeral Home.
Mary Lou Blaine
EVANSVILLE -- Mary Lou Blaine, 75, Evansville, formerly of Providence, died Tuesday, Dec. 4, 2001, at St. Mary's Medical Center.
She was a member of Pleasant Valley Baptist Church in Providence.
Survivors include one daughter, Paulette Goodwin of Evansville; two sisters, Jessie Ruth McConnel and Dortha Lane, both of Hopkinsville; one grandchild; and two great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Melton Funeral Home in Providence. The Rev. Laddie Pride will officiate. Burial will be in Big Hill Cemetery
in Providence.
Friends may call after 2 p.m. today and after 8 a.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Mildred Bell Christian
NASHVILLE -- Mildred Bell Christian, 89, Nashville, died Tuesday, Dec. 4, 2001, at Centennial Medical Center here.
Survivors include her husband, William "Bill" G. Christian; one daughter, Laura Imbornoni; and one brother, Dr. Edward E. Bell of Louisville.
Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Pythan Ridge Cemetery
in Sturgis.
A memorial service will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Park Manor Retirement Center in Nashville.
Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to the Carter Presidential Center, One Copenhill Ave., Atlanta, GA, 30307.

McCarley Ashby
MADISONVILLE - McCarley T. Ashby, 84, died Tuesday, Dec. 4, 2001, at Madisonville Regional Medical Center. He had been a heavy equipment operator for Badgett Coal Co., and was a World War II Navy veteran, serving as a motor machinist mate 2nd class.
He was a member of Earlington Assembly of God Church, American Legion Post 6 and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 5480.
Surviving are two sisters, Wanda Henry of Excello, Mo., and Chelsey Kellems of Evansville; a brother, Jewell of Hanson; nieces and nephews; and Marie Hobbs, his caregiver. His wife, Eunice (Overton), died in 1988.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Barnett-Strother Funeral Home, with burial in East Lawn Cemetery
in Hanson.
Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday and after 11:30 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to American Diabetes. Association or the Arthritis Foundation.
Lillian Stewart
CLAY - Lillian Lovan Stewart, 81, died Friday, Nov. 16, 2001, at South Valley Care Center in West Jordan, Utah.
Surviving are a daughter, Carolyn Lesmeister of Moab, Utah; a sister, Barbara Hardyman of Providence; three brothers, Paul Wayne and Billy Lovan, both of Clay, and Maurice Lovan of Owensboro; two grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Her husband, Preston, died in 1982.
Memorial graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Friday in White Oak Cemetery. There will be no visitation at Vanover Funeral Home.
Franklin Rigdon
HENDERSON - Franklin Leon "Cricket" Rigdon, 29, died Wednesday, Dec. 5, 2001, at Methodist Hospital of an automobile accident in Henderson County at Kentucky 425.
Surviving are his father and stepmother, Richard and Nancy Rigdon of Henderson; three stepsisters, Bandy Taylor, Mary Sutton and Barbara Hobbs, all of Henderson; a brother, George of Henderson; a stepbrother, Michael Hobbs of Henderson; and nieces and a nephew.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Tapp Funeral Home, with burial in Fernwood Cemetery.
Friends may call from 3 to 8 p.m. today and from 9 a.m. to service time at the funeral home.
Robert Summers
MADISONVILLE - Robert Harrold Summers, 75, died Wednesday, Dec. 5, 2001, at Senior Citizens Nursing Home. The cause of death has not yet been determined.
He was copper miner at the Anaconda Copper Mine and a Navy veteran.
Surviving are a daughter, Diana Payton of Madisonville; a son, Robert Alan of Jackson, Tenn.; a sister, Maxine Adams of St. Charles; two brothers, Oscar Townes of Providence and Neil Summers of Dawson Springs; two grandchildren, Amanda Payton and Sean Summers; and nieces and nephews.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Harris Funeral Home, with burial in Lakeview Cemetery.
Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. today and from 8 a.m. to service time.
Carol Cocke
MADISONVILLE - Carol Ann (Whiteley) Cocke, 71, died Tuesday, Dec. 4, 2001, at Madisonville Regional Medical Center of cardiovascular disease.
She had been a registered nurse at Madisonville Regional Medical Center and served as a nurse in the Army, where she was a second lieutenant.
She was a graduate of St. Peter's School of Nursing in New Brunswick, N.J.
She was a member of Christ the King Catholic Church in Madisonville and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 2 in Earlington. She had been a Boy Scout Explorer adviser.
Surviving are two daughters, Cathleen Plunkett of Paris, Ill., and Mary Miller of Dalton; three sons, Timothy Patrick of Ararat, Va., and Michael Brian and Christopher Sean, both of Madisonville; three sisters, Ardith Veres of Hopetown, N.J., Marian Mills of Parlin, N.J., and Valerie Travisano of Morgan, N.J.; a brother, Fred Whiteley Jr. of Toms River, N.J.; nine grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Christ the King Catholic Church, with burial pending at Mount Lebanon Cemetery
in Hillsville, Va.
Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Reid-Walters Funeral Home in Earlington, with a rosary at 6:30 p.m.
