Katherine "Kay" Edmonds
Katherine "Kay" Edmonds, 95, Henderson, died at 6:57 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 29, 2002, at Methodist Hospital.
She was of the Baptist faith. She was a retired elementary and middle school teacher, having taught in Illinois and Florida.
Survivors include one nephew, Larry Rogers of Hilton Head Island, S.C.
Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Greenwood Cemetery
in Nashville, Ill. The Rev. Alan Chamness will officiate.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 p.m. Thursday at Benton-Glunt Funeral Home.
Dylan Michael Thompson
MORGANFIELD -- Dylan Michael Thompson, 4, Morganfield, died in an auto accident with his father, James Ray "Jim" Thompson, at 2:45 p.m. Monday, Jan. 28, 2002.
He attended God's Little Lambs Pre School in Morganfield.
Survivors include his mother, Lori Thompson; grandparents, Jim and Wanda Thompson of Morganfield and Marita Hite of Evansville; great-grandparents, Rose and Malcolm Hite of Waverly and Clara Marie Woodring of Morganfield; one sister, Leah Thompson of Cairo, Ga.; and three brothers, Heath Thompson and Seth Thompson, both of Cairo, Ga., and Randall Tomlin of Morganfield.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Grace Fellowship Church in Morganfield. The Rev. Dwight Jackson will officiate. Burial will be in Odd Fellows Cemetery
in Morganfield.
Friends may call from 3 to 8 p.m. today and after 9 a.m. Thursday at Whitsell Funeral Home in Morganfield.
James Ray "Jim" Thompson
MORGANFIELD -- James Ray "Jim" Thompson, 40, Morganfield, died in an auto accident with his son, Dylan Michael Thompson, at 2:45 p.m. Monday, Jan. 28, 2002.
He was a member of Grace Fellowship Church in Morganfield. He was employed by the Kentucky State Highway Department. He was active in Morganfield youth league softball and football.
He was preceded in death by one daughter, Kelci Dawn Thompson, who died in 1994.
Survivors include his wife, Lori Thompson; one daughter, Leah Thompson of Cairo, Ga.; three sons, Heath Thompson and Seth Thompson, both of Cairo, Ga., and Randall Tomlin of Morganfield; his parents, Jim and Wanda Thompson of Morganfield; and one granddaughter.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Grace Fellowship Church in Morganfield. The Rev. Dwight Jackson will officiate. Burial will be in Odd Fellows Cemetery

Donald Eugene Morrow
WAVERLY -- Donald Eugene Morrow, 49, Waverly, died at 8:19 a.m. Monday, Jan. 28, 2002, at Owensboro Mercy Hospital in Owensboro.
Survivors include two brothers, Ray Morrow and Glenn Morrow, both of Waverly; nieces and nephews.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Peter's Catholic Church in Waverly. Burial will be in St. Peter's Cemetery
in Waverly.
Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday and until service time Friday at Whitsell Funeral Home in Morganfield.
Richard Alves
HENDERSON - Richard Alves, 86, died Wednesday, Jan. 30, 2002, at Methodist Hospital.
He had been Henderson city commissioner.
There are no immediate survivors.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Rudy-Rowland Funeral Home, burial in Fernwood Cemetery. Friends may call from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday and until service time.
Joe Arnold
OWENSBORO - Joe Billy Arnold, 73, died Tuesday, Jan. 29, 2002, at Owensboro Mercy Health System.
He had worked in the tobacco markets and owned a barbecue restaurant and pawn shop.
Surviving are his wife, Jessie; two daughters, Vicki Blair and Tonja Hall; a son, Billy K.; two sisters, Virgie Hines and Helen Ruth Conner; two brothers, J.B. Jr. and Turner; and seven grandchildren.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at James H. Davis Funeral Home, with burial pending. Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m today and from 9 a.m. to service time.
James Greenwell
HENDERSON - James Edward Greenwell, 94, died Tuesday, Jan. 29, 2002, at St. Joseph's Hospital in Atlanta.
Surviving are three daughters, Mary Ann Russell, Linda Griggs and Carolyn Rice; and 10 grandchildren.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church, burial in St. Louis Cemetery.
Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. Friday, with a 7 p.m. prayer service, and until 9:30 a.m. Saturday at Rudy-Rowland Funeral Home.

James Hart
UNIONTOWN - James Earl Hart, 68, died Wednesday, Jan. 30, 2002, at Deaconess Hospital in Evansville.
He had been a coal miner.
Surviving are three daughters, Mary Ann Norris, Rita Jo Pierce and Paula Lynn Gourley; a son, James; two sisters, Veda Grooms and Vera Brady; a brother, Ed; and 10 grandchildren.

Betty Offutt
ANTON - Betty (Lee) Offutt, 69, died Wednesday, Jan. 30, 2002, at Madisonville Regional Medical Center.
She had worked for a hospital service.
Surviving are a son, Mark; two sisters, Mary Mitchell and Alexa Finley; and a brother, Robert E. Lee Jr.

Arline Robinson
HENDERSON - Arline Robinson, 80, died Monday, Jan. 28, 2002, at Methodist Hospital.
Surviving is her sister, Virgie McClure.
Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Friday in Fernwood Cemetery. Friends may call from 10 a.m. to service time. Mason Bros. Audubon Chapel is handling arrangements.
Mary Shaffer
HANSON - Mary Louise (Sechrist) Shaffer, 63, died Wednesday, Jan. 30, 2002, at Select Specialty Hospital-Evansville of congestive heart failure.
She had been a nurse's aide.
Surviving are her husband, Paul; four daughters, Deanna Sinnett, Robin Mitzel, Paula Shaffer and Karen Tyson; three brothers, Robert and Rick Stockbower and Walter Sechrist; and 10 grandchildren.
Services will be at 8 p.m. Friday at Tompkins Funeral Homes Slaughters-Hanson Chapel, burial pending. Friends may call from 5 p.m. to service time.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Mary Shaffer medical fund in care of First Star Bank in Hanson.
