HENDERSON - Mary "Teresa" Courtney, 82, died Tuesday, Jan. 29, 2002, at Red Banks Nursing Home.
Surviving are a daughter, Sue Rigdon; two sons, Robert J. and Donald; two sisters, Rosie Givins and Mary Dickerson; two brothers, Bob and Bruce Mattingly; and six grandchildren.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Benton-Glunt Funeral Home, burial in Roselawn Memorial Gardens. Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. Thursday and from 9 a.m. to service time.
Katherine Edmonds
HENDERSON - Katherine "Kay" Edmonds, 95, died Tuesday, Jan. 29, 2002, at Methodist Hospital.
She had been an elementary and middle school teacher.
There are no immediate survivors.
Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Greenwood Cemetery
in Nashville, Ill. Friends may call from 2 to 4 p.m. Thursday at Benton-Glunt Funeral Home.
Mary Hagan
CALHOUN - Mary Francis Mauzy Hagan, 75, died Tuesday, Jan. 29, 2002, at Riverside Manor Health Care Center of congestive heart failure.
Surviving are two daughters, Sheila Arnold and Mary S. Ling; four sons, Thomas Edward, Berry L., Jerry L. and Larry Wayne; 12 grandchildren; and four stepgrandchildren.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Muster Funeral Home Calhoun Chapel, burial in Mount Vernon Cemetery
in McLean County.

P. Merene King
MADISONVILLE - P. Merene King, 62, died Monday, Jan. 28, 2002, at her home.
She was an inspector for a tire company.
Surviving are her mother, Lois Tomes; a sister, June Conzachi; and two brothers, Johnnie and Larry Tomes.
Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday in Odd Fellows Cemetery.

Siller Long
MADISONVILLE - Siller (Begley) Long, 73, died Monday, Jan. 28, 2002, at her home of cancer.
Surviving are her husband, Lloyd; two sons, Roger and James; three sisters, Mary Rose Betz, Martha Humphrey and May Robinson; and five grandchildren.

SEMIWAY - Mary Lynn Meredith, 60, died Tuesday, Jan. 29, 2002, at Owensboro Mercy Health System of cancer.

WAVERLY - Donald Eugene Morrow, 49, died Monday, Jan. 28, 2002, at Owensboro Mercy Heath System.
Surviving are two brothers, Ray and Glenn.

Violet Simpson
PRINCETON - Violet (Hunter) Simpson, 80, died Tuesday, Jan. 29, 2002, at Rivers Bend Retirement Community in Kuttawa.
She was a retired line worker.
Surviving are a daughter, Vivian Hubbard; a son, Gary; a sister, Evelyn Faughn; and five grandchildren.
Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday in Cedar Hill Cemetery. Morgan's Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
Dylan Thompson
MORGANFIELD - Dylan Michael Thompson, 4, died Monday, Jan. 28, 2002, in Morganfield along with his father, James Ray, in an automobile accident.
Surviving are his mother, Lori Thompson; a sister, Leah Thompson; three brothers, Heath, Seth and Randall; and grandparents.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Grace Fellowship Church, with burial in Odd Fellow Cemetery.

James Thompson
MORGANFIELD -James Ray "Jim" Thompson, 40, died Monday, Jan. 28, 2002, along with his son, Dylan Michael, in Morganfield in an automobile accident.
He worked for the Kentucky State Highway Department.
Surviving are his wife, Lori; a daughter, Leah Thompson; three sons, Heath and Seth Thompson and Randall Tomlin; and a granddaughter.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Grace Fellowship Church, with burial in Odd Fellow Cemetery.

James Edward Greenwell
James Edward Greenwell, 94, Henderson, died at 5:45 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 29, 2002, at St. Joseph's Hospital of Atlanta in Atlanta, Ga.
He was a member of Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church, Henderson Elks Lodge, and Henderson Farm Bureau. He also won medals in the Senior Olympics for his pool playing. He was a ribbon-winning gardener and was an avid bowler.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Bertha Herzog Greenwell; and by one son, James L. Greenwell.
Survivors include three daughters, Mary Ann Russell of Roswell, Ga., Linda Griggs of Marietta, Ga., and Carolyn Rice of Lexington; 10 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church. The Rev. D. Andrew Garner will officiate. Burial will be in St. Louis Cemetery.
Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. Friday and until 9:30 a.m. Saturday at Rudy-Rowland Funeral Home, where prayers will be said at 7 p.m. Friday.
Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church.

Mary "Teresa" Courtney, 82, Henderson, died at 8:19 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 29, 2002, at Redbanks nursing home.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John Walker Courtney, who died in 1991.
Survivors include one daughter, Sue Rigdon of Henderson; two sons, Robert J. Courtney of Henderson and Donald Courtney of Corydon; two sisters, Rosie Givens and Mary Dickerson, both of Henderson; two brothers, Bob Mattingly and Bruce Carroll, both of Henderson; six grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Benton-Glunt Funeral Home. Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
