Oraine Workman Strausbaugh, 78, of Dittmer, Mo., formerly of Bracken County, died at 8:56 a.m. Sunday at Cedar Hills Pavilion, House Springs, Mo. She was a homemaker and a member of Hillsboro Christian Church, Hillsboro, Mo. Her husband, Cecil Strausbaugh, died in 1966.

Survivors include a daughter, Linda Jones of Dittmer, Mo.; sons, Danny Strausbaugh of Georgetown, Ohio, and Rick Strausbaugh of Pacific, Mo.; sisters, Helen Free and Jean Crawford, both of Brooksville; five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Moore and Parker Funeral Home, Brooksville. Visitation will begin there at 11 a.m. Wednesday. Burial will be in Brooksville Cemetery.

Margaret Weil, 89, of Cincinnati, died Sunday at Western Hills Retirement Village in Cincinnati.

Survivors include brothers, Robert Weil of Fort Wright and Fred Weil of Cincinnati.

Mass of Christian burial will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Our Lady of Lourdes Church, Cincinnati. Visitation will be from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. Wednesday at Harry Meyer & Geiser Funeral Home, Cincinnati. Burial will be in St. Joseph Old Cemetery, Cincinnati. Memorials are suggested to American Diabetes. Association, 8899 Brookside Drive, West Chester, Ohio 45069.

Louise S. Samples Wiedeman, 67, of Camp Springs, died at 5:15 a.m. Monday at St. Luke Hospital East, Fort Thomas. She was a homemaker, and former president and chief executive officer of Associations Inc., Cincinnati. She was a member of Cincinnati Chapter of the American Institute of Architects; the Tri State Advertising Association; the Cincinnati Ad Club; Kiwanis Club of Cincinnati; Building Officials and Managers Association of Cincinnati. She was secretary of the Home Builders Association of Northern Kentucky and a board member of the Friends of Campbell County Library.

Survivors include her husband, Donald W. Wiedeman; a daughter, Dena Crain of Lake Beringo, Kenya; sisters, Dorothy Westfall of Winchester, Ohio, Phyllis Taylor of Gallipolis, Ohio, and Mabel LeDesmas of Fullerton, Calif.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Alexandria Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in St. Stephen Cemetery, Fort Thomas. Memorials are suggested to Friends of Campbell County Library, Cold Spring Branch, 3920 Alexandria Pike, Cold Spring, Ky. 41076.

Earl Ransom, Bromley mayor, firefighter

Earl F. Ransom loved the city of Bromley.

Mr. Ransom was a former mayor, police judge, city councilman and a member of the Bromley Volunteer Fire Department.

'He was a strong leader,' said his son, Randall Ransom of Taylor Mill. 'He was known as someone who you could depend on to get something done. He was very outgoing, very sincere.'

Mr. Ransom, 75, of Bromley died at 6 a.m. Tuesday in St. Charles Care Center, Fort Wright. He was a retired foreman with Cincinnati Bell Telephone.

Mr. Ransom also was active in his church, Lakeside Christian Church in Lakeside Park, where he was an elder emeritus. There, he also was a greeter for nearly 25 years.

Randall Ransom said his father was a busy man, but he took every job and membership seriously.

'He wouldn't do it if he couldn't do it well,' Randall Ransom said.

'He was willing to help out anybody, any time he could.'

Mr. Ransom was a past master of Unity Lodge No. 478 F&AM, Ludlow. He was a member of the board of directors of Home Federal Savings Bank in Ludlow, a member of Florence Star Chapter Order of the Eastern Star No. 559 and Scottish Rite Indra Consistory Valley of Covington, and a past patron of Vashti Chapter No. 22 in Ludlow. He was a volunteer, driving senior citizens to appointments.

Mr. Ransom, who loved to bowl and golf, also was a decorated Army veteran of World War II and a member of Bromley Vets.

Other survivors include his wife, Pauline Surber Ransom; and a daughter, Paula Ransom of Union. Another daughter, Rebecca Jean Ransom, died in 1952.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Lakeside Christian Church. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Ronald B. Jones Funeral Home, with Bromley Volunteer Fire Department services at 6:30 p.m., Bromley Vets services at 7 p.m. and Masonic services at 7:30 p.m. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery, Erlanger. Memorials are suggested to Lakeside Christian Church, 195 Buttermilk Pike, Lakeside Park, Ky. 41017; or the charity of the donor's choice. Lucille Perkins Beverly, 77, of Owenton, died Monday at Owenton Manor Nursing Home in Owenton. She was a former cafeteria manager with Owen County Elementary School and a member of Owenton First Baptist Church.

Survivors include a son, Bobby 'Buck' Beverly of Owenton; daughters, Doris Ann Tackett and Billie Jo Taylor, both of Owenton; a brother, Harold Perkins of Owenton; six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at McDonald Funeral Home, Seminary Street, Owenton. Visitation will be from 4 to 9 tonight at the funeral home. Burial will be in IOOF Cemetery, Owenton. Memorials are suggested to Lockport Methodist Church, Lockport, Ky.; or Hospice of the Bluegrass, 208 Steele St., Frankfort, Ky. 40601-2744.

Janet Lee Burchfield, 67, of Augusta, died at 8:25 a.m. Sunday at St. Luke Hospital East, Fort Thomas. She was a homemaker. A son, William Edward Burchfield Jr., preceded her in death.

Survivors include her husband, Willie Edward Burchfield; sons, Ronald Burchfield of Silver Grove, and Roy Burchfield and Charles Burchfield, both of Augusta; daughters, Jacqueline Riehel of Melbourne, Janet Holtz of West Chester, Ohio, and Gwendola Smith of Amelia, Ohio; brothers, Charles Spencer of Bethel, Ohio, Gayle Spencer Sr. of Sanders and Bobby Spencer of Elsmere; sisters, Peggy Sexton of Cincinnati, Marcella Pangallo of Newport and Gwendola Riley of Williamstown; 17 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Services were at noon today at Moore and Parker Funeral Home, Augusta. Burial was in Memory Garden Cemetery, Vanceburg. Memorials are suggested to American Heart Association, 1885 Dixie Highway, Suite 250, Fort Wright, Ky. 41011.

Anthony Burriss, 41, of California, died Saturday at Jennings Community Hospital in North Vernon, Ind. He was a disabled truck driver.

Survivors include his wife, Robin Burriss; a daughter, Angel Burriss of California; sons, Adam Burriss and Christopher Burriss, both of California; his mother, Evelyn Everslage; brothers, Charles Burriss of Butlerville, Ind., and Paul Burriss of Cincinnati; and one granddaughter.

Memorial services will be at the convenience of the family. Pickett Funeral Home, North Vernon, Ind., is handling arrangements.

Joseph Lucas Claxon Jr., 80, of Florence, died at 7:30 p.m. Monday at St. Luke Hospital West, Florence.

Marjorie J. Collier, 74, of Lakeside Park, died at 3:33 p.m. Monday at Florence Park Care Center in Florence. She was a retired secretary with R. L. Polk Co., Cincinnati, and a member of Fort Mitchell Baptist Church, Emera Chapter No. 392 Order of the Eastern Star and White Shrine of Jerusalem-Covington Council No. 10.

Survivors include her husband, Harry W. Collier Jr.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at Allison and Rose Funeral Home, Covington. Visitation will begin there at 10 a.m. Thursday. Burial will be in Highland Cemetery, Fort Mitchell. Memorials are suggested to Fort Mitchell Baptist Church Book of Remembrance, 2323 Dixie Highway, Fort Mitchell, Ky. 41017.

Catherine Cleo Dermon, 87, of Ludlow, died Sunday at Woodspoint Nursing Home, Florence. She was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church, Ludlow.

Survivors include a son, David Dermon of West Liberty.

No services are planned. The body was donated to the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine.

Ancle 'Buddy' Dupuy, 63, of Crittenden, died at 1:25 a.m. Tuesday at St. Luke Hospital West, Florence.

He was a retired group leader with Equitable Bag Co., Florence, and a member of Stearns Baptist Church, the McCreary County American Legion and the United International Paper Workers Union. He was a Marine Corps and Army veteran of the Korean War.

Survivors include his wife, Irene Crabtree Dupuy; sons, Robert D. Dupuy of Independence and Joe Gordon Dupuy of Crittenden; a daughter, Janie Elizabeth Ashcraft of Crittenden; a brother, Harold Dupuy of Gainesville, Fla.; sisters, Alene Callaway of Mobile, Ala., and Katie Ann Garvey of Amarillo, Texas ; one grandson and two step-grandchildren.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Elliston-Stanley Funeral Home, Crittenden. Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Crittenden Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to St. Elizabeth Cancer Center, 1 Medical Village Drive, Edgewood, Ky. 41017.

Dora A. Fugazzi, 87, of Crescent Springs, died Monday at Gallatin County Health Care Center, Warsaw. She was a retired ribbon winder with Inter Chemical Corp., Cincinnati.

Survivors include sons, John L. Fugazzi and Robert M. Fugazzi, both of Crescent Springs; a daughter, Alice M. Silvestri of Andover, N.J.; sisters, Georgia Brown of London, Nellie Frankboner of Banta, Ind., and Lillian Chaney of Morgantown, Ind.; nine grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and eight great-great-grandchildren.

Mass of Christian burial will be at 12:30 p.m. Thursday at St. Joseph Church in Crescent Springs. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to noon Thursday at Linnemann Funeral Home, Erlanger. Charles E. Gamm, 89, of Covington, died Tuesday at Veterans Administration Hospital, Cincinnati. He was an Army veteran of World War II.

Survivors include a sister, Martha Beverding of Erlanger.

Sister Mary Bridgid Goodwin, 78, of Melbourne, died at 2:15 a.m. Monday at Holy Family Home in Melbourne. She was a cook and a housekeeper.

Emma Kirk, 88, of Fort Mitchell, died Monday at Florence Park Care Center in Florence. She was a retired employee of Plastic Molding Co., Cincinnati, and a member of Rosedale Baptist Church, Latonia. She and her late husband collected and sold antiques in Northern Kentucky and had a booth at the Richwood Flea Market. Her husband, Robert Kirk, died in 1994. A son, Jack Kirk, died in 1998. A daughter, Glenda Mae Kirk, died as an infant.

Survivors include sons, Charles Kirk of Fort Wright, David Kirk of Taylor Mill and Robert L. Kirk of Independence; daughters, Aleene Houston of Taylor Mill and Lois Hall of Erlanger; 14 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Woodhead Funeral Home, Falmouth. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 tonight at the funeral home. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Falmouth. Robert W. Lane, 46, of Lakeside Park, died at 9 a.m. Monday at his home. He was a salesman with Amera-Craft Co., Cincinnati, and a member of Immanuel United Church of Christ, Bromley.

Survivors include his wife, Donna Lane; sons, Robert Lane Jr. and Nicholas Lane, both at home, and Benjamin Lane of Covington; a brother, Terry Lane of Park Hills; and sisters, Sherry Hall of Erlanger and Tera Clark of Florence.

Survivors include his wife, Carol Groshell Maddox; a daughter, Pam Kiefer of Arlington, Texas ; sons, T. Sam Maddox of Hamilton, Ohio, and Mike A. Maddox of Fort Thomas; a sister, Betty Daniels of Camp Springs; and one granddaughter.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Muehlenkamp-Erschell Funeral Home, Fort Thomas. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Alexandria Cemetery.
