Vivian Flora Clifford, 74, of Cynthiana, died Thursday at Edgemont Manor Nursing Home in Cynthiana. She was a homemaker. Her husband, Martin E. Clifford, and a son, Jerry W. Clifford, both preceded her in death.
Survivors include sons, Thomas Clifford, Lowell J. Clifford and Jeffrey Clifford, all of Cynthiana, Gilbert Skinner of Lexington and David Clifford of Frankfort; daughters, Mary Lou Bishop of Cynthiana and Rosella Hayes of Paris; sisters, Eileen Crouch of Cynthiana and Hilda Plummer of Paris; 13 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Monday at Ware Funeral Home, Cynthiana. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Battle Grove Cemetery, Cynthiana. Ruby J. Dedden, 78, of Fort Wright, died at 8:30 p.m. Wednesday at St. Elizabeth Medical Center South, Edgewood. She was a homemaker.
Survivors include her wife, Elmer J. Dedden; sons, Terry Lee Dedden and Dale Allen Dedden, both of Fort Wright; a daughter, Linda Jane Gosney of Independence; three grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Amanda Blackburn Gordy, 71, of Owenton, died Thursday at Gallatin Health Care Center, Warsaw. She was a homemaker and a member of Salem Baptist Church.
Survivors include a daughter, Linda Agrue of New Liberty; a sister, Mary Mahoney of Moxley; a half-sister, Nannie Halcomb of Owenton; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Dola R. Lovelace, 88, of Falmouth, died Wednesday at River Valley Nursing Home, Butler. She was a homemaker. Her husband, Dallas Lovelace, and a son, George Lovelace, both preceded her in death.
Survivors include a son, William Lovelace Carroll of Butler; a sister, Louise Wigglesworth of Cynthiana; eight grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

Betty Reed McConnell, 71, of Mount Olivet, died Wednesday at Good Samaritan Hospital, Lexington. She was a homemaker and a member of Piqua Christian Church, Robertson County.
Survivors include her husband, Emmitt Earl McConnell Sr.; sons, Emmitt Earl McConnell Jr. and Ronnie Lavell McConnell, both of Robertson County; and four grandchildren.

Louis Joseph Schuette, 86, of Villa Hills, died Tuesday at Madonna Manor in Villa Hills. He was a retired sales representative with R. J. Reynolds Tobacco Co. and a member of the Northern Kentucky Sports Hall of Fame. He was a member of St. Augustine, Holy Cross and St. Pius X churches, and was a Navy veteran of World War II. His wife, Elizabeth "Babe" Taphorn Schuette, died in 1994. Twin daughters, Marilyn and Carolyn Schuette, also preceded him in death.
Survivors include daughters, Elizabeth Rieselman of Wheaton, Ill., and Sister Dorothy Schuette of Covington; and two grandsons.
Mass of Christian burial will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Mother of God Church, Covington. Visitation will be from 2 to 3 p.m. today at Madonna Manor, and from 7 to 9 tonight at Middendorf-Bullock Funeral Home, Covington. Burial will be in Mother of God Cemetery, Fort Wright. Ethel Mary Shaw, 74, of Florence, died Thursday at Deaconess Hospital, Cincinnati. She was a homemaker.

Bertha Lee Collins Tucker, 86, of Mount Olivet, died Wednesday at Extenda Care, Augusta. She was a homemaker and a member of McKendree United Methodist Church, Bracken County. Her husband, Everett B. Tucker, died in 1975.
Survivors include daughters, Frances F. Henderson and Shelvia J. Burdon, both of Mount Olivet, Marjorie A. Burton of Germantown and Linda Sue Fegan of Brooksville; sons, William B. Frederick of New Caney, Texas , Roy T. Tucker and Eddie Tucker, both of Brooksville, and Dale Tucker of Mount Olivet; sisters, Elizabeth Blevins of Germantown, Beatrice Easterly and Ella Mae Peters, both of Cincinnati; brothers, Eugene Collins, George Collins and J. W. Collins, all of Houston; three stepchildren, 27 grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren and several step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren.

Louis Theodore Breuer, always gave helping hand
Louis Theodore Breuer wasn't a traditional "people person."
But anyone who got to know him never had to feel nervous about asking for a favor.
"Once you got to know him, you could see what a sweet man he was," said his wife, Cuba "Penny" Breuer.
"He was always giving to charities. If someone asked for a donation, either in person or on TV, he would always give."
Mr. Breuer, 75, of Elsmere, died Friday at his home.
His first wife, Sybil Marie Breuer, died in 1987. A daughter, Sandra Jo Roark, died in 1984. Mr. Breuer was a retired mailroom cl erk for The Cincinnati Post and Times Star. After he retired, he devoted himself to charity work and the Elsmere Baptist Church.
It was during his work with the Florence Lions Club, where he was once named officer of the year, that he met his second wife, Penny.
"He was just a really nice, down-to-earth guy," his wife said. "He didn't have a lot of hobbies, so he spent most of his time working with all the different charities in the area."
Mr. Breuer frequently could be found do charitable work at the Elsmere Baptist church, where he was a member for more than 30 years, or the Good Faith Masonic Lodge No. 95 in Erlanger, his wife said.
He also was a member of the Ralph Fulton VFW Post No. 6423 in Elsmere.
Other survivors include a daughter, Beverly Jean Lingrosso of Florence; a sister, Margaret Thayer of Deland, Fla.; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday at Stith Funeral Home, Florence. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery, Erlanger.

Charles William Colemire, 64, of Brooksville, died Friday at his home. He was a construction worker and a member of Assembly of God Church, Brooksville.
A son, Rodger Colemire, preceded him in death. Charlie Dickey, 52, of Elsmere, died Thursday at St. Luke Hospital West, Florence. He was a car salesman and a Navy veteran of the Vietname War.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Melissa Hall Dickey; a daughter, Jessica Renee Dickey, at home; sons, Jason Ross Dickey at home and Michael Ross Sinclair of the state of Washington ; his parents, Albert and Zenobia Dickey of Brooksville, Fla.; a sister, Delain Hahn of Indianapolis; and a brother, Ray Dickey of Brooksville, Fla.

Dorothy Vail Dilling, 93, of Fort Thomas, died at 5:30 a.m. Friday at Carmel Manor Nursing Home in Fort Thomas. She was a retired receptionist with Lakeside Place Nursing Home in Highland Heights and a violinist who played with the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra. She was a member of the Fort Thomas YMCA.
Her husband, Robert Keifer Dilling, died in 1972.
Survivors include daughters, Patty Dobbling of Fort Thomas and Jean McQueen of Ransom Canyon, Texas ; six grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

Josephine Miller Johnson, 89, of Florence, died Thursday at Florence Park Care Center, Burlington. She was a retired employee of Connersville Casket Co., Connersville, Ind., and a member of First Presbyterian Church, Connersville. She was the church organist and a member of Order of the Eastern Star Chapter No. 346, Past Matrons Club, Informal Study Club and Martha Circle of the First Presbyterian Church.
Her husband, Glen A. Johnson, died in 1983. Survivors include a son, James N. Johnson of Burlington; a grandson and two great-grandsons.

Josephine Byrom Person, 95, of Southern Pines, N.C., formerly of Fort Thomas, died July 3 in Penick Village in Southern Pines. She was a member of St. Andrew's Episcopal Church in Fort Thomas, where her husband, Rev. Allen Person, was rector for 30 years.
Survivors include a daughter, Evelyn File of Midlothian, Va.; a son, Harmon Person of Edisto Beach, S.C.; a brother, John Byrom of Columbia, Tenn.; five grandchildren and one great- grandchild.
Services were July 7 in Charlotte, N.C., with burial in Elmwood Cemetery, Charlotte.

James F. Pruett Jr., 70, of Florence, died Thursday at St. Luke Hospital West, Florence. He was a transport operator with Consolidated Freightways and a member of First Church of Christ, Burlington. He was a junior deacon and a member of Walton Masonic Lodge No. 715 F&AM.
A stepson, Guy Wilson, died in 1990. Survivors include his wife, Agnes M. Pruett of Florence; a stepson, Loren "Pete" Wilson of Milford, Ohio; a stepdaughter, Paula Mullins of Florence; sisters, Donnie Fornash of Sparta, Carolyn Kistner of Owenton and Pat Wilhoite of Carrollton; a brother, Johnny Pruett of Florence; and five grandchildren.
