Franklin David "Franky" Haynes Jr., 17, of California, died at 12:45 a.m. Friday in an automobile wreck in Alexandria. He was a junior at Campbell County High School, where he was a vocational student studying carpentry and a member of the Ski Club.
Survivors include his parents, Dave and Sue Haynes; a sister, Angie Haynes, at home; stepbrothers, Rick Goins of Highland Heights, Rodney Goins of Grants Lick and Randy Goins of California; and grandmother, Mabel True of Grants Lick.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Cooper Funeral Home, Grants Lick. Visitation will be from 3 to 9 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery, Grants Lick.

Lorene Kreimborg, 79, of Taylor Mill, died at 2:49 p.m. Friday at St. Elizabeth Medical Center South, Edgewood. She was a retired accounting deparment worker at the Internal Revenue Service, a member of the St. Anthony Church Fun Club and the Grandmothers Club of Northern Kentucky. Her husband, William Kreimborg, died in 1985.
Survivors include a son, Mark Kreimborg of Taylor Mill; daughters, Lois Spenlau of Taylor Mill, Elaine Nunnelley of Independence and Jill Kreimborg of Elsmere; 11 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Mass of Christian burial will be at 1 p.m. Monday at St. Anthony Church, Latonia. Visitation will be from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Monday at Swindler and Currin Funeral Home, Latonia. Arline McDonald, 76, of Versailles, formerly of Burlington, died Wednesday at Central Baptist Hospital, Lexington. She was a homemaker.
Survivors include her husband, Elias McDonald; a daughter, Sharon Lynn Ohler of Versailles; a son, Joseph Fitzgerald McDonald of Ann Arbor, Mich.; her mother, Madeline Haas
Mascovics of Philadelphia; and one grandchild.

Mable Genon Pyles, 59, of Carrollton, died Friday at her residence. She was a homemaker and a member of Valley Christian Church, Carrollton. Her husband, Buford Wilson Pyles, died in 1995.
Survivors include a daughter, Geneva Pyles of Carrollton.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home, Carrollton. Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Carrollton IOOF Cemetery.

Robert Eugene Rogers, 66, of California, died Thursday at Continental Manor Nursing Home, Blanchester, Ohio. He was a former assembly line worker for Ford Motor Company, Fairfax, Ohio, and a member of the Indra Consistory Scottish Rite, Covington. His wife,
Pamela Rogers, preceded him in death.
Survivors include daughters, Mary Kennedy of Cincinnati, Joyce Roberts and Barbara Bayless, both of California, Mabel Thacker of the state of Georgia and Pamela Lainhart of Erlanger; sons, Steven Rogers and Robert Rogers, both of Erlanger; brothers, Dewey Rogers of Berlin and Eddie Rogers of Bellevue; sisters, Emma Johnson of Melbourne and Ailene Hatton of Newport; 15 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Cora E. Isaacs Tankersley, 82, of Highland Heights, died Thursday at Lakeside Place Nursing Home, Highland Heights. She was active in Red Hill Baptist Church, Livingston. Her husband, Preston Tankersley, preceded her in death.
Survivors include sons, Frederick Link and Jimmy Backer, both of Haynes City, Fla., and Dan Tankersley of Livingston; and daughters, Rosemary Drew and Pamela Alexander, both of Haynes City, Fla., and Jewel Tankersley of Cincinnati.
Cremation will be at Baxter Crematory, Cincinnati. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Southgate. Cremation Society of Greater Cincinnati is handling arrangements.

Sandra Lynn Jones, program director of Ky. Department of Veterans Affairs
Sandra Lynn Jones volunteered her time to help veterans and their families, and it grew into a full-time position with the Commonwealth of Kentucky.
Mrs. Jones, 45, of Dry Ridge, died Friday in University of Louisville Hospital.
She was state program director for the Kentucky Department of Veteran Affairs in Louisville.
"She had been in her current post about a year, and before that was a regional coordinator," said James Halvotgis, deputy director of the department.
Mrs. Jones supervised field operations and helped train volunteer veterans workers, he said.
"She started herself as a volunteer. She knew her field extremely well and assisted many veterans and their family members," Halvotgis said. "She was a very valuable employee, and will be sorely missed."
Mrs. Jones was a member of Hills of Kentucky Cloggers in Florence.
"She had been dancing for quite a while, and there have been several articles in the papers about her and the group," said Suzanne Jones, Mrs. Jones's daughter-in-law.
Mrs. Jones was also a member of the Foster Care Review Board in Grant County.
Survivors include her husband, Jimmy Jones; a son, Greg Jones of Dry Ridge; her mother, Juanita Leonard of La Follette, Tenn.; a sister, Mary Jo Leonard of Pineville; a brother, Arthur Pat Leonard of Caryville, Tenn.; and three grandchildren.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Cooper Funeral Home, Grants Lick. Visitation will be from 3 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery, Erlanger.

Robert Knuehl, founded Camp Springs fire department
Robert Charles Knuehl served his country and his community as a Marine during World War II, a rural letter carrier and a founder of the Camp Springs Volunteer Fire Department.
"He was very dedicated to the postal service and to his country," said Myron Born, the Camp Springs Fire Chief.
Mr. Knuehl, 73, of Melbourne, died Friday afternoon in St. Elizabeth Hospice Unit, Covington.
Mr. Knuehl was a retired rural letter carrier in the Melbourne and Camp Springs area and drove many miles over country roads to deliver the mail.
"He never missed a day. I saw him put chains on all four wheels of his vehicle to get through the snow," said Born, who succeeded Mr. Knuehl on the rural route.
Mr. Knuehl was a member of the Na tional and Kentucky Rural Letter Carriers associations and was selected as an outstanding letter carrier in 1979.
Mr. Knuehl also was a founder and charter member of the Camp Springs Fire Department. "It was in 1949, when he and a couple of other guys got together and formed the department," Born said.
Mr. Knuehl was also a former member of Camp Springs Fire District No. 3, which oversees the department and collects taxes for its operation. He received a 30-year service award from the department and the Carl Futscher Award for his service to the department.
On election days, Mr. Knuehl worked at the polling place in Camp Springs. He was also a past commander, quartermaster and a drill team member of Campbell County VFW Post No. 3205, Alexandria. He was a member of Simon Gosney American Legion Post No. 219, Disabled American Veterans in Cold Spring and the Catholic Order of Foresters.
Survivors include his wife, Anita Knuehl; sons, John T. "Tom" Knuehl of California and Robert T. Knuehl of Melbourne; a daughter, Marietta Knuehl of Melbourne; and a sister, Agnes Schultz of Melbourne.
Mass of Christian burial will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Joseph Church, Camp Springs. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 tonight at Alexandria Funeral Home.
Burial will be in Grandview Cemetery, Mentor.
