Beverly Curd Cate, 60, of Chattanooga, Tenn., formerly of Ludlow, died Saturday while visiting her daughter, Michele Hart, in San Francisco. She was a homemaker.
Other survivors include her husband, Cecil Cate; sons, Mark Cate of Houston and Mitchell Cate of Chattanooga; daughters, Mary Boyd and Molly Cate, both of Chattanooga; a brother, Michael Curd of Ludlow; and four grandchildren.
Mass of Christian burial will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at St. Jude Church, Chattanooga, Tenn. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday in the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home. Benita A. Cheslock, 43, of Burlington, died at 4:15 p.m. Saturday at Jewish Hospital, Cincinnati. She was a computer specialist with the Internal Revenue Service, Cincinnati.
Survivors include her husband, Thomas E. Cheslock; a daughter, Krista L. Cheslock, at home; a son, Kevin T. Cheslock, at home; her mother, Kay Lehr Rehkamp of Erlanger; and a brother, Randy Rehkamp of Edgewood.

Virgil C. Clark, 71, of Falmouth, died at 8:55 p.m. Friday at St. Luke Hospital East, Ft. Thomas. He was a retired spray painter with Cincinnati Time Recorder Co. in Cincinnati and an Army veteran of World War II.
Survivors include his wife, Glenna Clark; sons, Kenneth Clark of Ludlow, Edward Ferguson and David Ferguson both of Falmouth; daughters, Michele Fields and Connie White , both of Ludlow, Sharon Arias of Houston, Brenda Barnhorst of Villa Hills and Alma Todl of Oceanside, Calif.; sisters, Willanna Clark of Ludlow and Norma Clark of Oklahoma City, Okla.; 18 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Elsie M. Crowe, 77, of Alexandria, died Friday at St. Luke Hospital East, Ft. Thomas. She was a homemaker.

Lance Davenport, 49, of Ft. Lauderdale, Fla., formerly of Erlanger, died at 6:35 a.m. March 29 at Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami. He was a retired employee of the C. W. Zumbiel Box Co., Norwood, Ohio.
Survivors include his wife, Shirlee Cooper Davenport; a daughter, Holly Davenport of Bakersfield, Calif.; his parents, James and Edith Davenport of Williamsburg; brothers, George Davenport, Jim Davenport, Clarence Davenport, Danny Davenport and Charlie Davenport, all of Ohio; sisters, Ollie Mae Elliott of Ohio, Linda Sue Draper of Williamsburg and Sheila Scotts of Alabama; and one grandchild.

Andrew Groves, 52, of Maysville, died at 9:56 p.m. Friday at Meadowview Regional Medical Center in Maysville. He was a construction worker and a member of Maysville Moose Lodge.
Survivors include his mother, Ruth Groves of Maysville; sisters, Edna Davenport, Mary Haley and Sue Davenport, all of Maysville; brothers, Charles Groves and Gary Groves, both of Maysville, and Bob Groves of Modesto, Calif.

Jean T. Stevens Hoffman, 70, of Ft. Thomas, died at 11 a.m. Friday at St. Elizabeth Medical Center South, Edgewood. She was a retired bookkeeper with the Stevens Co., Cincinnati, a member of Christ Church United Church of Christ in Ft. Thomas, and treasurer of Highland High School Alumni Association. She was a past officer and member of the Sixth District Parent Teacher Association, and was active within the Ft. Thomas YMCA.
Survivors include her husband, Clarence G. Hoffman; a son, John T. Hoffman of Taylor Mill; her parents, William R. and Thelma Stevens of Ft. Thomas; and a brother, William R. Stevens Jr. of Venice, Fla.

August Huss, 77, of Erlanger, died Saturday at St. Elizabeth Medical Center South, Edgewood. He was a retired industrial paper buyer with Diem and Wing, Cincinnati, a member of Florence Baptist Church, and was an Army veteran of World War II.
Survivors include his wife, Martha Huss; a son, John Huss of Ft. Wright; a daughter, Andrea Stringer of West Palm Beach, Fla.; a sister, Elizabeth Lorenz of Newport; a brother, Arthur Huss of Cincinnati; and one grandchild.

George Elmer Mardis, 54, of Independence, died Saturday at St. Elizabeth Hospice Unit, Covington. He was a truck driver with Green Trucking Co., Latonia.
Survivors include his wife, Virginia Trinkler Mardis; daughters, Wendy Mardis, at home, and Melody Nienaber of Crittenden; sons, Terry Mardis of Independence and Jeffrey Mardis of Taylor Mill; brothers, Earl Mardis of Visalia and Gary Mardis of Independence; and nine grandchildren.

Robert R. Thacker, 73, of Covington, died at 6:51 p.m. Saturday at St. Elizabeth Medical Center South, Edgewood. He was a retired machinist with General Electric, Cincinnati, and a member of Latonia Baptist Church and United Auto Workers Union Local No. 674, Cincinnati. His wife, Victoria Mae Pullem Thacker, died in 1993.

Silba Elizabeth Vest, 78, of Dry Ridge, died Sunday at St. Elizabeth Medical Center South, Edgewood. She was a homemaker and a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church, Dry Ridge. Her husband, John H. Vest, died in 1987. A daughters, Donna M. Moss, died in 1994. A son, John Wayne Vest, died in 1995.
