Virgil D. Oetzel, 86, of Butler, died Monday at the Highlands of Ft. Thomas Nursing Home. He was a retired farmer, a member of the Alexandria Church of Christ and a member of the Campbell County Home Insurance Company board of directors. His wife, Mary E. Oetzel, died in 1997. A stepson, George E. Schnorr, died in 1980.
Survivors include a son, Larry G. Oetzel of Louisville; a daughter, Patricia L. Smith of Jacksonville, Fla.; a stepdaughter, Ila Fern Biddle of Alexandria; two grandchildren, one great-grandchild, four step-grandchildren and two step-great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Alexandria Church of Christ. Visitation will be from 1 to 9 p.m. Friday at Cooper Funeral Home, Grants Lick. Burial will be in Alexandria Cemetery. Bradley Kenneth O'Neill, 72, of Covington, died Tuesday at his home. He was a bus driver with the Transit Authority of Northern Kentucky, a member of Dry Ridge Christian Church and a Navy veteran of World War II.
Survivors include his wife, Kathryn Meyer O'Neill; daughters, Sharon O'Neill and Cindy Lucas, both of Covington; a son, Terry O'Neill of Florence; sisters, Lucille Heinlein and Hazel Husman, both of Cincinnati; brothers, Lee O'Neill and Wayne O'Neill, both of Dry Ridge; and one grandchild.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at Chambers and Grubbs Funeral Home, Independence. Visitation will begin there at 11 a.m. Thursday. Burial will be in Independence Cemetery.

Helen Ruth Smith, 73, of Germantown, died at 10 p.m. Monday at her son's home in Aberdeen, Ohio. She was a homemaker and a member of Mt. Olivet Christian-Baptist Church. Three children - an infant son, a son Billy, and a daughter, Wanda - preceded her in death.
Survivors include her husband, Simon Smith; sons, Shirley Smith of Mt. Olivet and Randy Smith of Aberdeen, Ohio; daughters, Wilma Barker and Doris Gallenstein, both of Maysville, Margaret Bess and Pauline Smith, both of Germantown, Emma Lee Chase of Greensburg, Ind., Norma Riley of Vanceburg, and Judy Lindsey and Kristi Shields, both of Brooksville; sisters, Geneva Bussell of Fleming County, Mary Frances Marshall of Maysville and Lonnia Smith of Germantown; brothers, William Cecil Smith and Kenneth Smith, both of Germantown; 25 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

Rosetta Sturgil, 86, of Erlanger, died at 4:40 a.m. Monday at Woodspoint Nursing Home, Florence. She was a homemaker. Her husband, Paul Sturgil, died in 1994.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Floral Hills Cemetery

Everett Glenn Turner, 56, of Worthville, died Monday at Jewish Hospital, Louisville. He was a heavy equipment operator.
Survivors include a daughter, Betty Fay Triplett of North Vernon, Ind.; his mother, Catherine Wilson Turner of Worthville; brothers, Jerry Turner of St. Louis and George Turner of Worthville; a sister, Karen Cassidy of Roanoke, Va.; and one grandchild.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at Graham-Dunn Funeral Home, Carrollton. Visitation will be from 5 to 9 tonight and after 10 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Sulphur Cemetery

James Kinduell of Crestview Hills, owned Kinduell Screen Products
James R. Kinduell wanted to operate his own business and he did, owning Kinduell Screen Products for 40 years.
Mr. Kinduell, 77, of Crestview Hills, died Tuesday at his home.
"He had a master's degree and he wanted his own business, but he wasn't sure of exactly what," recalled Mr. Kinduell's wife, Carole. "This was about 1953, and he and his brother, Ross, who was a graphic artist, started silk screening, which although an ancient process was relatively new to the area. One of their first customers was Procter & Gamble."
Mr. Kinduell continued in business by himself, and his plant for most of the 40 years of operation was in Wilder, his wife said. He retired about five years ago.
Mr. Kinduell served in the Navy during World War II.
"He was on a destroyer, which was assigned to an aircraft carrier group," Mrs. Kinduell said. "They retrieved downed pilots and protected the carriers."
Mr. Kinduell was a member of Immanuel United Methodist Church, Lakeside Park, and Golden Rule Masonic Lodge, Covington.
"He was a faithful member of Immanuel, serving in whatever capacity that he could," Mrs. Kinduell said.
Her husband loved to play golf, Mrs. Kinduell said. He was a member of Ft. Mitchell Country Club for many years and also played in a senior men's league at the Kenton County Golf Course. He also was a very active bridge player, she said.
Other survivors include a daughter, Jill P. Kinduell of Villa Hills; sons, Glenn Robert Kinduell of Ft. Wayne, Ind., and Timothy R. Kinduell of Crittenden; a brother, Ross D. Kinduell of Covington; and two grandchildren.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Immanuel United Methodist Church. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 tonight at the church. Entombment will be in Highland Mausoleum, Ft. Mitchell.
Memorials are suggested to the church building fund, 2551 Dixie Highway, Lakeside Park, Ky. 41017.

Mable Florence Anderson, 88, of Brooksville, died Wednesday at Edgemont Nursing Home, Cynthiana. She was a restaurant owner, a farmer and a member of Wagner's Chapel United Methodist Church, Harrison County. Her husband, Irvin Anderson, died in 1987.
Survivors include sons, Gilbert Ray Anderson of Hindman and Bobby Anderson of Brooksville; a daughter, Betty A. Culver of Louisville; a sister, Myrtle Arthur of Cynthiana; a brother, Ray Florence of Shady Nook; nine grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and eight great-great-grandchildren.

Catherine M. Barker, 92, of Southgate, died at 2:03 a.m. Wednesday at St. Luke Hospital East, Ft. Thomas. She was a homemaker and a member of St. Therese Church in Southgate and of the church Altar Society. Her husband, Charles Barker, died in 1957.
Survivors include sons, Melvin Barker of Southgate and Richard Barker of Union; four grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Charlotte L. Casey, 67, of Cincinnati, formerly of Dry Ridge, died at 9:30 p.m. Tuesday at her home. She was a homemaker and a member of Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, Cincinnati. A son, Jeffery Lee Casey, and daughters, Deborah Lynn Casey and Cassandra Casey, preceded her in death.
Survivors include sons, Brian Casey and Terry Casey, both of Cincinnati, and Gregory and Rick Casey, both of Amargosa Valley, Nev.; brothers, James Pipes of Erlanger, Robert Pipes of Taylor Mill, Larry Pipes of Ft. Mary Metrick Giglia, 83, of Cincinnati, died at 2 p.m. Sunday at Salem Parke Care Center, Cincinnati. She was a retired clerk with the JC Penney Co. and a member of Sacred Heart Church, Bellevue.
Survivors include a son, Charles E. Giglia of Highland Heights; a sister, Rosie Harvey of Beaver, W. Va.; and a brother, Thomas Metrick of Beckley, W. Va.

John A. Howard, 66, of Florence, died Tuesday at Christ Hospital, Cincinnati. He was a retired employee of Colgate Pamolive Co., Jeffersonville, Ind., and a retired Navy senior chief. He was a member of South East Christian Church, Louisville.
Survivors include his wife, Betty A. Ingles Howard; a son, Greg Howard of Houston; a daughter, Krista Wilmhoff of Florence; a sister, Becky Dunn of Louisville; and one grandchild.

Fred Johnson, 80, of Dayton, died Tuesday at his home. He was a retired trader and entrepreneur, a member of the Disabled American Veterans and John R. Little VFW Post No. 3186, both in Southgate, and an Army veteran of World War II. His wife, Bethel Lee Henry Johnson, preceded him in death.
Survivors include a son, Billy Ray Johnson of Dayton; a sister, Bessie Crouch of Irvine; and three grandchildren.
