Mary L. Gifford, 59, of Newport, died Sunday at her home. She was a member of First Baptist Church, Newport.
Survivors include her mother, Nora Gifford of Newport; sisters, Lillie Kelly of New Point, Ind., and Carol Roberts of Cincinnati; and a brother, Mickey Gifford of Newport.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Radel Funeral Home, Newport. Visitation will be from 5 to 9 tonight at the funeral home. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Falmouth.

Oscar Hasse, 90, of Highland Heights, died at 7:20 a.m. Sunday at Lakeside Place Nursing Home in Highland Heights. He was a retired auto mechanic with Campbell County Motors and a member of St. John United Church of Christ in Newport, Newport Masonic Lodge No. 358 and the Ft. Thomas Retired Men's Club.
Survivors include his wife, Helen Bubenhofer of Ft. Thomas; a son, Robert Hasse of Bellevue; a stepson, Frank Burris of Agoura Hills, Calif.; daughters, Doris Klei of Newport and Suzanne Scott of Bellevue; a brother, Herbert Hasse of Cincinnati; a sister, Dorothea Seger of Cincinnati; 11 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Dobbling Funeral Home, Ft. Thomas. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 tonight at the funeral home. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Southgate. Memorials are suggested to St. John United Church of Christ, 415 Park Ave., Newport, Ky. 41071.

Leonard T. Ivey, 63, of Erlanger, died at 3:30 a.m. Sunday at Good Samaritan Hospital, Cincinnati. He was a retired structural iron worker with Iron Workers Union Local No. 44, Cincinnati, and a former Ludlow youth football and baseball coach. He also was a former Kentucky welterweight boxing champion, a former treasurer of Ludlow Athletic Boosters and was an Army veteran of the Korean War.
Survivors include his wife, Ella Weckback Ivey; a daughter, Rebecca Lynn Ivey-Haas of Erlanger; sons, Len Ivey of Southgate, Geno Ivey of Florence and Nick Ivey of Erlanger; and seven grandchildren.

Otis R. Ketron Sr., 62, of Independence, died at 1:20 p.m. Sunday at his home. He was a self-employed plumber with Ketron Plumbing Co. and an Army veteran of the Korean War.
Survivors include his wife, Ina Jean Ketron; sons, Otis R. Ketron Jr. of Erlanger and Dennis W. Ketron of Independence; sisters, Evelyn Smith of Atlanta and Shirley Kirkpatrick of Perry, Ga.; a brother, Floyd Bingham of Corbin; and six grandchildren.

Callie Marie Pipes Loomis, 84, of Williamstown, died at 3:15 p.m. Sunday at her daughter's home in Williamstown. She was a retired waitress and a member of Vine Run Baptist Church, Grant County. A son, Robert Loomis, died in 1991.
Survivors include a son, William Loomis of Whitmore Lake, Mich.; a daughter, Deborah Brown of Williamstown; a sister, Anna Rae Dixon of Williamstown; seven grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

Lena Esther Marshall, 91, of Carrollton, died Sunday at Carroll County Memorial Hospital in Carrollton. She was a retired postmaster in English and the former owner of Booth Grocery in English. She was a member of English Christian Church, the Carroll County Homemakers and Carroll County Senior Citizens.
Husbands Sam Booth and Charles Marshall preceded her in death.
Survivors include a sister, Mary Hartman.

Ruth Anderson Mickelson, 90, of Cynthiana, died Monday at Harrison Memorial Hospital, Cynthiana. She was a homemaker and a member of Tabor Lutheran Church in Branford, Conn. Her husband, Marcus E. Mickelson Sr., and a son, Marcus E. Mickelson Jr., both preceded her in death.
Survivors include a son, Robert C. Mickelson of Cynthiana; a brother, Albert Anderson of Longwood, Fla.; six grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Curtis Funeral Home in Branford, Conn. Burial will be in Tabor Lutheran Cemetery, Branford. Ware Funeral Home, Cynthiana, is handling local arrangements.

Louise Smith Shields, 85, of Williamstown, died at 7:57 p.m. Sunday at St. Elizabeth Medical Center South, Edgewood. She was a retired employee of Cincinnati Time Recorder Co. and a former member of Goldenaires Senior Citizens, Williamstown. Her husband, Leon F. Shields, died in 1994.
Survivors include a daughter, Dorothy Montgomery of Williamstown; sons, Leon F. Shields Jr. of San Leandro, Calif., and William Shields of Georgetown; nine grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.

Margaret Stamper, 84, of Campbellsburg, died Sunday at Carroll County Memorial Hospital in Carrollton. She was a homemaker and a member of Cove Hill Baptist Church, Carrollton.
Survivors include her husband, Herbert Stamper; sons, Robert Stamper and Danny Stamper, both of Campbellsburg; and sisters, Pattie Thompson of Burlington and Melba Wallace of Lexington.
