O. Joseph "Pete" Sipple Jr., 65, of Newport, died at 11:07 p.m. Monday at St. Luke Hospital East, Ft. Thomas. He was a retired pipefitter with Newport Steel. A son, Anthony Sipple, died in 1989.
Survivors include his wife, Patricia Hearold Sipple; a son, Thomas Sipple of Newport; a brother, Wayne Sipple of Batesville, Ind.; a sister, Aloma Cole of Newport; four grandchildren, three step-grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Muehlenkamp-Erschell Funeral Home, Newport. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Southgate.

Willard Webster, 81, of Independence, died Monday at St. Elizabeth Medical Center South, Edgewood. He was a retired caretaker of Spring Grove Cemetery, Cincinnati, and a farmer. He was a member of Mt. Pisgah Methodist Church, Cincinnati.
Survivors include daughters, Marta Updike of Independence and Andrea F. Feeney of Covington; sons, Larry W. Webster of Corona, Calif., and Gary Webster of Covington; seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Services will be at noon Thursday at Chambers and Grubbs Funeral Home, Independence. Visitation will begin there at 10 a.m. Thursday. Burial will be in Hill Crest Cemetery, Dry Ridge.

Grace Elnora Elliott Williams, 79, of Berry, died Monday at Harrison Memorial Hospital, Cynthiana. She was a retired cook with Martin's Rest Home and Grand Haven Nursing Home, both in Cynthiana, and with Harrison Memorial Hospital.
She was a member of the Antioch Mills Christian Church, Harrison County, where she was a member of the Ladies Aid Society, and a member of Harrison County Homemakers. Her husband, Lansing Earl Williams, died in 1979.
Survivors include a daughter, Melva Joyce Payne of Berry; sons, Lansing Elliott Williams of Berry and Nelson Todd Williams of Cynthiana; a sister, Elsie Louise Beckett of Berry; seven grandchildren and two step-grandchildren.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Antioch Mills Christian Church, Harrison County. Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. Thursday at Woodhead Funeral Home, Falmouth. Virgil Lee Patterson, firefighter
Virgil Lee Patterson was a Covington firefighter whose avocations as a carpenter and electrician earned him the respect of many of his peers.
"He was so skilled in woodworking, they made him the carpenter of the fire department. He made chairs and anything that was needed," said Mr. Patterson's son-in-law, Russell Knoerl of Covington.
"He restored cars. He was a plumber and electrician. He was an all-round person when it came to anything mechanical."
Mr. Patterson, 90, of Cincinnati, formerly of Covington, died at 2:21 p.m. Monday at Deaconess Hospital in Cincinnati.
He was a retired Covington firefighter and a member of First Christian Church in Covington.
Mr. Patterson was a member of the Kenton Game and Fish Association and the National Rifle Association.
He received the Gold Hammer Award from Popular Mechanics magazine in 1981.
At one time, Mr. Knoerl was a Covington firefighter and worked with his father-in-law in the department. He said Mr. Patterson could knock down fires with the best of them and still find time to pursue his hobbies, which included target shooting and boat building.
"He once built a 20-foot cruiser. He traded it in for a Thunderbird," Mr. Knoerl said.
Mr. Patterson attributed his longevity to eating sensibly and staying busy, his son-in-law said. "He did what he liked to do," Mr. Knoerl said.
Other survivors include a daughter, Joyce Knoerl of Covington; a sister, Hazel Haynes of Cincinnati, five grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Allison and Rose Funeral Home, Covington. Visitation will begin there at 9 a.m. Friday. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery, Erlanger.

C. W. "Billy" Adams, 68, of Dry Ridge, died at 9:55 a.m. Wednesday at his home of cancer. He was a farmer, a machinist with Cincinnati Milacron and a self-employed bulldozer operator.
He was a member of Bethany Baptist Church, Williamstown, where he served as the church treasurer. He was a deacon with the church, a trustee of the Bethany Church Cemetery
Association, a supervisor with the Grant County Conservation District and a member of Gideons International.
Survivors include his wife, Lois Poe Adams; a son, William Gregory Adams of Dry Ridge; his mother, Eloise Work Adams of Dry Ridge; brothers, Gene Adams of Berry and Gerald Adams of Crab Orchard; sisters, Linda Switzer of Hodgenville and Judy Smith of Dry Ridge; and two grandchildren.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Bethany Baptist Church, Williamstown. Visitation will be from 4 to 9 p.m. Friday at Elliston-Stanley Funeral Home, Williamstown, and at 10 a.m. Saturday at the church. Burial will be in Bethany Church Cemetery. Rev. Robert M. Dunn, 66, of Cincinnati, died Jan. 5 in China. He was a former director of ministries for the Cincinnati Baptist Association. He and his wife, Ann, taught English in China and were on a two-year assignment with the International Mission Board of the Southern Baptist Convention when he died. Rev. Dunn was a former pastor of the Greenview Baptist Church in Florence and had managed the Baptist Retirement Village in Erlanger. He was a member of the board of trustees of the Northern Kentucky Convalescent Center and served on the executive board of the Kentucky Baptist Association.
Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Sandi Webb of Burlington; sons, John Dunn of Cape Coral, Fla., Tony Dunn of Cincinnati, Scott Dunn of Florence and Keith Dunn of Danville; nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Services were Wednesday at First Baptist Church of Mt. Healthy in Cincinnati. Dalbert & Woodruff Funeral Home, Cincinnati, is handling arrangements.

Edith Esther Greenlee, 90, of Maysville, died Wednesday at Ohio Valley Manor in Ripley, Ohio. She was a retired nurse's aide with Hayswood Hospital, Maysville, and a member of Calvary Temple, Maysville. She was a former employee of the January and Wood cotton mill in Maysville. Her husband, Lafe Greenlee, died in 1956. Two children, Anna Villani and Robert A. Mitchell, preceded her in death.
Survivors include a daughter, Marguerite Hardy of Maysville; 12 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Brell and Son Funeral Home, Maysville. Visitation will begin there at noon Friday. Burial will be in Maysville Cemetery.

Bettye Lou Hannan, 67, of Burlington, died Wednesday at Bethesda Hospital, Cincinnati. She was a retired bookkeeper with George W. Hill Co., Florence.
Survivors include her husband, Donald Hannan; a daughter, Judith Hawkins of Cincinnati; a son, Keith Hannan of Cincinnati; a brother, James Jaggers of Colorado Springs, Colo.; and five grandchildren.

Curtis L. High Sr., 68, of Crescent Springs, died at 9:28 p.m. Tuesday at St. Elizabeth Medical Center South, Edgewood. He was a retired self-employed certified public accountant and an accounting professor at Northern Kentucky University. He also was treasurer of the American Hemocallis Society.
Survivors include his wife, Jean M. Madaris High; a son, Dr. Curtis L. High Jr. of Georgetown; daughters, Deborah Jean Roth of Nashville, Tenn., and Nancy Louise Works of Madison, Ind.; a brother, A. Robert High of Orlando, Fla.; and eight grandchildren.

Alline Johnson, 96, of Ludlow, died at 2:47 a.m. Wednesday at St. Elizabeth Medical Center North, Covington. She was a retired security worker with Cal Crim Detective Agency, Cincinnati, and a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of Junior Order United American Mechanics, Ludlow, and of the Ladies Auxiliary of Unity Lodge No. 478 F&AM, Ludlow. Her husband, J.D. Johnson, and her sons, Earl Lister and Delbert Lister, preceded her in death.
Survivors include nine grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

William F. Kemper, 84, of Independence, died Monday at Highlands of Ft. Thomas. He was a retired public employee with the City of Ft. Thomas. His wife, Minnie Kemper, died in 1962.
Survivors include a son, Ernest Kemper of Independence; a daughter, Rebecca Popp of Elsmere; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Alva Lowe, 85, of Sparta, died Wednesday at Gallatin County Health Care Center, Warsaw. He was a former member of the Gallatin County Board of Education and was a former County Election Commissioner. He also was a member of Sparta Baptist Church, where he served as a deacon.
Survivors include his wife, Zerelda Lowe; sons, Hardin Lowe and Joseph Lowe, both of Sparta; a sister, Florence Moore of Warsaw; three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
