Manda E. Salyer, age 80, of Paintsville, died Tuesday evening at the Paul B. Hall Regional Medical Center. She is survived by her husband Harry Salyer and daughter Kathy Salyer, both of Flat Gap. Funeral services will be Friday 11 a.m. in the Chapel of the Paintsville Funeral Home with burial in the Salyer Family cemetery, Joe's Creek Visitation will be at the Paintsville Funeral Home Wednesday 6-9 p.m., Thursday 9 a.m.- 9 p.m. and Friday 9 a.m. until the time of service.
Paul Tipton
Paul Tipton, age 79, of Paintsville, passed away Wednesday morning at the Pikeville Medical Center. He is survived by his sister Anna Ruth Jones and 7 grandchildren. Funeral services wil be Friday 1 p.m. in the Chapel of the Paintsville Funeral Home with burial in the Carroll cemetery, Whiteshouse. Visitation will be at the Paintsville Funeral Home Thursday 7-8 p.m. and Friday 9 a.m. until the time of service.

Linzie Ratliff, age 53, of Staffordsville passed away Thursday morning at the Paul B. Hall Regional Medical Center. He is survived by his significant other, Diana Sullivan; 3 daughters, Cherish Ratliff, Courtney Caudill and Cassie Sullivan; son, Shawn Blair; 2 sisters, Martha Auxier and Evelyn Ratliff; brother, Tim Ratliff and 7 grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday 1 p.m. at the Whitaker Freewill Baptist Church with burial in the Ratliff Family cemetery, Staffordsville. Visitation will be at the Whitaker Freewill Baptist Church Thursday 6 p.m., Friday and Saturday 9 a.m.

Marie Grace, 92, of Paintsville passed away Saturday morning at Highlands Regional Medical Center. She is survived by her son, Roger Dean Grace of Oil Springs, 5 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, 2 great- great grandchildren and a host of family and friends. Funeral services will be Tuesday at 1 p.m. at the Chapel of the Paintsville Funeral Home with Burial in the Grace Family cemetery in Oil Springs. Visitation will be at the Paintsville Funeral Home Sunday 5-9 p.m., Monday and Tuesday 9 a.m.
Dorothy Moore Ross
Dorothy Moore Ross, 87, of Flat Gap, passed away Friday evening at her home. She is survived by her husband Charles; 4 daughters, Nieda, Naomi, Viola, and Velma; 1 son, Joe; and a host of family and friends. Funeral services will be conducted Monday 11 a.m. at the Point Pleasant Church with burial in the Moore Family cemetery, Flat Gap. Visitation will be at the Paintsville Funeral Home Sunday 1-9 p.m. In lieu of flowers the family wishes for donations to be made to the local DAV.

Edward A. Reed, 77, the husband of Helen Meade Reed, of Flat Gap, KY passed away May 31, 2012 in Hurrican, WV. He was born February 10, 1935 at Paintsville to the late Elder Londa and Beulah Lemaster Reed of Flat Gap. He is survived by 1 daughter: Chloe Ann and husband, Leo Gibson, Hurrican, WV; 2 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; 4 brothers: Hershel (Jan) Reed of Whitley City, KY, Jim (Eula) Reed of Orlando, Florida, Danny (Bobbie) Reed of Greensboro, MD, Rev. Sammy (Jewell) Reed of Oil Springs, KY; 3 sisters: Bonnie Reed Stapleton and Judy (Woody) Bowen both of Flat Gap, and Helen (Jack) Kelly of Keaton, KY; 1 brother- in- law: Gerald Fannin of Jackson OH; and one sister-in-law: Betty Rose Reed of Flat Gap.
