FORDSVILLE - Irene Fuqua, 92, of Fordsville, died Wednesday, October 13, 2004, at Hillcrest Healthcare Center in Owensboro. She was born in Ohio County and was a homemaker. She was a member of Fordsville Baptist Church. Mrs. Fuqua was preceded in death by her first husband, Clarence Barnett; her second husband, Frank Fuqua; and a son, Jim "Bobby" Fuqua.
She is survived by two sons, Bill Fuqua and wife Pat of Philpot and Vernon Barnett and wife Kathryn of Canton, Ga.; a daughter-in-law, Terry Fuqua of Owensboro; six grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Geary Funeral Home in Fordsville with burial in Fordsville cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today and after 8 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Expressions of sympathy may be made to Fordsville cemetery. Envelopes are available at the funeral home.
Willadean Markwell Felty

BREMEN - Willadean Markwell Felty, 80, of Central City died Thursday, Oct. 14, 2004, at Muhlenberg Community Hospital in Greenville. She was a homemaker and a member of Powers Chapel General Baptist Church in Bremen.
Survivors include a son, Ronald Markwell; and a daughter, Joyce Vanover.
Services: 1 p.m. Saturday at Tucker Memorial Chapel in Sacramento. Burial: Gish cemetery in Bremen. Visitation: After 5 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Kenneth A. Cobb

Kenneth A. Cobb, 75, of Back Square Drive, Owensboro, died Wednesday, Oct. 13, 2004, at Western Kentucky Veterans Center in Hanson. Kenneth A. Cobb was born May 30, 1929, in Livermore to the late Argle and Willie Cobb. He was a retired machinist and a member of St. Charles Catholic Church in Livermore. Kenneth was an Army veteran of World War II and also enjoyed fishing and attending flea markets. His wife, Lela Cobb, died May 31, 1987.
Survivors include two sisters, Mildred Downs of Livermore and Gladys Hardesty of Owensboro; a half sister, Jean Blackburn of Evansville; three nephews and a niece.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Muster Funeral Homes, Livermore Chapel with Father Ben Luther officiating. Burial will be in Oak Hill cemetery in Livermore. Friends may visit with the Cobb family from 4 to 8 p.m. today and from 8 a.m. until time of services Saturday at Musters in Livermore.

BEAVER DAM - James Hoops, 76, of Beaver Dam died Wednesday, Oct. 13, 2004, at his home. He was a coal miner and a member of Harwood Baptist Church in Evansville.
Survivors include his wife, Dorene Smith Hoops; a daughter, Barbara Skaggs; three stepsons, James Smith, Tommy Smith and Jimmy Smith; three stepdaughters, Rebecca Shaw, Virginia Ewing and Loretha Whitaker; a brother, Edgar Ray Hoops; and a sister, Carolyn Litsey.
Services: 2 p.m. Friday at William L. Danks Funeral Home in Beaver Dam. Burial: Taylormine cemetery in Beaver Dam. Visitation: From 1 to 8 p.m. today and after 9 a.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Dianne Herode

HAWESVILLE - Dianne Herode, 53, of Hawesville died Wednesday, Aug. 31, 2005, at her home. She was born in Evansville on Aug. 18, 1952, to the late Anthony and Marie Tice Barron. She was of the Catholic faith.
Survivors include her husband of 34 years, Wendell Herode; two daughters, Tara Moudy and her husband, Greg, of Owensville, Ind., and Tracy Marret of Hawesville; a son, Troy Herode and his wife, Kemberly, of Hawesville; eight grandchildren, Courtney and Shelby Herode, Joshua and Zachary Hulsman, Carissa Moudy, Bryan, Anthony and Vada Marret; four sisters, Jazell, Jozetta and Mona Jean Barron and Ann Marie Morris; and two brothers, Darrell Barron and Joe Barron.
Services are at 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 3, at Gibson & Son Funeral Home in Hawesville. Visitation will be from 3 to 8 p.m. Friday and after 7 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Burial will be private.
Mary Wingfield McElwain

Mary Wingfield McElwain, 64, of Owensboro, died Tuesday, Aug. 30, 2005, at Owensboro Medical Health System. Born Aug. 14, 1941, Mrs. McElwain retired from the Owensboro Board of Education and was the cafeteria manager at Owensboro Middle School when she retired. She was a member of the People's Baptist Church and loved to go to flea markets and quilt. Mrs. McElwain was preceded in death by her father, Alvia Wingfield; and a sister, Helen Isom.
She is survived by her husband, Billy McElwain; three sons, Terry (and Julie) Clark of Clarksville, Tenn., Keith (and Terri) Clark of New Albany, Ind., and Todd (and Robin) Clark of Owensboro; a stepson, Billy (and Karen) McElwain Jr. of Owensboro; her mother, Ruth Basham Wingfield of Owensboro; 14 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; two brothers, Earl Wingfield of Knottsville and Billy Wingfield of Owensboro; and two sisters, Alta Reed and Lorene Apman, both of Owensboro.
Services will be 10 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 3, at Christ Chapel, Owensboro Memorial Gardens. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to the Daniel Pitino Shelter, 501 Walnut St., Owensboro, KY 42301.
Jane Tichenor Libs

Jane Tichenor Libs, 87, of 725 Scherm Road, died Monday, Aug. 29, 2005, at her home. She was born Aug. 11, 1918, to the late Edna Powers Tichenor and William Tichenor. Mrs. Libs was baptized at the age of 10 at Yellow Creek Baptist Church, where she remained a member all her life. A graduate of Daviess County High School, she retired from purchasing at Mullen and Haynes Co. in 1981 after 38 years of service. Mrs. Libs was the matriarch of the family. She was loved and respected for keeping family traditions and connections in place. Mrs. Libs was preceded in death by her husband of 22 years, Francis M. Libs; and his first wife and her sister, Beulah Libs; and two brothers, Harlan Tichenor and Ernest Tichenor.
She is survived by her husband's children, Liz (John) Froehlich, Mike (Betty) Libs, Pat (David) Jones, Becky Everly, and Francis Libs, all of Owensboro, and Phil (Karyl Lu) Libs of Versailles. Other survivors include a nephew, Bill (Jean) Tichenor of Shelbyville; nieces, Linda (Jerry) Harris, Frances Tichenor and Lynn Tichenor; a brother-in-law, Bill Libs (Wanda); and a sister-in-law, Elizabeth Tichenor, all of Owensboro. Grandchildren are John Froehlich IV, Mary Beth Froehlich, Melissa Granger, Jeff Libs, Todd Libs, Jamie Hazelwood, Jason Jones, Michael Jones, Mitchell Jones, Meghan Halcomb, Janet Fox, Jenny Munster, Shawn Libs, Kelly Howard, Matt Libs and Adam Libs.
Mrs. Libs will return to Yellow Creek Baptist Church on Thursday, Sept. 1, at 1 p.m. for funeral services conducted by her pastor, Dr. James Wedding and the Rev. Bob Fox, pastor of Faith Baptist Church in Georgetown. Mrs. Libs has chosen as pallbearers Mac Griffin, Melvin Pagan, George Stuart, Ron Whittaker, John Williams and Tom Witherspoon. Visitation is from 2 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 31, and after 10 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 1, at Glenn Funeral Home. Burial will be in Owensboro Memorial Gardens. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of the Homebound Ministry of Yellow Creek Baptist Church, which served as Mrs. Libs' spiritual link to her church during her last years.
Ruby Jean Peveler

Ruby Jean Peveler, 66, of 2309 Wilson Lane, Utica, died at 5:30 p.m. Monday, Aug. 29, 2005, at her home. She was born Aug. 13, 1939, in Muhlenberg County. She was a homemaker and attended Grace Chapel in Philpot. She was preceded in death by her husband of 46 years, Bobby Ray Peveler.
Survivors include a son, Michael R. Peveler of Utica; a daughter, Cindy A. McGehee of Owensboro; four grandchildren, Mike Woodard, Christopher Peveler, Kayla Peveler and Matthew Peveler; two great-grandchildren, Michael Anthony Woodard and Brooklyn Lee; a sister, Nell Sumner of Owensboro; and an uncle, Ed Latham of Owensboro.
Services are at 2 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 1, at Tucker Funeral Home in Central City, with the Rev. Robert Young officiating. Burial will be in Rose Hill cemetery in Central City. Visitation is after 5 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Ronald E. Hamill, 63, of 2407 Pardon Ave., Owensboro, died Tuesday, July 26, 2005, at his home. He was born Sept. 13, 1941, in Daviess County and retired from Local No. 11 of Chicago as a roofer. He was a Marine Corps veteran and a member of Precious Blood Catholic Church. He enjoyed gardening and being with his family and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Daniel Feeback; and his foster parents, Jim and Catherine Hamill.
Survivors include his wife of 36 years, Elizabeth Hamill; a daughter, Mary Catherine Hamill, at home; his mother, Mary Helen Quisenberry, at home; a sister, Judy Jozwiak of Portage, Ind.; two nieces, Brittany Sue Mortiz of Portage and Dana Feeback of Cannelton, Ind.; two nephews, Jason Feeback of Cannelton and Raymond Anthony Moritz of Portage; a half brother, Danny Feeback of Cannelton; two aunts, Anna Melbauer and her husband, David, of Beech Grove and Betty Coomes and her husband, Norman, of Philpot; and several cousins.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Precious Blood Catholic Church, with the Rev. Brad Whistle officiating. Visitation is from 4 to 8 p.m. today and from 9 to 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Haley-McGinnis Funeral Home in Owensboro. Prayers will be said at 7 p.m. today at the funeral home. Burial will be in Resurrection cemetery. William H. Whoberry

TOLEDO, Ohio - William H. Whoberry, 73, of Toledo died Sunday, July 24, 2005, at Flower Hospital in Sylvania, Ohio. William Whoberry was born Aug. 15, 1931, in McLean County to the late Everet and Forda Hack Whoberry. He was a retired produce manager and enjoyed playing dominoes and bingo. He was preceded in death by a son, Michael Whoberry.
Survivors include his wife, Joyce Whoberry; two daughters, Vickie Lorge of Youngtown, Ariz., and Kelly Engle of Thousand Oaks, Calif.; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and a sister, Ruth Dixon of Portsmouth, Ohio.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Muster Funeral Homes, Calhoun Chapel, with Dr. Richard Sams officiating. Burial will be in New Cypress cemetery in McLean County. Friends may visit with the Whoberry family from 9 a.m. to time of services Friday at Musters in Calhoun.

ELK GROVE VILLAGE, Ill. - Raymond E. McElvain, 68, of 359 Maple Lane, Elk Grove Village died at 4:30 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 2, 2004, at Alexian Brothers Medical Center in Elk Grove Village. He was born Jan. 21, 1936, in Central City and retired as a sheet metal layout man.
Survivors include his mother, Catherine Adrian Jones of Central City; his beloved girlfriend, Sharon Iversen of Chicago; daughters, Ann (Thomas) Radcliffe of Rockford, Ill., Laura (Eric) Gundersen of Hoffman Estates, Ill., and Stephanie (Randy) Jenovai of Elk Grove Village; granddaughters, Shannon Radcliffe, Gabrielle Gundersen and Lauren Jenovai; brothers, Tom (Mae) McElvain of Beechmont and Gary (Olga) McElvain of Dunedin, Fla.; and a sister, Kay (Gary) Silcox of Jellico, Tenn.
He was preceded in death by his father, Odie McElvain; and a sister, Frieda Simonsen.
Services are at 1 p.m. Saturday at Tucker Funeral Home in Central City with Pastor Roy Loney officiating. Burial will be in Rose Hill cemetery in Central City. Visitation will be after 10 a.m. Saturday at the Tucker Funeral Home.
