Tresia S. Puckett

BREMEN - Tresia S. Puckett, 45, of 191 Payton Lane, Bremen, formerly of Livermore, died Monday, Nov. 29, 2004, at Baptist Hospital East in Louisville. Tresia Shan Puckett was born Oct. 20, 1959, in Owensboro to Logan Delbert and Joan Burden Puckett. She was an LPN at Belle Meade Nursing Home in Greenville and a member of Livermore Missionary Baptist Church. Tresia enjoyed basketball, softball, caring for animals and watching the sunset when she lived in Florida. Tresia was preceded in death by her mother, Joan Burden Latham, who died Sept. 7, 2001.
Survivors include a brother and his wife, Logan Dale and Michele Puckett of Livermore; four sisters, Debbie Robinson of Central City, Lisa Hewlett of Valparaiso, Ind., Colette Eldridge and her husband, Nathan, of Drakesboro and Rhonda Littlefield of Powderly; six nieces; eight nephews; and her father, Logan Delbert Puckett of Livermore.
Funeral services will be held at 6 p.m. Friday at Livermore Missionary Baptist Church, with Mr. Charles Jarvis officiating. Friends may visit with the Puckett family from 3 p.m. until time of services Friday at the church. Muster Funeral Homes, Livermore Chapel, is in charge of the funeral arrangements for the Puckett family.
The Puckett family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to Livermore Missionary Baptist Church, Christian Life Center, P.O. Box 287, Livermore, KY 42352. Memorial contribution envelopes will be available at the church and at Musters in Livermore.
Emma Greenwell

Emma Greenwell, 95, of Owensboro passed away Wednesday, Dec. 1, 2004, at Leisure Years Nursing Home. She had been a member of Hall Street Baptist Church for more than 70 years and had worked at Ken-Rad and Fleishman's Distillery. Her parents, Samuel and Sarah Welch Conway and her husband, Milton Leon Greenwell Sr., preceded her in death.
She is survived by a son, Milton Leon Greenwell Jr. of Owensboro; a daughter, Betty Otterson of Henderson; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, Dec. 3, at Glenn Funeral Home. Visitation will be held from 2 to 8 p.m. today, Dec. 2, at the funeral home. Burial will be in Elmwood cemetery. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to Hospice.
Foy Ferry

HARNED - Foy Ferry, 78, of Harned died Sunday, Nov. 14, 2004, at Breckinridge Health Care.
Survivors include two brothers, Joe Ferry and Leonard Ferry; and two sisters, Vitula Bohana and Dora Ann Wright.

Anzel Lake Whittaker

PHILPOT - Anzel Lake Whittaker, 86, formerly of Philpot, passed away Thursday, Dec. 2, 2004, at Leisure Years Nursing Home. He was born Dec. 22, 1917, in Ohio County to the late Emmitt and Prudie Mae (Greer) Whittaker. He was a member of Bells Run Baptist Church. He was a person that never knew a stranger, and he enjoyed farming and spending time with his family and friends, especially telling stories and rhymes with his grandchildren. He was preceded in death in 2003 by his wife of 61 years, Velma Lucille Whittaker; and great-granddaughter, Kathleen Michelle Crowe. Also preceding him in death were two sisters, Oma Mae Whittaker and Elma Belle Adkisson; and a brother, JW Whittaker.
Survivors include his children, Rachel Sebok and Alice Whittaker, both of Owensboro, David Whittaker of Buford and Paul Whittaker of Pleasant Ridge; a sister, Geneva Reynolds of Owensboro; a brother, RC Whittaker of Owensboro; seven grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. today at Cecil Funeral Home in Whitesville. Burial will be in Bells Run cemetery. Visitation is after 10 a.m. today at the funeral home. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to Hospice Association.
Martha Louise Hall Early

REYNOLDS STATION - Martha Louise Hall Early, 82, of Reynolds Station died Sunday, Dec. 5, 2004, at Owensboro Medical Health System. Born March 12, 1922, Mrs. Early was the daughter of the late Robert Percy Hall and Mabel Poole Hall. She was a homemaker and member of Boling Chapel United Methodist Church. She enjoyed serving her church, gardening, quilting, sewing, cooking and caring for her grandchildren. Mrs. Early was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Mason Early, in 1990; and a son, Edward M. Early Jr., in 2000.
Survivors include a son, James (and Susan) Early of Reynolds Station; three daughters, Darlene (and James) Goodall of Utica, Sandra Kay Fanese (and Delbert) Bittel of Owensboro and Debbie (and Jerry) Killion of Reynolds Station; 17 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and a brother, John Hall of Maceo.
Funeral services are at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 7, at Glenn Funeral Home, with burial in Owensboro Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. today and after 9 a.m. Tuesday. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to Boling Chapel United Methodist Church.
Regina Underwood Logsdon

Regina Underwood Logsdon, 84, of Whitesville died Sunday, Dec. 5, 2004, at Hillcrest Healthcare Center in Owensboro. She was born in McLean County. She was a member of St. Mary of the Woods Catholic Church. She owned and operated Logsdon Flea Market. She was preceded in death by her husband, J.D. Logsdon, in April 1996; and a son, Billie J. Logsdon, in January 1996.
She is survived by one son, Donald E. Logsdon of Philpot; five daughters, Mary E. Hill of Whitesville, Bernice Tooley of Owensboro, Sharon Carmon of Philpot, Lorretta Kassinger Robbins of Louisville and Kathy Ebelhar of Stanley; 29 grandchildren; 52 great-grandchildren; 17 great-great-grandchildren; two brothers, Gerald Underwood of Warner Robbins, Ga., and Glenn Underwood of Livermore; and two sisters, Opal Whobrey of Evansville and Ruby Willis of Livermore.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at St. Mary of the Woods Catholic Church in Whitesville. Burial will follow in Resurrection cemetery. Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. today and after 9 a.m. Wednesday at Cecil Funeral Home in Whitesville. Prayers will be said at 6 p.m. today at the funeral home. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to Alzheimer's Association.
Jennie Sue Mattingly

GILBERT, Ariz. - Jennie Sue Mattingly, 88, of Gilbert passed away on Sunday, Oct. 3, 2004. She was born in Sturgis to Ogustas and Molly Maraman. She retired from her 28-year career with General Electric in 1963 and moved to Arizona where she worked in the jewelry business.
Jennie is survived by a niece, Barbara Stroud; and nephews, David and Stephen Maraman. She will be dearly missed by all of her friends and loved ones and especially her closest friend and unofficial "adopted daughter" Dori Brandon.
Jennie's ashes will be placed alongside her parents in Sturgis. May she rest in peace. No services are planned. Arrangements were entrusted to Mariposa Gardens Funeral Care, Mesa, Ariz.
Jim Moore

McDANIELS - Jim Moore, 66, of McDaniels died Saturday, Dec. 4, 2004, at Breckinridge Memorial Hospital in Hardinsburg. He retired from Willamette Industries and was an Army veteran.
Survivors include his wife, Norma Moore; a daughter, Cindy Scott; and three sons, Andy Moore, Jimmy Davidson and Joe Davidson.
Services: Noon Monday at Trent-Dowell Funeral Home. Visitation: From 3 to 8 p.m. today and after 8:30 a.m. Monday at the funeral home. Burial: Cave Spring cemetery near Westview.
James Darrell Abell

James Darrell Abell, 68, of 6101 Old Highway 54, Philpot, died Tuesday, Nov. 30, 2004, at the home of his daughter. He retired from S.W. Anderson Department Store. He was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, K of C Chapter 2046 Whitesville, 3rd Degree, Daviess County Lions Club and he was a Kentucky Colonel. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Jo Abell; his parents, Lloyd and Bessie Cooper Abell; his daughter, Becky Conder; his brother, Carl Abell; and his sister, Maxine Rhodes.
Mr. Abell is survived by one son, Glenn Abell and wife Laquita of Owensboro; two daughters, Debbie Embry and husband Bob of Owensboro and Patty Hines and husband Bobby of Philpot; four brothers, Robert H. (Dugger) Abell of Whitesville, William R. Abell of Fordsville, Kenneth Abell of Louisville and Donnie Abell of Bluff, Ill.; one sister, Shirley Coomes of Louisville; nine grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Services will be held at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church at noon Friday, Dec. 3, 2004. Visitation will be on Thursday, Dec. 2, 2004, from 3 to 8 p.m. at Glenn Funeral Home with prayers at 6 p.m. Burial will be in Resurrection cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice.
Charles Raymond 'Barney' Barnett

Charles Raymond "Barney" Barnett, 76, of 1614 W. Parrish Ave., Owensboro, died Wednesday, Dec. 8, 2004, at Hermitage Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Owensboro. He was born May 17, 1928, to the late Archie Rogg Barnett and Martha Ray Barnett. He retired from the maintenance department of Swedish Match. He was a member of Karns Grove Baptist Church. He enjoyed stock car racing, gardening, antique tractors, hunting, fishing and liked barbecuing. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Margie Raymond Barnett, on March 25, 1990; his stepmother, Cliffie Barnett, in 1988; a sister, Beulah Jewell; two brothers, James W. Barnett and James Franklin Decker; and a son, Charles Barnett Jr.
He is survived by his beloved companion, Helen Harris; his beloved son, Charles Richard Edgell of Hartford; his beloved daughter, Mary Carolyn Barnett of Dacula, Ga.; eight beloved grandchildren, Ricky Lee Edgell, Mary McCrystal, Charlene Downing, Jacqueline Calhoun, Carolyn Hall, Connie Martin, James Steven Barnett and Mary Stanley; 20 beloved great-grandchildren; two beloved great-great-grandchildren; a beloved brother, Homer Ray of Owensboro; two beloved sisters, Nancy Ray Miller of Nashville and Catherine Moore of Evansville; and many beloved nieces, nephews and friends.
Services are at 10 a.m. Friday, Dec. 10, at James H. Davis Funeral Home chapel in Owensboro. Burial is in South Hampton Baptist Church cemetery in Daviess County. Visitation is from 2 to 8 p.m. today and after 9 a.m. Friday at the funeral home.
