Mary Christine Clouse, 87, passed away 6-15-06 at Riverside Manor Health Care Center, Calhoun, KY. She formerly lived at 9909 Cummings Rd., Owensboro and was a homemaker. She was a member of St. Alphonsus Catholic Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Robert Clouse, in 1978, her parents, John Lawrence Dant and Mary Etta Fulkerson Dant, a son, Thomas Garland Clouse, in 1964, son-in-law, John Robert Fogle, 1-06, a grandson, John Allen Fogle, 1996, brothers, Sylvester (Chick) Dant and Roy Dant, Sister, Elizabeth Wright and sister-in-law, Imogene (Jean) Dant.
Mrs. Clouse is survived by daughters, Patricia Lucille Fogle, Martha Louise Young and her husband, Dudley, both of Owensboro., Carol Head and her husband, Gerald, Sorgho, and Sharron Gayle Hayden and her husband, Doug of Buckskin, Ind. Sons: James Clouse and his wife, Mary Ann of Owensboro, Joseph

Paul Joseph (Jody) Grant, 63, of Owensboro, passed away 6-16-06 at his home. He was born 5-10-43 in Daviess County to the late James Grant and Alberta Theresa Gaw Grant. Mr. Grant was a retired farmer and was a member of Immaculate Catholic Church and a 22 member of Alcohol Anonymous and enjoyed NASCAR, his children and grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Steven Grant, in 2005. He is survived by his long time companion, Martha Kramer and a daughter, Elizabeth S. Grant and sons, Benjamin R. Grant, and his wife, Tabitha, Parksley, VA and Andrew J. Grant and his wife, Patricia. Four grandchildren, Jessica Grant, Tyler Grant, Meredith Grant and Bryson Grant. Sisters are, Margaret Frey and her husband, George, Sara Thomas and her husband, Raymond, Patsy Hartz and her husband, Johnny, all of Owesboro and Rachel Roth and her husband, Jim, Louisville. Virginia A. Collins, 92 of 806 Live Oak Place, Owensboro, went to be with the Lord on June 14, 2006 at her home. She was born on June 14, 1914 in Stanley, Ky. to the late William Edgar Millay and the late Leona Mackey Millay. She was a member of Blessed Mother Catholic Church. She was preceded in death by her husband of 49years, Hugh T. Collins onf December 28, 1983. Also a grandson, Adam Sims on May 10, 2001; two brothers, Sterling Millay and Tom Millay and one sister, Benetta Jones. Surviving are two sons; Charles F. Collins and his wife, Joan of Owensboro, David L. Collins and his wife, Sandra of Cadiz; two daughters, Barbara J. Murphy and her husband, Mort and Mary Ann Sims and her husband, Gilbert of Owensboro; 15 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild. Also surviving is one sister, Beatrice Keeler of Austin, Tx in addition to many nieces and nephews. DeForest L. (Mac) McEntire, 78 of Owensboro, KY, passed away from this world on Sunday, October 1, 2006. He was preceded in death by his parents, Larry Forston McEntire and Virginia Mae (Houchin) McEntire; one sister, LaVerne (McEntire) Buechler; and one brother, Noble D.McEntire. He was beloved by his first and only wife of 58years, who survives, Dorothy Jean Colin McEntire. He is also survived by three sons, Dee Lynn McEntire of Nashville, Tn., Danny Dee McEntire of Owensboro, David Dee McEntire and his wife, Kerri of Owensboro; two daughters, Sharel Jean Moorman and her husband, Robert G. Moorman, Sr. of Dale, Indiana and Laurie Jean Yocum and her husband, K. Randall Yocum of Glasgow, Ky. Robert Lee Bennett, 40 of 2307 Citation Avenue Owensboro, died Monday, October 2, 2006, at Norton Suburban Hospital in Louisville. He was born February 16, 1966, in Cincinnati. He was a Navy Veteran of 12 years and was deployed on the nuclear submarine USS John Calhoun. He was a member of St. John's Methodist Church. He was preceded in death by his mother, Donna Brown Bennett, in 2000. Survivors include his father, Perry Bennett of Owensboro; two sisters, Stephanie Lynn Austin and her husband, Charles of Lawrenceburg and Mary Paulette Bennett of Owensboro; and three nieces and one nephew. Services are at 3pm. Wednesday, October 4, 2006 at Haley-McGinnis Funeral Home chapel, with Brother Jeff Eaton officiating. Burial will be in Owensboro Memorial Gardens will full military honors. Nicholas Gilmore, 54, of Owensboro, passed away, 9-29-06 at his home. He was born 6-13-52 in Louisville KY. He was employed at Ritzy's of Evansville for 14 years and Ritzy's of Owensboro for 6 years as a manager. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army National Guard. Mr. Gilmore was a member of Apollo Heights Baptist Church and enjoyed gardening, music and his grandson. He was preceded in death by his father, Miles Gilmore, 2 brothers, Kim Gilmore and Gaylon Gilmore. He is survived by his wife of 34 years, JoAnn Rice Gilmore of Owensboro, a daughter, Mandy Gilmore of Owensboro, 2 sons, Jimmy Gilmore, and his wife, Kristi of Owensboro, Chris Gilmore of Shreveport LA., a grandson, Gavin Gilmore of Owensboro and his mother, Eugenia Potter Gilmore. Timothy John Ballard, 39, of Owensboro, died Wednesday, September 27, 2006. He was born to Alva Ray(Butch) Ballard and Mary Ereka(Nancy)Hamberg Ballard November 23, 1966 in Owensboro.
Tim was a master carpenter, very proficient in framing, trimming, building staircases and taking cutting edge building concepts from blueprints and making them a reality for some of Owensboro's top builders such as Benny Clark.
Tim enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He lived life with vigor, completely pouring himself into every thing he did including work and play. Tim was preceeded in death by his step-father, Arthur H. Smith, in August, 1995.
Survivors include his mother, Mary E. Smith and her companion, Darell Rice; father, Alva Ray(Butch)Ballard and step-mother, Dianne Huff Ballard; a brother, Alan Ray Ballard and his wife, Michaela (Michi) Ballard and their three sons, Michael, Cameron and Dalton; a sister, Kimberly Stogner and her husband, Tim Stogner and their three sons, David, Jon and Weiss; one step-brother, Tobert (Bob) Huff and his wife, Denise and their son, Derek and daughter, Veronica; three step-sisters, Jeanie Lewis and her husband, Pat and their children, Nathan, Sara, Michael and Rebekah, Stacey Melton and her husband, Kevin and their three children, Dillin, Dustin, Devin, Dianna and Dakota, Tammy Schleis and her busband Kevin and their daughters Brittney and Brianne; also surviving are numerous uncles, aunts and cousins.

She was a member of Hall Street Baptist Church, enjoyed bowling, aquasize, enjoyed flowers. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Cisero Snyder in February, 1984; second husband, Hollan Hines, March, 2000. Surviving are her son, Rev. Gary Snyder and his wife, Janice of Cadiz, Ky.; grandson, Alan Snyder of Lewiston, Idaho, granddaughter, Kimberly Ward of Pierce, Idaho, Great-grandson, Chad Ward of Lewiston, Idaho, Great-Granddaughters, Alisha and Ashton Ward, Brittany Snyder and Alexya Snyder, great-great-granddaughter, Kendall Marie Johnson; brother, James Stevens and his wife, Reba of Owensboro; sister, Jane Leek of Owensboro. Woodrow Keil Salgren, 9l of 3503 Neilie Bly Dr., Louisville, Ky. died on March 11, 2007 at Hillcreek Nursing Home in Louisville. He was born in Clear Lake, Wisconsin to the late Lenis P. Salgren and Lottie Lunquist Salgren. He was retired from Vocational Tech as a Welding Instructor were he taught for 17years. He was a member of Bethlaham Baptist Church in Louisville, a member of VFW of Falls of Rough. He was a veteran of USARMY Air Corps, 504th Fighter Squadron, based in Falmire, England during WWII. He taught welding in Owensboro Vocational School for 17years before he retired in 1980. He was also preceded in death by his brother, John Salgren of Owensboro. Surviving are his wife of 25years of marriage, Mildred Salgren; foster-daughter, Mrs. Millie Capps and her husband, Wayne of Owensboro; step-sons, Thomas T. Shown of Jeffersonville, Indiana, Herbert D. Shown and his wife, Helen of Jeffersonville, Indiana; two foster grandchildren. Services are at 12pm.
