Gilbert L. "Gil" Husk, 41, of 1936 E. 6th St., Owensboro, died Tuesday, Nov. 13, 2001, at Owensboro Mercy Health System. The Daviess County native graduated from Daviess County High School in 1979 and enjoyed black powder shooting, deer hunting and fishing.
Survivors include his parents, Dorothy and Gilbert Husk of Owensboro; and a sister, Erma Hanks of Owensboro.
Services are at 2:30 p.m. Friday at Glenn Funeral Home chapel in Owensboro. Burial will be in Mount Zion cemetery in Daviess County. Visitation is from 2 to 8 p.m. Thursday and after 10 a.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Steven Michael Bruton

Steven Michael Bruton, 48, of 2301 Crescent Hill Drive, Owensboro, died Thursday, Nov. 22, 2001, at Owensboro Mercy Health System. The Detroit native was chairman of the board, chief technological officer and systems engineer at Integranetics and graduated from Leadership Owensboro.
Survivors include his wife, Karen Boteler Bruton; three sons, Michael Joseph Bruton, Nicholas Regan Bruton and Ethan Alexander Bruton, all of Owensboro; his father, James Bruton of Owensboro; and two brothers, Kevin Bruton of Owensboro and Jim Bruton of Lebanon.
Services are at 10 a.m. Monday at Glenn Funeral Home in Owensboro. Burial will be in Resurrection cemetery in Owensboro. Visitation is from 1 to 8 p.m. Sunday and after 8:30 a.m. Monday at the funeral home. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to American Cancer Society.
Robert D. 'Bob' Westerfield

Robert D. "Bob" Westerfield, 65, of 1513 Hill Ave., Owensboro, died there Friday, Nov. 16, 2001. The Daviess County native was an electrician with International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local 58 and was a member of Immaculate Catholic Church.
Survivors include two sons, David Robert Westerfield of Glenview, Ill., and Scott Gerald Westerfield of Chicago; two grandchildren; a brother, Kenneth Westerfield of Whitesville; two sisters, Wilma Howard and Judy Stefanopoulos, both of Owensboro; and a stepsister, Jean McCarty of Owensboro.
Services are at 11 a.m. Monday at Immaculate Catholic Church. Burial will be in Resurrection cemetery in Owensboro. Visitation is from 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday and after 9 a.m. Monday at Glenn Funeral Home in Owensboro. Prayers will be said at 3:30 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. James Lee Burdette, 51, of 5605 Kentucky 144, Owensboro, died Wednesday, Nov. 21, 2001, at Owensboro Mercy Health System. The Daviess County native was a plumber estimator at Ernie Davis & Sons Mechanical Inc. for 22 years and a member of SS. Joseph & Paul Catholic Church. He was a Navy veteran and enjoyed fish, game and classic cruisers.
Survivors include his wife of 11 years, Stasha Burdette; two sons, Thomas Lee Burdette and Brandon Edward Burdette, both at home; three daughters, Tiffany Lee Burdette of Owensboro, Aliena Willoughby of Atlanta and Christy K. Jones of Norfolk, Va.; his mother, Dora Burdette of Owensboro; a brother, Thomas Burdette of Philpot; and four sisters, Ann Castlen, Linda McDonald, Barbara Wade and Mary Bartlett, all of Owensboro.
Services are at 10 a.m. Saturday at SS. Joseph & Paul Catholic Church in Owensboro. Burial will be in Owensboro Memorial Gardens. Visitation is from 2 to 8 p.m. Friday and from 8 to 9:30 a.m. Saturday at Haley-McGinnis & Owensboro Funeral Home. Prayers will be said at 7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
James E. Ferguson

CROMWELL - James E. Ferguson, 77, of Cromwell died Monday, Nov. 12, 2001, at Ohio County Hospital in Hartford. The Ohio County native retired from construction and was a Navy veteran of World War II. He was preceded in death by his wife, Audrey Bishop Ferguson, on July 20, 1995; and a daughter, Mary Ann Towe, on Aug. 9, 1989.
Survivors include a son, James Ray Ferguson of Lexington; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and a sister, Ethel Parks of St. Louis.
Services are at 1 p.m. Thursday at William L. Danks Funeral Home in Beaver Dam. Burial will be in Sunnyside cemetery in Beaver Dam. Visitation is from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday and after 9 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Jennifer Graham Lott, 34, of 218 Lakewood Drive, Owensboro, died Sunday, Nov. 11, 2001, at Owensboro Mercy Health System. The Greenville native was a therapeutic registered nurse at Hager Preschool and member of Owensboro Christian Church. She graduated from Owensboro High School in 1985, received an associate degree in nursing from Kentucky Wesleyan College in 1996 and was active in Girl Scouts.
Survivors include a son, Greyson Lott, at home; a daughter, Devyn Lott, at home; her father and stepmother, John R. and Shirley Graham of Louisville; her mother, Margie Banks Graham of Louisville; four sisters, Gretchen Mahoney of Utica, Kelly Embry of Owensboro and LeeAnne Graham and Mindy Gagel, both of Louisville; a stepbrother, Jay Roberts of St. Albans, W.Va.; and a stepsister, Leigh Cameron of Atlanta.
Memorial services are at 3 p.m. Wednesday at Owensboro Christian Church. Private entombment will be in Resurrection cemetery in Owensboro. Visitation is from 4 to 8 p.m. today and from noon to 2:30 p.m. Wednesday at James H. Davis Funeral Home in Owensboro. Dessie M. Gordon, 89, of 5043 Old Hartford Road, Owensboro, died Sunday, Nov. 18, 2001, at Owensboro Mercy Health System. The Daviess County native was a member of First Christian Church and enjoyed flowers, sewing and spending time with cats. Her husband, Herman Gordon, died in 1964.
Survivors include a son, Gene Gordon of Maceo; two daughters, Betty Clark and Linda Ward, both of Owensboro; 10 grandchildren; a stepgrandson; 11 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and a half brother, Charlie McDaniel of Evansville.

Theresa "Tommie" Haynes, 81, of 822 E. Third St., Owensboro, died Thursday, Nov. 15, 2001, at Owensboro Mercy Health System. The Daviess County native retired from General Electric after 30 years of service. She was a member of SS. Joseph & Paul Catholic Church and enjoyed bowling and crossword puzzles.
Survivors include a sister, Margaret "Tillie" Smith of Owensboro; two nephews; and two nieces.
Services are at 1 p.m. Saturday at Glenn Funeral Home in Owensboro. Burial will be in St. Williams Catholic cemetery. Visitation is after 9:30 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.

BROWDER - Virginia Orange Cartwright, 79, of Browder died Tuesday, Nov. 20, 2001, at Muhlenberg Community Hospital in Greenville. The Muhlenberg County native was a homemaker and a Pentecostal.
Survivors include her husband, Vance Cartwright; a daughter, Della Roberson of Browder; three grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandchild; a brother, Bud Orange Jr. of Browder; and a sister, Ida Graham of Hammond, Ind.
Services are at 11 a.m. Friday at Tucker Funeral Home in Beechmont. Burial will be in Forest Grove cemetery in Browder. Visitation is after 6 p.m. today at the funeral home.

HAWESVILLE - Doris H. Gray, 89, of Hawesville died Saturday, Nov. 17, 2001, at Perry County Memorial Hospital in Tell City, Ind. The Hancock County native retired from Kentucky State Highway Department and was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Hawesville. His wife, Pauline Gray, died in 1980.
Survivors include six sons, Harold Gray of Louisville and Bob Gray, Clayton Gray, Herman Gray, Carl Gray and Donnie Gray, all of Hawesville; a daughter, Jeanie Hanks of Hawesville; 29 grandchildren; 41 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; four brothers, James Gray, John Gray and Frank Gray, all of Hawesville, and Grover Gray of Tell City; three sisters, Hazel Hale and Amanda Sage Critcheloe, both of Hawesville, and Catherine Volocko of Johnstown, Pa; and several nephews and nieces.
Services are at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Hawesville. Burial will be in Mount Calvary cemetery in Hawesville. Visitation is after 2 p.m. today and until 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Gibson & Son Funeral Home in Hawesville. Prayers will be said at 6 p.m. today at the funeral home. CLOVERPORT - Jamie Poole, 26, of Cloverport died Wednesday, Nov. 14, 2001, in Breckinridge County from injuries suffered in a truck accident. The Orlando, Fla., native had attended Frederick Fraize School in Cloverport and the Breckinridge County Vocational School in Hardinsburg to be an automobile mechanic. He worked at Campbell Hausfield in Leitchfield and enjoyed fishing and four-wheeler riding.
Survivors include his fiancee, Billie Jo Stillwell of Custer; a son, Tyler Baur of Tell City, Ind.; a daughter, Crystal Miller of Hardinsburg; his mother, Vivian Poole of Cloverport; a brother, James Gatton of Cloverport; and two sisters, Pat Gatton of Watertown, N.Y., and Brenda Poole of Evansville.
Services are at 2 p.m. Saturday at Wallace Funeral Home in Cloverport. Burial will be in Sand Knob cemetery. Visitation is from 3:30 to 8 p.m. today and after 8 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
