Henry E. Green, 71, of Livermore died Thursday, April 15, 1999, at Owensboro Mercy Health System. He was born in Daviess County and was a member of St. Sebastian Parish in Calhoun. He was an Army veteran of the Korean War and retired from Peters Construction.
Survivors include his wife, Veradean Hamilton; a son, Staff Sgt. Henry G. Green of Fort Knox; a stepson, Ray Hamilton of Whitesville; two daughters, Rachel Wahler of Utica and Sarah Bivens of Bowling Green; a stepdaughter, Regina Revlett of Island; six grandchildren; 10 stepgrandchildren; five stepgreat-grandchildren; a brother, Joseph Green of Sorgho; and two sisters, Ollie Hagan and Margaret Hutchinson, both of Owensboro.
Services are at 2 p.m. Monday at Precious Blood Catholic Church in Owensboro. Burial will be in Resurrection cemetery in Philpot. Visitation is from 2 to 8 p.m. Sunday and from 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Monday at Haley-McGinnis & Owensboro Funeral Home. Prayers will be said at 6 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
James Herbert Conkright

James Herbert Conkright, 49, of Benton died Wednesday, April 14, 1999, in Benton from injuries suffered in an automobile accident. He was born in Owensboro, was a Marine Corps veteran and was an insulation worker for the Asbestos Workers Local 37. He was a member of St. Pius X Catholic Church in Calvert City and was a 3rd Degree member of Knights of Columbus.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Hinkebein Conkright; two sons, Mark Conkright and Michael Conkright, both of Benton; two daughters, Amber Conkright and Michele Conkright, both of Benton; his mother, Mary Kennedy Conkright of Owensboro; four brothers, Charles Conkright and Dave Conkright, both of Paducah, Richard Conkright of Owensboro and Douglas Long of Orlando, Fla.; and a sister, Frances Hall of Fordsville.
Services are at 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Pius X Catholic Church. Burial will be in Marshall County Memory Garden cemetery in Benton. Visitation is after 5 p.m. today at Collier Funeral Home Inc. in Benton.
Marcellus Brizendine 'Briz' Wynne

CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. - Marcellus Brizendine "Briz" Wynne, 83, of Clarksville died Thursday, Dec. 3, 1998, at his home. He was born in Greenville, was a Navy veteran of World War II and retired from Jenkins & Wynne Motor Co., where he was a former co-owner. He was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Clarksville and was involved in several community activities. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Swann Wynne.
Survivors include two sisters, Mamie Nell Durham of Central City and Carrie Sue Coombs of Goodlettsville, Tenn.; several nephews and nieces; and three great-nephews and great-nieces.
Services are at noon Saturday at McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home Chapel in Clarksville. Burial will be in Greenwood cemetery in Clarksville. Visitation is from 4 to 8 p.m. today and after 10 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home. BEAVER DAM - Nola Barnes, 94, of Horse Branch died Monday, Nov. 30, 1998, at Ohio County Hospital in Hartford. She was born in Horse Branch and retired as a postal clerk from Horse Branch Post Office. She was a member of Rockport, Ky., Presbyterian Church and Rosine Chapter Order of the Eastern Star No. 342. She was preceded in death by her husband, Claud Elmer Barnes on Sept. 14, 1952; a son, Claud "Bud" Barnes Jr. on May 16, 1975; and a daughter, Mary Helen Smith in 1996.
Survivors include one grandchild; two stepgrandchildren; and three stepgreat-grandchildren.
Services are at 11 a.m. Thursday at William L. Danks Funeral Home Chapel in Beaver Dam. Burial will be in Horse Branch cemetery. Visitation is from 4 to 8 p.m. today and after 9 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
Dr. Robert Frederick Sears Jr.

CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. - Dr. Robert Frederick Sears Jr., 57, of Clarksville, formerly of Hawesville, died Wednesday, April 14, 1999, at Gateway Medical Center of Clarksville. He was born in Warren County, earned his doctorate in physics from the University of Colorado in 1968 and was the chair of the Department of Physics at Austin Peay State University. He was a deacon of First Baptist Church in Clarksville and was president-elect of the American Association of Physics Teachers.
Survivors include his wife, Ann Snyder Sears; a son, Derek J. Sears of Bowling Green; two daughters, Tekla Sears Palmore of Cedar Hill, Tenn., and Amanda Sears Mayes of Clarksville; two grandchildren; his mother, Virginia Buchanon Sears of Alvaton; three brothers, Billy Sears and Albert Sears, both of Alvaton, and David Sears of Lake Cormarant, Miss.; and two sisters, Nancy Sears of Huntsville, Texas, and Patricia Bunch of Bowling Green.
Services are at 11 a.m. Saturday at First Baptist Church. Burial will be in Greenwood cemetery in Clarksville. Visitation is from 2 to 8 p.m. today and from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Saturday at McReynolds-Nave & Larson Chapel in Clarksville. Marty Jerome Howard Sr., 40, of 608 Hathaway St., Owensboro, died Friday, April 16, 1999, at Owensboro Mercy Health System. He was born in Owensboro, was a member of Tenth Street Missionary Baptist Church and enjoyed music.
Survivors include his wife, Sharon Howard; two sons, Marty Howard Jr. and Roger Howard, both of Owensboro; two stepsons, Lee Cave of Louisville and Mark Cave of Owensboro; a daughter, Latisha Howard of Owensboro; a stepdaughter, Tracy Cave of Lexington; his parents, Joseph Sr. and Katie Howard of Owensboro; two brothers, Clarence Davidson Sr. and Joseph Howard Jr., both of Owensboro; two sisters, Kathleen Fletcher and Vanessa Howard, both of Owensboro; and several nephews and nieces.

Grace Jolly Fitzgerald, 84, of 530 Yale Place, Owensboro, died Friday, April 16, 1999, at Owensboro Mercy Health System. She was born in Ohio County, was a member of Third Baptist Church and a former member of Southerland Homemakers Club and Senior Citizens.
Survivors include two sons, Patrick Fitzgerald of Indianapolis and Floyd Fitzgerald of Jackson, Tenn.; six grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; a brother, the Rev. Herman L. Jolly of Anderson, Mo.; and six sisters, Pauline Boyd, Beatrice Abshier and Lena Stewart, all of Owensboro, Anne Woodard of Portland, Tenn., Wilma Higgs of Raytown, Mo., and Francis Quigg of Anderson.

Julia Lewis Easton, 76, of Louisville, formerly of Owensboro, died Friday, April 16, 1999, in Louisville. She was born in Cloverport and graduated from Mount St. Joseph Junior College and the University of Louisville School of Music. She was a member of St. Edward Church in Jeffersontown and retired as a piano teacher from the University of Louisville School of Music. She was preceded in death by her husband, R. Carl Easton.
Survivors include 12 children; and three sisters, Catherine Lewis of Owensboro; Nancy Sturgill of Prestonsburg, and Emeline Burckle of San Clemente, Calif.
Services are at 7 p.m. EDT Monday at St. Edward Catholic Church in Jeffersontown. Visitation is from 1 to 5 p.m. EDT Sunday and from 3 to 6 EDT Monday at Commonwealth Funeral Home, 9318 Taylorsville Road, Jeffersontown.

Kathryn Edmonson Davis, 78, of Albuquerque, N.M., formerly of Owensboro, died April 10, 1999, in Albuquerque after a long battle with lung disease. She was employed as a Metropolitan Life Insurance agent in Owensboro.
Survivors include a son, Dr. Ted Davis of Albuquerque; a grandchild; two brothers, Charles D. Edmonson of Louisville and W.R. Edmonson of Denver; and several cousins.

Nellie Brewer Baker, 91, of Owensboro, formerly of Drakesboro, died Thursday, April 15, 1999, at Owensboro Mercy Health System. She was born in Muhlenberg County, was a member of Union Chapel General Baptist Church in Ennis and retired as a school teacher and librarian. Her husband, Estill Baker died in 1986.
Survivors include a son, Thomas Baker of Owensboro; a daughter, June Hutchison of Denton, Texas; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Services are at 2 p.m. Sunday at Tucker Funeral Home in Central City. Burial will be in Rose Hill cemetery in Central City. Visitation is from 4:30 to 8 p.m. today and after 10 a.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

KINGSWOOD - Kathryn Howard, 79, of Kingswood died Friday, Jan. 29, 1999, at her home. She was born in Breckinridge County and was a homemaker. She as preceded in death by her husband, Clarence J. Howard, in 1984.
Survivors include two sons, Curtis Howard of Hardinsburg and Johnny Howard of Kingswood; a daughter, Shirley Meredith of Leitchfield; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; three step grandchildren; four step great-grandchildren; a brother, Roy Kiper of Kingswood; and several nephews and nieces.

DRAKESBORO - G.W. "Beanie" Barber, 77, of Drakesboro died Tuesday, March 3, 1998, at the Regional Medical Center in Madisonville. He was born in Muhlenberg County, was a retired coal miner and was of the General Baptist faith.
Survivors include his wife, Dorothy Dukes Barber; three sons, Gibbie Darrell Barber of Huntsville, Ala., Raymond Barber and Wallace Lee Barber, both of Drakesboro; six daughters, Sandra Smith of Drakesboro, Paulette Miller of Browder, Donna Williams of Central City, Carolyn Nole of Sebree, Rita Gish of Bremen and Mary Ford of Leland, N.C.; 24 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; three brothers, Bobby Barber of Central City, Junior Barber of Blythesville, Ark., and Harold Barber of Huntsville; three sisters, Gladys Knight of Beechmont, Jonell Knight of Pontiac, Mich., and Linda Taylor of Lake Station, Ind.; and several nephews and nieces.
Services are at 2 p.m. Friday at Tucker Funeral Home in Central City. Burial will be in Peanut cemetery in Drakesboro. Visitation is after 6 p.m. today, after 8 a.m. Thursday and after 8 a.m. Friday at the funeral home.
