MORGANTOWN - Thomas H. Hudnall, 79, of Morgantown died Friday, April 30, 1999, in Morgantown. He was born in Butler County, retired as a farmer and was a member of Big Muddy Baptist Church and Cassia Lodge 272 F&AM.
Survivors include his wife, Marguerite Hudnall; a daughter, Sue Grise of Morgantown; a stepdaughter, Nyla Van Fleet of Huntsville; three grandchildren; two stepgrandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; a sister, Maxine Boucher of Utica; and several nephews and nieces.
Services are at 2 p.m. Sunday at Big Muddy Baptist Church. Burial will be in Big Muddy cemetery. Visitation is after 11 a.m. today and from 9 a.m. to noon Sunday at Jones Funeral Chapel in Morgantown and after 12:30 p.m. Sunday at the church. Masonic services will be at 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.

HARDINSBURG - Pauline Mercer, 96, of Hardinsburg died Friday, April 30, 1999, at Breckinridge Memorial Hospital. She was born in Breckinridge County, was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church in Louisville and retired from Gentry Brace Company in Louisville.
Survivors include a daughter, Dolores Golden of Hardinsburg; two grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Services are at 2 p.m. Sunday at Trent-Dowell Funeral Home in Hardinsburg. Burial will be in Hudson cemetery. Visitation is after 4 p.m. today at the funeral home.

CENTRAL CITY - William Thomas Scott, 76, of Central City died Friday, April 30, 1999, at his home. He was born in Muhlenberg County, was a coal miner and was a member of New Hope Missionary Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Anthony E. Smith Scott; a son, Terry Lynn Scott of Grand Rivers; a daughter, Marsha Gail Bullock of Central City; three grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and two brothers, Kenneth Scott of Central City and Delbert Scott of Evansville.
Services are at 1:30 p.m. Sunday at Tucker Funeral Home in Central City. Burial will be in New Hope cemetery in Moorman. Visitation is from 5 to 9 p.m. today and after 8 a.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
Bonnie Lee Wilson

WHITESVILLE - Bonnie Lee Wilson, 57, of Whitesville died Thursday, April 29, 1999, at her home. She was born in Louisville, was of the Baptist faith and was employed at Sumitomo Electric in Morgantown. She was preceded in death by her son, Barry Wilson, in June 1988.
Survivors include her husband, Marvin Wilson; a daughter, Theresa Hagan of Whitesville; one grandchild; three brothers, Billy Casey, Charles Casey and Donald Bratcher, all of Caneyville; four sisters, Edna Ashley of Morgantown, Shirley Dockery of Horse Branch and Eleanor Beasley and Doris Renfrow, both of Dundee; and several nephews and nieces.
Services are at 2 p.m. Sunday at Cecil Funeral Home in Whitesville. Burial will be in Cates cemetery in Whitesville. Visitation is after 1:30 p.m. today and after 9 a.m. Sunday at the funeral home. CENTRAL CITY - James Raleigh Arnold, 81, of Central City died Tuesday, April 27, 1999, at Welborn Baptist Hospital in Evansville. He was born in McLean County, retired from the Navy and served in World War II and the Korean War.
Survivors include a brother, Bennie Arnold of Newburgh, Ind.; a sister, Walfreda Metcalf of San Diego; and several nephews and nieces.
Services are at 10 a.m. Friday at Tucker Funeral Home in Central City. Burial will be in Poplar Grove cemetery in McLean County. Visitation is from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Gordon F. Lawson

Gordon F. Lawson, 67, of 2660 Windsor Ave., Owensboro, died Wednesday, April 28, 1999, at his home. He was born in Council Bluffs, Iowa, served in the Navy for four years and was a veteran of the Korean War. He retired as general agent from Illinois Central Railroad after 33 years, was chairman of the Col. Charles E. Shelton Freedom Memorial and volunteered for the Retired Senior Volunteer Program. He was a member of the American Legion, Owensboro chapter of the National Railroad Historical Society and the R.O.M.E.O. Group at Hardee's restaurant. He was a lifetime member of the Disabled American Veterans, Veterans of Foreign Wars and AMVETS. He was the current Disabled American Veterans State Service officer and was a former member of the Kentucky Center for Veterans Affairs.
Survivors include his wife of 48 years, Jane Mercer Lawson; a son, Steve G. Lawson of Memphis, Tenn.; two daughters, Jan Lawson of Cardiff By The Sea, Calif., and Susan Lawson of LaCosta, Calif.; two grandchildren; and two sisters, Barbara Bader and Betty Faith, both of Owensboro.
Services are at 11:30 a.m. Saturday at James H. Davis Funeral Home Chapel in Owensboro. Burial will be in Rosehill cemetery in Owensboro. Virginia Leek McCoy, 86, of Roosevelt House I, 2920 Yale Place, Owensboro, died Wednesday, April 28, 1999, at Bon Harbor Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Owensboro. She was born in Daviess County, was formerly employed as an office clerk at Glenmore Distillery and was a member of Seven Hills Baptist Church in Owensboro. Her husband, James McCoy, died Dec. 17, 1983.
Survivors include a son, Jimmie R. Leek of Owensboro; one grandchild; one great-grandchild; a brother, Ernie Hoagland of Owensboro; and three sisters, Dorothy Leek and Grace Norris, both of Owensboro, and Elizabeth Lancaster of Richmond, Va.

FORDSVILLE - William B. McDonald, 78, of Fordsville died Wednesday, April 28, 1999, at his home. He was born in Daviess County; retired from Crabtree Equipment Co. in Owensboro; and was a member of Adaburg Baptist Church, where he was a deacon and a Sunday school teacher. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Barbara McDonald, in 1982; and a daughter, Sharon McDonald, in 1957.
Survivors include his wife, Versie McDonald; three sons, David McDonald of Reynolds Station and John McDonald and Parker McDonald, both of Fordsville; a stepson, Rexel Taylor of Owensboro; a stepdaughter, Doris Martin of Owensboro; six grandchildren; several stepgrandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and a brother, Harvey McDonald of Owensboro.

Monie Rayman Powers, 65, of 600 Wing Ave., Owensboro, died Tuesday, April 27, 1999, at Owensboro Mercy Health System. She was born in Daviess County, retired as a stem operator from General Electric Co. after 20 years and was a homemaker. She was a member of Golden Partners and Wing Avenue Baptist Church in Owensboro, where she served on several committees. She was preceded in death by her husband, Shirley E. Powers, in 1994; and a son, Steven L. Shock, in 1991.
Survivors include a son, Kevin Shock of Central City; three daughters, Vicki Alvey of Owensboro, Kelly Bartlett of Knottsville and Angie Roberts of Philpot; two stepsons, Terry Powers of Nashville and Barry Powers of Owensboro; three stepdaughters, Cindy Moffett and Anetta Francis, both of Owensboro, and Jeanetta Powers of Paducah; six grandchildren; 10 stepgrandchildren; one great-grandchild; one stepgreat-grandchild; three brothers, Carl Rayman and Forrest Raymond, both of Owensboro, and John Rayman of Lincoln, Neb.; and a sister, Betty Elmore of Jeffersonville, Ind.

Quesnell J. Sadler, 81, of Bishop Soenneker Home, Knottsville, died Wednesday, April 28, 1999, at Owensboro Mercy Health System. He was born in Ohio County and formerly attended Bells Run Baptist Church in Ohio County. He retired as a saw mill worker and a farmer. He was preceded in death by his wife, Georgiana Faught Sadler.
Survivors include a stepdaughter, Margaret Sue Faught of St. Louis; two stepgrandchildren; and a sister, Martha Hamilton of Owensboro.

CENTERTOWN - Nancy A. Powers, 93, of Deltona, Fla., formerly of Centertown, died Friday, April 23, 1999, at Mariner Healthcare in DeBary, Fla. She was born in Paintsville, was a homemaker and a member of West Point Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Earl Powers, in 1989, and her daughter, Mary Kathryn James, in 1998.
Survivors include a son, Jesse H. Powers of Deltona; six grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and eight great-great-grandchildren.
Services are at 11 a.m. Monday at Duke-Bevil Bros. Funeral Home in Centertown. Burial will be in Bell cemetery in Matanzas. Visitation is from 4 to 8 p.m. today and after 9 a.m. Monday at the funeral home.

BEAVER DAM - L.J. Hines, 83, of Beaver Dam died Saturday, April 24, 1999, at Ohio County Hospital in Hartford. He was born in Butler County, was an Army veteran of World War II and a member of Beaver Dam United Methodist Church. He was owner of Beaver Dam Building Supply and retired as an agent for Standard Oil. He was preceded in death by his wife, Katherine Mae Hines, on Aug. 8, 1989.
Survivors include two daughters, Judith Davenport and Edith Rice, both of Beaver Dam; three grandchildren; five stepgrandchildren; a great-grandchild; six stepgreat-grandchildren; and two brothers, Walton Hines and Maurice Hines, both of Morgantown.
Services are at 2 p.m. Monday at William L. Danks Funeral Home in Beaver Dam. Burial will be in Riverview cemetery in Morgantown.
