Tollie Bell McDaniel Hidenrite, 72, of 917 McGill Ave., Owensboro, died Thursday, Dec. 3, 1998, at Owensboro Mercy Health System. She was born in Daviess County and was a member of Settle Memorial United Methodist Church. She enjoyed quilting, crocheting, embroidery and gardening and was a Cincinnati Reds fan. She was preceded in death by her husband, James R. Hidenrite, Nov. 15, 1982; and a son, William Lee Hidenrite, in 1996.
Survivors include three sons, James R. Hidenrite Jr. of San Antonio, Jerry W. Hidenrite Sr. of Maceo and John Edward Hidenrite of Owensboro; two daughters, Anna Sue Wright of Utica and Sarah Mae Haynes of Owensboro; 14 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and a brother, Craig McDaniel of San Luis Obispo, Calif.
Services are at 1 p.m. Monday at James H. Davis Funeral Home Chapel in Owensboro. Burial will be in Elmwood cemetery. Visitation is from 2 to 8 p.m. Sunday and after 9 a.m. Monday at the funeral home. CENTRAL CITY - Charles William Mitchell, 75, of Central City died Thursday, Dec. 3, 1998, at Muhlenberg Community Hospital in Greenville. He was born in Muhlenberg County, was a retired road construction foreman and was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Central City.
Survivors include a daughter, Rebecca Page of Russellville; two grandchildren; and a sister, Mary Frances Mitchell of Greenville; and several cousins.
Graveside services are at 11:30 a.m. Sunday at Rose Hill cemetery in Central City. Visitation is after 5 p.m. today at Tucker Funeral Home in Central City. A wake service will be at 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Zelma Lois Rogers

LEWISPORT - Zelma Lois Rogers, 62, formerly of Lewisport, died Thursday, Dec. 3, 1998, at Riverside Manor in Calhoun. She was born in Sample, was a homemaker and was of the Baptist faith. She was preceded in death by her husband, Gleneal Rogers, in 1975.
Survivors include a daughter, Gloria D. Miracle of Brooks; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; a brother, Milton Waldrip Jr. of Owensboro; and three sisters, Amelia Jo Conder and Lula Bolen, both of Lewisport, and Jolly Hook of Louisville.
Services are at 2 p.m. Sunday at Taylor-Raymond-Spear Funeral Home in Lewisport. Burial will be in Lewisport cemetery. Visitation is from 5 to 8 p.m. today and after 8 a.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
Billy Ray 'Spud' Taylor

CENTRAL CITY - Billy Ray "Spud" Taylor, 67, of Central City died Thursday, Dec. 3, 1998, at Muhlenberg Community Hospital in Greenville. He was born in Muhlenberg County, retired from U.S. Steel in Gary, Ind., and was a member of Richardson Chapel General Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Joyce Taylor; a son, Mike Taylor of Portage, Ind.; a daughter, Teresa Chamberlain of Portage; and one grandchild.
Services are at 2 p.m. Sunday at Tucker Funeral Home in Central City. Burial will be in Rose Hill cemetery in Central City. Visitation is after 4:30 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Melvie Mae Brewer

BELTON - Melvie Mae Brewer, 76, of Belton died Tuesday, Dec. 1, 1998, at a daughter's home. She was born in Muhlenberg County, was a homemaker and was a member of Horton's Chapel Church of Christ near Belton. She was preceded in death by her husband, Howard Brewer.
Survivors include six sons, David Earl Brewer of Nebo, Paul Truman Brewer and Walter Leonard Brewer, both of Belton, Jackie Dale Brewer of South Carrollton, Roger Lee Brewer of Franklin and Jimmy Glenwood Brewer of Carmi, Ill.; three daughters, Peggy Ann Goad of Park City, Betty Johnson of Browder and Fredia Fay Toomey of Belton; 29 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; six half brothers, Johnny Buchanan, Billy Buchanan, David Buchanan and William Henry Buchanan, all of Belton, and Thurman Slaton and J.W. Slaton, both of Nortonville; and two half sisters, Barbara Jamison and Debbie Baynes, both of Belton.
Services are at 2 p.m. Friday at Tucker Beechmont Funeral Home. Burial will be in Horton's Chapel cemetery near Belton. Visitation is after 5 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Thomas Walton Puckett, 43, of Daviess County died in Owensboro. He was born in Hardin County, was employed by Felix Thruston as a farm laborer and was a member of Green River Baptist Church in Cromwell.
Survivors include his wife, Joan Carole Puckett of Beaver Dam; a son, Robert Puckett of Beaver Dam; a daughter, Brandace Puckett of Beaver Dam; his mother, Ona Bell Puckett of Hartford; and two brothers, Jesse Lewis Puckett of Cromwell and Larry Eugene Puckett of Hartford.
Services are at 2 p.m. Thursday at Miller-Schapmire Funeral Home in Hartford. Burial will be in Oakwood cemetery in Hartford. Visitation is after 10 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

CENTRAL CITY - William E. Cobb, 64, of Central City died Wednesday, Dec. 2, 1998, at VA Hospital in Louisville. He was born in Muhlenberg County, was an Army veteran and retired from the assembly line at Whirlpool in Evansville. He was a member of Richardson Chapel General Baptist Church in Muhlenberg County and Chapter 64 of the Disabled American Veterans.
Survivors include his wife, Jo Cobb; a son, Anthony Cobb of Owensboro; one grandchild; one stepgrandchild; a brother, Eugene Cobb of Grandview, Ind.; and a sister, Dean Quisenberry of Florida.

Marvin Earl Conway, 85, of 2815 Aldersgate Drive, Owensboro, died Thursday, Dec. 3, 1998, at Hermitage Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Owensboro. He was born in Owensboro, retired from General Electric after 43 years, was a veteran of the Naval Reserve and was a member of First Church of the Nazarene. He enjoyed bowling and was a pitcher for the General Electric softball team. He was preceded in death by a son, Charles H. Conway, in 1962.
Survivors include his wife of 61 years, Virginia Mae Herrell Conway; four sons, Ernest E. Conway, Wilbur A. Conway and Marvin M. Conway, all of Owensboro, and Larry W. Conway of Russellville; a daughter, Charlotte Conway Kamuf of Owensboro; 10 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and several nephews and nieces.
Services are at noon Monday at First Church of the Nazarene in Owensboro. Burial will be in Elmwood cemetery. Visitation is from 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday and from 9 to 11:30 a.m. Monday at Glenn Funeral Home in Owensboro. CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. - Lonnis Jelette Pearce, 76, of Clarksville, formerly of Owensboro, died Thursday, Aug. 6, 1998, at Clarksville Memorial Hospital. He was born in Bertie County, N.C., and was a World War II veteran. He retired as a civil service communications administrator at Fort Campbell and as a sergeant first class from the Army. He was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Clarksville and was a member and former president of New Providence Civitan Club.
Survivors include his wife, Martha Porter Pearce; two sons, David J. Pearce of Nashville, Tenn., and Gary D. Pearce of Valdosta, Ga.; two daughters, Carolyn J. Keeter of Lawrenceburg, Tenn., and JoAnn E. Berner of Lawrence, Kan.; 13 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; three brothers, Edward Pearce, Merritt Pearce and Alden Pearce, all of Chesapeake, Va.; and two sisters, Harriett White and Bessie Mae Mitchell, both of Windsor, N.C.
Services are at 10 a.m. Monday at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Clarksville. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cross Mausoleum in Nashville, where full military honors will be conducted. Visitation is from 4 to 8 p.m. Saturday and from 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday at McReynolds-Nave & Larson Chapel in Clarksville. A vigil service will be at 7 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. CLOVERPORT - Leander G. Bruner, 86, of Cloverport died Saturday, Nov. 28, 1998, at Breckinridge Memorial Hospital in Hardinsburg. He was born in Hancock County, was a member of Cloverport United Methodist Church, where he was Sunday school superintendent for many years, and was a Kentucky Colonel.
Survivors include a son, Griffen Bruner of Papillion, Neb.; three daughters, Amelia Carpenter of Versailles, Mary Chancellor of Clay and Charmaine Bruner of Cloverport; eight grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
Services are at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Wallace Funeral Home in Cloverport. Burial will be in Cloverport cemetery. Visitation is from 4 to 8 p.m. today and after 8 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

BEECHMONT - James Garrett Ingram, 80, of Beechmont died Saturday, Nov. 28, 1998, at his home. He was born in Frenchburg, was a retired miner and was a member of Beech Creek Baptist Church.

She was born in McLean County, was a member of Settle Memorial United Methodist Church and was a member of the United Methodist Women. She was a member of the former Cotillion Club and a member of the Junior League and the Hospital Guild.
Survivors include her husband, Frederic "Tag" Triplett; a son, Frederic Ames Triplett Jr. of Owensboro; a daughter, Cary T. Stevens of Winston-Salem, N.C.; three grandchildren; a brother, Glover Cary Jr. of Owensboro; and a sister, Sara Ghee Miller of Owensboro.
