Louise Wright
LIVERMORE — Louise “Sis” Wright, 77, died of congestive heart failure Saturday, March 3, 2001, at the Ohio County Hospital in Hartford.
She retired from the former Charles Chips Plant in Calhoun and was a member of the Richland Baptist Church in McLean County.
Surviving are a daughter, Kay Poiles of Calhoun; a son, Douglas W. Wright of Hartford; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Her husband, Douglas B., died in 1981.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Muster Funeral Homes Livermore Chapel, with burial in Richland Baptist cemetery.
Friends may call from 5 to 9 p.m. today and from 9 a.m. to service time at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to a van fund at the church.
Kit Nelson
HANSON — Kit Lynn Nelson, 32, died Saturday, March 3, 2001, at Madisonville Regional Medical Center’s emergency room. His death is being investigated by the Hopkins County deputy coroner.
He was a dredge operator for TNT Washing.
Surviving are his wife, Tracy of Madisonville; a daughter, Heather Marie Nelson of Madisonville; his father, Wayne Nelson of Hanson; and a brother, Hugo of Owensboro.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Barnett-Strother Funeral Home, with burial in Olive Branch cemetery.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday and from 10 a.m. to service time at the funeral home.
Margaret Peak
HENDERSON — Margaret Peak, 90, died Saturday, March 3, 2001, at the Sam Houston Gardens Nursing Home in Houston.
She was a lifelong member of the First Baptist Church in Henderson.
Surviving are a daughter, Sue Crafton of Houston; two grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Her husband, Rufus, died in 1989.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at Benton-Glunt Funeral Home, with entombment in Fernwood cemetery. Friends may call from 11 a.m. to service time.
Memorial contributions may be made to the First Baptist Church building fund.
Roger Reeves
PHILPOT — Roger L. Reeves, 74, died of complications of a heart condition Saturday, March 3, 2001, at Owensboro Mercy Health System.
He retired as a letter carrier after 30 years with the postal service, and he was a woodworker.
He was a member of the Dawson Baptist Church and attended the Macedonia Baptist Church.
He was past master of the Masonic Lodge for two terms.
Surviving are his wife of 56 years, Nancy (White); three daughters, Darlene McCarty of Louisville, Patricia Scifres of Hope Mills, N.C., and Sarah Lee Bivin of Fort Branch, Ind.; a son, John Richard of Fort Worth, Texas; seven grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Haley McGinnis Funeral Home, with burial in Macedonia Baptist cemetery.
Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Milton Dean
STURGIS — Milton Dean, 75, died of cancer Friday, March 2, 2001, at his home.
He was a coal miner for 36 years and a member of the United Mine Workers.
He was a World War II Navy veteran and member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars.
Surviving are his wife of 55 years, Clara Imogene; four daughters, Mildred Brack and Frances Berry, both of Henderson and Bonnie Garcia and Connie Mackey, both of Sturgis; three sons, Donnie Dean of St. Ann, Ill., Cary of Uniontown and Gary of Sturgis; a stepson, John Dailey of Mississippi; grandchildren; and great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Whitsell Funeral Home, with burial in Pythian Ridge cemetery.

Syble Peyton
RICHLAND — Syble A. Peyton, 77, died of complications of cancer Saturday, March 3, 2001, at her home.
She was a member of Emberry United Methodist Church.
Surviving are her husband, J.B.; three daughters, Linda Blackburn of Princeton, Sharon Skeen of Greenville and Leslie Reager of Madisonville; three sons, Terry of Richland, David of Dalton and Jason of Fort Lauderdale, Fla.; two sisters, Brooksie Sanders of Greenville and Ruby Pritchard of Shawneetown, Ill.; four brothers, Kenneth and Bobby Putty of Providence, Billy Putty of Mortons Gap and Bryan Putty of Madisonville; 12 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Harris Funeral Home, with burial in Rose Creek cemetery near Coiltown.

Paul Sullenger
MARION — Paul Sullenger, 77, died of heart failure Saturday, March 3, 2001, at his home.
He retired from the postal service and was also part owner of Sullenger Brothers Trucking.
He was a World War II Navy veteran and a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 5486 and American Legion Post 111.
He was a member of the Marion Baptist Church, a 50-year member of the Masons and president of the Town and Country Riding Club.
Surviving are his wife, Lois; two sisters, Mary Elizabeth Binkley of Valparaiso, Ind., and Wilma Lynn of Marion; two brothers, Douglas of Marion and J.L. of Hobart, Ind.; and nieces and nephews.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Gilbert Funeral Home, with burial in Mapleview cemetery.

Virginia Eaton
MARION — Virginia Stalion Eaton, 89, died Sunday, March 4, 2001, at Methodist Medical Center in Peoria, Ill.
She was a member of Southland Baptist Temple in Paducah.
Surviving are two daughters, Ella Pauline Caruth of West Peoria, Ill., and Ann Wring of Memphis, Tenn.; two stepdaughters, Joann Norman of Peoria and Kathy Doyle of Cheyenne, Wyo.; a son, Wayne Stalion of Groveland, Ill.; a stepson, Sidney Eaton of Nevada; a brother, Rance Wesmolan Jr. of Eddyville; eight grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two husbands, Robert Crawford Stalion and Charles Eaton.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Gilbert Funeral Home, with burial in Love cemetery.

Charles Pinkston
OWENSBORO — Charles William Pinkston, 71, died of complications of emphysema Friday, March 2, 2001, at Owensboro Mercy Health System.
He retired from the Murphy Miller Chair Factory. He was a Korean War veteran.
He was a Baptist and former member of the American Legion, Veterans of Foreign Wars and Fraternal Order of Police.
Surviving are his wife of 34 years, Mary M.; six daughters, Linda Fay, Beverly Ann Brown, Rita Rice and Debra Logsdon, all of Owensboro, Mary Lee Gray of Arizona and Holly Carol Runkle of Frankfort; a son, Charles V. of Owensboro; two stepsons, Joseph Goins Sr. of Evansville and Orville Crowe of Owensboro; a sister, Viola Littlepage of Owensboro; a brother, Peter Allen of Owensboro; 16 grandchildren; and 22 great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Glenn Funeral Home, with burial in Owensboro Memorial Gardens.

Thomas Vaughn
UNIONTOWN — Thomas Gene Vaughn, 65, died of cancer Saturday, March 3, 2001, at his home.
He was a member of the Uniontown Baptist Church and the Masonic Lodge.
Surviving are his wife Linda (Clevidence); two daughters, Tonya Wells of Morganfield and Vicky Gillespie of Colorado Springs, Colo.; a son, Rodney of Morganfield; and five grandchildren.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the Uniontown Baptist Church, with burial in the Uniontown City cemetery.
Friends may call form 3 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, 9 to 11:30 a.m. Wednesday at Whitsell Funeral Home in Morganfield and from noon to service time at the church.
