John Winters
PRINCETON - John Winters, 54, died Friday, May 25, 2001, at Caldwell County Hospital of an apparent heart attack.
He was the shipping manager at Bremner in Princeton and an Army veteran.
Surviving are his wife, Pam Rose; two daughters, Christy Muscar and Angie Winters, both of Caldwell County; three sisters, Mary Mareno of San Pablo, Calif., Betty Bernhart of Phoenix, Ariz., and Phyllis DeWitt of Louisville; and nieces and nephews.
Services will be at 1 p.m. today at Morgan's Funeral Home, and in Mount Washington Wednesday at 11 a.m. at McFarland-Troutman Funeral Home. The body will be cremated.
'Becky' Galloway
HENDERSON - Rebecca 'Becky' Galloway, 67, died Sunday, May 27, 2001, at Deaconess Hospital in Evansville of cancer.
She retired from Alcan, was a graduate of Lockyear Business College and the University of Evansville and a member of Zion Baptist Church.
Surviving are her husband of 46 years, George W.; two sons, Bill of Henderson and Mike of Cary, N.C.; two sisters, Mary Collins of Fairfield, Ill., and Glenna Parker of Terre Haute, Ind.; four brothers, Dale, Robert and Richard Leigh, all of Albion, Ill., and Benny Leigh of Parkersburg, Ill.; four grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at Rudy-Rowland Funeral Home, with burial in Fairmont cemetery.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 p.m. and from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday and from 8 a.m. to service time at the funeral home.

Flora Davis
ISLAND - Flora May Davis, 89, died Saturday, May 26, 2001, at her home.
She was a member of Buttonsberry Baptist Church.
Surviving are five daughters, Jewell Boyken of Island, Carol Smith of Bremen, Dorothy Stevens of Atlanta, Mich., Linda Coffman of Crofton and Donna Howard of Winterville, N.C.; a son, Johnny Eugene Davis of Ionia, Mich.; 18 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. Her husband, John William, died in 1966.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Muster Funeral Homes Livermore Chapel, with burial in Oak Hill cemetery in Livermore. Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. today and from 9 a.m. to service time.
Brandy Dunning
STURGIS - Brandy Anne Therese Dunning, 18, died Sunday, May 27, 2001, at her home of complications of a seizure.
Surviving are her parents, Carl and Lennore Dunning of Sturgis; and five brothers, Jim Corey of Springfield, Mo., and Kelley R. Anderson and Brian K., Mark H. and Michael C. Dunning, all of Virginia Beach, Va.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. Francis Borgia Catholic Church, with burial in Hilltop cemetery in Crofton.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today, with a prayer service at 7 p.m., and from 8 a.m. to service time at Whitsell Funeral Home.
Mary Young
PRINCETON - Mary Belle Young, 89, died Sunday, May 27, 2001, at Caldwell County Hospital.
She retired from the Princeton Hosiery Mill. She was a member of the Northside Baptist Church.
Surviving are a daughter, Eula Rambo of Princeton; a son, Leonard of Princeton; a sister, Eva Mae George of Calvert City; two granddaughters, Robin Ann Getz and Karol Smith; two stepgranddaughters, Brenda Sue McGregor and Linda Blythe; a great-grandson; and six stepgreat-grandchildren.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Morgan's Funeral Home, with burial in New Bethel Church cemetery.

Martha Cullen
PROVIDENCE — Martha Lucile Cullen, 90, died Saturday, May 26, 2001, at Colonial Terrace Nursing Home in Sebree.
Surviving are a daughter, Julia Childress of Providence; two grandchildren, Janet Seibel and Kelly Childress; and three great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James, in 2001.
Services are pending at Townsend-Jones Funeral Home.
Thomas Gipson
MORGANFIELD — Thomas “Little Hoot” Gipson Jr., 53, died Saturday, May 26, 2001, at St. Mary’s Medical Center in Evansville of a colon infection.
Surviving are four daughters, Dorothy Gipson, Chasidy Duncan and Shannon Gettings, all of Henderson and Kimberly Gipson of Reed, Ky.; a son, Thomas III of Morganfield; a sister, Dorris Woodring of Morganfield; three brothers, Marty of Morganfield and Wiley and Mike of Waverly; seven grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
Services will be at 3 p.m. Tuesday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, with burial in St. Peter cemetery in Waverly.

Truman Highfil
MARION — Truman Highfil, 91, died Friday, May 25, 2001, at Crittenden Hospital.
He was a magistrate in Crittenden County for many years.
He was a member of Mexico Baptist Church.
Surviving are a sister, Mary Krider of Marion; a brother, Jimmy Highfil of Marion; and several nieces and nephews.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Gilbert Funeral Home, with burial in Mexico cemetery.

Infant Alexandra Mejean
HENDERSON — Alexandra Faith Mejean, the daughter of Terry and Cynthia Mejean of Spottsville, Ky., was stillborn Thursday, May 24, 2001, at Methodist Hospital.
Also surviving are two brothers, Ryan and Noah; her grandparents; and her great-grandparents.
Private graveside services will be Tuesday at Roselawn Memorial Gardens. Benton-Glunt Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
Sandra Jones
HENDERSON — Sandra (Pirtle) Jones, 60, formerly of Henderson, died Saturday, May 26, 2001, at Indian Creek Health and Rehabilitation in Corydon, Ind., of complications of a stroke.
She was a Baptist.
Surviving are her husband of 28 years, Albert; two daughters, Sharon Womack and Debra Hall, both of Louisville; a son, Albert of Farmington, Mich.; a sister, Beverly Hogan of Horse Cave; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Rudy-Rowland Funeral Home, with burial in Fernwood cemetery.

DAWSON SPRINGS - William Joseph Mullins, 20, died Friday, May 11, 2001, in Hopkins County in an automobile accident.
He worked at Tyson Foods and was a Baptist.
Surviving are his wife, Crystal Jean; a daughter, Ciera; a son, Joseph; his parents, Kenneth of Dawson Springs and Charlotte of Madisonville; two brothers, Mark and Joshua of Dawson Springs; and his grandmother, Thelma Mullins of Dawson Springs.

Harry Powers
MORGANFIELD - Harry Powers, 79, died Friday, May 11, 2001, at VA Hospital in Marion, Ill., of complications of diabetes.
He was a member of Operating Engineers Union Local 181.
He was a lifetime member of Veterans of Foreign Wars and a past commander of VFW Post 5563.
Surviving are three daughters, Phyllis Hartley of Clay, Brenda Becerra of Wake Forest, N.C., and Judy Dreher of Medina, Ohio; two sons, Harry of Clay and Kenneth of Raleigh, N.C.; eight sisters, Ozetta Huff, Odessa Lane, Omagean Powell, Betty McGrew and Jane Byrnes, all of Owensboro, Bertha Ralph of Utica, N.Y., Evelyn Marquis of Macedonia, Ill., and Nancy Caplinn of Casper, Wyo.; four brothers, Tom of Cleveland, Hazel of Morganfield, Jerry of Louisville and Walter of Owensboro; 12 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 9 a.m. Monday at Whitsell Funeral Home, with burial in Odd Fellows cemetery.

MADISONVILLE - Velice Mae Browning, 89, died Saturday, May 12, 2001, at NHC Health Care.
She was a member of Salem Missionary Baptist Church in Mortons Gap.
Surviving are a daughter, Joyce Bruce of Nortonville; a son, Wayne of Madisonville; two sisters, Catherine Farmer of Mortons Gap and Dorothy Welling of Fern Park, Fla.; a brother, Lloyd Vanderveer of Madisonville; eight grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; five great-great grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry, in 1982.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Salem Missionary Baptist Church in Mortons Gap, with burial in the church cemetery.
