Ronnie Hunt
MARION — Ronnie Hunt, 54, died Monday, July 2, 2001, at Crittenden County Convalescent Center of heart failure.
Surviving are his parents, Donald and Wanda Lee Hunt of Marion; a sister, Janna Croft of Tolu; two brothers, Joe and Bernie, both of Marion; and nieces and nephews.
Services will be at 2 p.m. today at Gilbert Funeral Home, with burial in Pleasant Hill cemetery.
James Hardwick
OWENSBORO — James Wendell Hardwick, 84, of Marietta, Ga., died Monday, July 2, 2001, at Cobb Hospital in Marietta.
He had been an instructor in mathematics for seven years at the Southern Technical Institute. He had worked in insurance and accounting.
He was a graduate of Georgia State College.
He served for 13 years in the Army Air Corps.
His memberships included, the American Society for Engineering Education, American Mathematical Society, Reserve Officers and Retired Officers Associations.
There are no immediate survivors.
Graveside services 4 p.m. Friday in Elmwood cemetery.
Corene Duncan
HENDERSON — Corene Tapp Duncan, 90, died Tuesday, July 3, 2001, at Colonial Terrace Nursing Home in Sebree.
She was a member of Henderson General Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 68 years, Buford, in 1998 and a daughter, Janell Duncan, in 1941.
Surviving are three daughters, Joretta Porter of Henderson, Freida Moore of Bowling Green and Martha Duncan of Louisville; a son, Jimmy C. of Henderson; a sister, Marietta Chandler of Dixon; a brother, Elbert Tapp of Henderson; nine grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Rudy-Rowland Funeral Home, with burial in Shady Grove cemetery in Poole.
Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. Friday and from 8 a.m. to service time at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to Henderson General Baptist Church or St. Anthony’s Hospice.
James Raymond Jr.
HENDERSON - James B. Raymond Jr., 83, of Corydon, died Monday, July 2, 2001, at Redbanks Nursing home.
He was a farmer, a Realtor, operated a plumbing business and was a rural mail carrier for more than 30 years.
He was a World War II Navy veteran, a Kentucky Colonel and member of the Presbyterian Church in Henderson. He also was a member of the National Rural Mail Carriers Association.
Surviving are his wife of 61 years, Virginia; a daughter, Pamela Smith of Houston; a son, Ronald D. of Lewisport; a sister, Marcheta McDaniel of Corydon; a brother, Samuel O. of Poseyville, Ind.; and five grandchildren.
A daughter, Jacqueline Ann Givens, died in 1998.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at Tapp Funeral Home, with burial in Fernwood cemetery.

James Barron
HENDERSON - James John Barron, 89, died Saturday, June 30, 2001, at Methodist Hospital. He was Baptist.
Surviving are his wife of 36 years, Rose; two sons, Jimmy and Michael, both of Henderson; two stepgrandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Tapp Funeral Home, with burial in Smith Mills cemetery.

Virginia Blackston
HENDERSON - Virginia 'Moomie' Blackston, 70, died Sunday, July 1, 2001, at Methodist Hospital of cancer.
Surviving are two daughters, Vicki Kurtz of Henderson and Stephanie Renee Robison of Ardmore, Ala.; a son, Michael Mullins of Henderson; a sister, Helen Marie Pritchett of Bremmerton, Wash.; a half sister, Deritha Dean Duncan of Mount Vernon, Ind.; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Tapp Funeral Home, with burial in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.

Emma McCoy
MADISONVILLE - Emma Gene McCoy, 85, died Sunday, July 1, 2001, at Ridgewood Terrace Nursing Home.
She was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Isabel Gardner Sunday school class and sang in the ABC choir.
Surviving are two sons, Jerald W. of Birmingham, Ala., and Joe E. of Madisonville; three grandchildren, Michelle Caughlin, Donna Sue Shubert and Joshua McCoy; and four great-grandchildren. Her husband, Ora O. 'Mack, - died in 1982.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Barnett-Strother Funeral Home, with burial in Slaughters cemetery.

Bobby Foreman
MADISONVILLE - Bobby Ray Foreman, 69, died Sunday, July 1, 2001, at his home of lung cancer.
He was a coal miner for the Peabody Coal Co.
He was a member of Grapevine Christian Church, Masonic Lodge and Scottish Rite.
Surviving are a daughter, Martha Elizabeth Verne of Madisonville; his mother, Elizabeth Mae Adams Foreman of Madisonville; and two grandchildren, Katherine Elizabeth Helwig and Jesse Lee Verne. His wife, Katherine Harstine Foreman, died in 1997.
Graveside memorial services will be in Fairfield cemetery in West Lafayette, Ohio. There will be no visitation at Harris Funeral Home.
Memorial contributions may be made to Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens in Madisonville.
Rev. John Henning
OWENSBORO - The Rev. John Paul Henning, 73, died Sunday, July 1, 2001, at Owensboro Mercy Health System of complications of diabetes.
He was a founder and pastor for 20 years of the First Church of God. He was a professional wrestler for 18 years and a World War II Navy veteran.
Surviving are his wife of 40 years, Peggy (Jordan); a son, Jim of Providence; a sister, Frances Suggs of St. Petersburg, Fla.; and two grandchildren.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at the First Church of God, with burial in Rosehill cemetery.
Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. Wednesday and from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Thursday at James H. Davis Funeral Home.

William Underdown
MARION - William Edward Underdown, 69, died Friday, June 29, 2001, at his home. The cause of death is under investigation by the Crittenden County coroners office.
He was a Korean War Air Force veteran.
Surviving are three daughters, Thelma Atkinson, Linda Jackson and Cathy Vaughn, all of Elizabethtown, Ill.; two sons, John Underdown of Hickman, and Mike Underdown of Marion; a sister, Mildred Holbrook of Indianapolis; a brother, Glen Underdown of Marion; and eight grandchildren.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Gilbert Funeral Home, Sister Lucy Tedrick officiating, with burial in Underdown cemetery, with military rites.

Harold Baize
EARLINGTON - Harold 'Buttermilk' Baize, 71, died Friday, June 29, 2001, at his home of a heart attack.
He was a route salesman for U.C. Milk Co. for 48 years.
He was an Army veteran.
He was a member of Post 6 of the American Legion in Madisonville, the Joseph Vernon Lloyd Post 2 of the American Legion, Bailey Pride Post 5480 of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, the Kentucky Colonels and the Elks.
Surviving are his wife, Bonnie; a daughter, Diane Matchem of Earlington; a son, Jimmy Baize of Earlington; three sisters, Jane Rickard of Earlington, Josephine Gamblin of Mortons Gap and Joan Rickard of Madisonville; two brothers, John Baize of Sebree and Lucian Baize of White Plains; two stepdaughters, Louise Kramer of Earlington and Annie Tyson of Nortonville; three stepsons, Charlie Burgett of White Plains, Lonnie Burgett of Mayfield and Mike Burgett of Henderson; 19 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Reid-Walters Funeral Home in Earlington, the Rev. David Simpson officiating, with burial in Oakwood cemetery.
